Great place if you have a car

We stayed for 2 nights and this was the cheapest hotel when we booked the night before arriving. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel was very centrally located in the middle of Amalfi town and had a charming rooftop terrace serving tasty breakfast with great views of the mountains. Good value.

Excelent location

It was right in the centre of Amalfi and not too many steps for older persons. The breakfast was excellent.

It was definitely cheaper than most but a great location and breakfast on the roof was a great way to start the day

Stairs to hotel. Quite an effort to lug suitcases up the hill and up about 20 steps to get to the hotel

Pleasant staff. Good location for trips, walks, strolling around Amalfi.

My wife and I liked its close proximity to shops, beach and transport (buses and ferries). The staff were extremely helpful with all enquiries including organising day trips. The staff were always available to provide information when required. Our room was made clean and tidy on a daily basis and thee buffet breakfast provided an excellent start to the busy day ahead. All in all the hotel was delight to stay at.

The Hotel Amalfi was in an excellent situation in the middle of Amalfi . It was exceptionally clean and staff very friendly.

If you are looking for a luxury hotel this is not the hotel for you. Computer access on third floor was difficult to access.

Hotel Amalfi is pectfectly located (literally 100 metres from the main square / beach), very friendly staff and safe.

WiFi was worse than a dial up connection. Impossible to use.

Hotel staff was usually very agitated, except for one sweet girl that didn't have to say much. The rooms are small. Just not the best pick for that price. Would not recommend this place.

The hotel is close to shops, beach, restaurants, infact everything. But it is almost impossible to get there by car, and Amalfi is not car-friendly. This hotell has their own parking, make sure to book it!

No, we had an excellent stay there!

Excellent location. We were a group of 8 touring the Amalfi coast. This is definitely the place to stay. The hotel was excellent. Very close to everything: sea, cathedral, in the middle of the town with restaurant and shops, perfect location for hikes and runs in the mountains. Highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice, not fancy, but clean and highly functional. Probably the best thing was that when we arrived they had NO record of our booking through booking.com BUT they found a room for us anyway (luckily they had a room)!

The breakfast was very poor.

Great location as it was nearby everything yet away from traffic noises. Lovely spacious room with balcony. The garden was an added bonus as was the rooftop breakfast area with its panorama.

Although we had made a non-refund booking giving mastercard guarantee, I was not happy that they had put that through immediately upon booking as I have a Travelex mastercard that we use for actual payment upon arrival. Msg to Booking.com - can I use my Travelex M.card for reservation purposes (it is actually a debit card)?

It was a very drab room that seemed old and didn't compare to our other hotels in Positano or Cinque Terre at all. It was right in the city, the bed was hard, there was no balcony and the staff wasn't extremely friendly. They kept asking us to give them an exact time we were checking out.

The location was fantastic just off the main street in the centre of town, We booked a superior family room for 4 which was spacious. It had a balcony, a large double bed and two singles with good air con and a modern shower room. It was ideal. The staff were friendly and obliging. We had a lovely holiday with lots of things to do we will return back one day.Added bonus is the hotel has parking but beware, it costs 20 euro's per day and in all honesty a car is not necessary. Breakfast is limited in choice but was sufficient for us.

Location and friendly staff

Wireless internet in the room was non-existent. We had to connect sitting in the corridor, not ideal!

Location provided easy access to Amalfi & transportation to other towns, ferry to Capri. Hotel staff were very helpful & provided useful advice regarding day trips. Overall, a good experience at reasonable price.

We could hear conversations at the restaurant next door late into the evening. Rooms on the other side of the hotel may be quieter. Internet wifi access is free, but not accessible in the room - only in lobby & dining area. Mosquitoes are present in the shaded walkways outside the hotel & elsewhere in Amalfi, particularly after a rain.

Great staff, great venue, very central. A very good budget hotel.

Location

Indifferent unfriendly staff. Due to poor natural light into the room, not enough electric light, making the room dingy. Hot water never hot, only warm. Windows had to shut and the air conditioner had to be used because of the noise from the street, not a problem in its self. But the air conditioner would never work properly, advise was sought from the staff with, who said, you don't need it in Amalfi.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and really helpful. The room was delightful and the hotel was in a convenient and relatively quiet spot (for Amalfi). Breakfast was excellent. We loved everything about this hotel.
