location, the staff too polit and very kindly
only the toilet, they need restoration and repair
I liked the postion of the hotel, general level of comfort and helpful staff. Also the standard of the breakfast, pleasant breakfast area and lovely cloakrooms. I liked the big choice of television stations.
There was a light bulb that needed changing on arrival. The bedroom safe did not work. The room phone would only connect with reception at first. There was some wallpaper peeling in the bedroom. The strip light over the mirror in the bathroom did not work. There was a chipped jug used for fruit juice in the breakfast buffet and a chipped bowl was noted.
Location. Breakfast. Evening Reception staff.
Location and the staff.
Location is terrific; Breakfast was great; Staff was helpful in a compliant but not overly friendly way.
Room nothing like that pictured on booking.com website - needs updating. Far worse was a awful methane smell emanating from the bathroom. Had to keep the bathroom door closed, and bathroom window fully open (in Feb) for duration of stay. Oh and the elevators - there seem to be several - but all but one would be out of service, making for very very long waits. During a four day stay, never was more than one elevator for 90+ rooms in service.
the location is perfect close to all shopping area and the duomo place also to the sanbabila bus station that takes u direct to Linate Airport.
the room furniture and the dimension.also the shower looks like not a 4 stars hotel.
To be uprade
Stafs are helpful! Completly clean and the best location! 2 min from Metro! I loved!
Front Desk Staff good interaction, Nice location, well managed property, rooms are quite and sized well, breakfast service is nice.
Only one elevator working. Still Old key system with a heavy key chain. WiFi every time needs to login. Floor Carpets are old and stained.
I stayed in Ambasciatori hotel for 3 nights. The location of the hotel was excellent only few steps from Duomo and shopping streets. You have metro stop at Duomo and tram stops very close by. Room and the bathroom were with decent size but they need some refurbishment. Very good breakfast with quite some choice of meat/fruits/cheese and cakes (typical for Italian breakfast). The staff at the reception helpful.
The Internet did not work well. I have been logged out every 30-40min and I had to login again.
Staff were extremely friendly, professional & helpful. Unfortunately my suitcase didnt turn up at the airport. This was quite distressing but the hotel receptionist in particular a lady called Beata was brilliant. She went out of her way to call lost luggage at the airport. She empathised with me and went over & above the call of duty. Even down to calling me on my mobile after i had checked out of the hotel to say that she had called the airport again but to no availe. She didnt have to do this but she kept her word. People have choices to make when booking hotels but through her helpfulness i would stay loyal to this hotel and would return. Thank you for taking the time to read this testimonial.
There was nothing i didnt like about this hotel booking.
Staff and location
To have to introduce the ID and PW of the free WIFI
Location and breakfast
Location and price
Bed , room had an odor, could not control room temperature- it was very warm had to open window. Room 312
The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing. We would stay here again. Staff is cordial and helpful. Rooms are attractive and fairly large with modern bathrooms.
Our only criticism: the flat pillows.
Breakfast poor selection....no drawers at room....carpet at lobby old and dirty...too too expensive...wifi a problem to change everyday code...if it is only available place i will not go to Milan
Location is fantastic, just behind the Domo and in the Galleries. Breakfast brings a lot of options.
Overpriced for the room and furniture old state. In urgent needs of renovation.
Go out of the hotel for the real Milan shopping experience.... metro very near, also the dome and the food stalls where u get excellent cheeses.....
the staff was a bit rude, seemed like a business hotel, not very friendly with the tourists except one young Italian guy....also lifts broken down and chaos for exit finding in emergency exit....seemed like a mouse maze
I travel extensively for work, this being my 4th time in milan I had not had good experiences with hotels, how happy I was to find this hotel, the location is perfect, my room was stunning, staff where warm and welcoming. A must stay if In milan. This is now my hotel of choice whilst in Milan.
The free wifi was extremely hit and miss, however I will say that I have found this every time I have been in Milan, so although it was a minus, it would not deter me from this hotel.
The location is super, very close (within walking distance) to most of the major sites: the Duomo (also Duomo metro station), the Galleria, La Scala, the Brera Picture Gallery ... easy metro rides to the Cenocolo Vincia (Da Vinci's Last Supper - book tickets asap) and the magnificen Basilica of San Ambrogio (St Ambrose, 1700 year old place of worship.) Very competent and friendly staff ...
The only bug would be the need to repeatedly login to the wifi, but that is pretty much normal -- wonderful when only one login is required, of course. Odd that we're asked not to use the mini-bar fridge as a fridge (didn't need to, but why not?)
Great Location, it's place is perfect for shopping. Hotel is also good for business man and family. Room is big and comfortable, quiet. Breakfast is enough. Will go again.
There is problem about Wi-fi, we couldnt connect in the room.
wifi was working bad
The hotel was right behind the Duomo and next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, which means you hardly have to use the metro while staying here since most attractions are in Piazza Del Duomo in Milan. The rooms were comfortable, clean and pretty decent. Nothing too posh or elegant but can't complain because of the services and location. We checked out at 11 and since our flight was at 9 at night, we needed a place to store our luggage. The hotel staff gladly took responsibility of it. If I was coming to Milan again, I wouldnt stay anywhere else. Highly recommended.
Compared to prices in Florence and Rome, this was slightly expensive. But then again, the location and services were commendable!
Great location Very nice staff Breakfast is alright
Elevators are terribly slow Too many stairs
