Very friendly, cheerful &helpful staff. Quiet village type location though close to station. Room simply furnished but very clean, good shower, quiet air con, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Scent of orange blossom. Breakfast room/bar a bit like a works canteen. Local buses leave much to be desired - don't believe the timetable (any version thereof!)

Paolo was fantastic when my friend was sick - genuinely caring - nothing was too much trouble, and the tourist info and maps we received were great. Beautifully kept hotel with pleasant outdoor area, short walk to the coastline with access through tunnels to the water and romantic sunsets. Short walk from the station for trains and buses to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. No lift.

The Staff were the best staff I have ever come across in any hotel. Paulo welcomed us with a big smile, carried our cases up the stairs and gave us lots of information on local transport, places to eat , excursions etc. So friendly. Our room was at the front of the hotel and had a balcony which we were able to sit out on during the evening and watch the world go by, The Hotel is in the Village of St Agnello and is in easy walking distance of the shops and is only 20 minutes walk away from Sorrento. I loved this hotel and it was a friendly, and above all else honest and good value.

The hotel is family-run. Paolo was very friendly and attentive and gave us very useful local information about good restaurants nearby and he booked an excellent boat trip to Corfu for us at short notice. His father very kindly offered us a lift with our bags to the train station. The road by our balcony could get quite busy with passing cars and motor- cycle fumes. The bedroom decor was a bit dated.

I have visited the hotel before, - and chose to stay there again. The facilities are good, the rooms nice and the breakfast good. Nice terrace in the shade - and friendly and service minded staff. The hotel is good situated for trips to things to see in the surroundings - Sorrento peninsula, Capri, Pompei etc. - in itself St. Agnello is a dull place, but to my purpose quiet and appealing. The outlook from the room is rather uninteresting, but I don't mind that, since I primary use the room for sleeping - and is not interested I beach or bathing activities, which is not very interesting in either Sorrento nor St. Agnello.

Lovely staff, especially the owner. On arrival he lent us a guidebook in English, gave us a map and showed us where the best restaurants and beaches were. Also had a train time table and plenty of advice on local tourist spots. We have never had so much attention paid to us by hotel staff before, we looked at each other in amazement as he drew on the map. Location lovely, room was nice with balcony over an orange grove. S'angnello is close (25 min walk or short bus/train ride away) to Sorrento which is great but full of tourists at high season and very busy so was great to be in a quieter area where the restaurants are cheaper and the area less crowded. We recommend 'Peppino' as a very affordable but good quality restaurant (5 mins walk just past the train station), the pizzeria across the raod from the hotel was great with very friendly staff and also 'Donna Rose' around the corner from the hotel for drinks and lunch. The owners of this cafe are so friendly, it made our holiday. In short -stay here! We will definitely be back.

The hotel staff were exceptional. The hotel facilities were simple but comfortable. Overall exceptional value for money. It is slightly too far from the centre of Sorrento to walk there comfortably on a regular basis (however, there are local bus and train services).

The room had a beautiful view of an orange garden , was spacious and clean with a big comfortable bed and a small bed for a child. The breakfast had fresh products : milk, cereals, pastries, a large selection of fruits, tea and coffee. Also, I would like to appreciate Paolo from the reception who helped us with a lot of guidance for every place in the area that we wanted to see. It was a good value for money and we enjoyed very much our stay. Maybe the breakfast could be improved to be more consistent, but it was good enough to refresh you in the morning.

The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good and I must say the best in Italy that I've seen so far. The location is good, near the train station and is not affected by the horrible traffic of Sorrento. A little bit far from Sorrento (25 mins by foot), but there are buses and trains that can help you with that.

The hotel was in a busy area, but was a little removed and pretty quiet. The accommodations were very simple, but clean. Our hotel window opened onto orange trees. The breakfast was very good. We didn't even have to ask for help--we were almost immediately supplied with a map of the area and information about how to get tickets and transportation. There was a lovely veranda where we could sit in the evening or in the morning for breakfast.

Simple, small family run hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, room basic but spotless. No complaints. Very small thing, if you're travelling with a 'Western Europe' adaptor, it may be a struggle to plug anything in as the plugs are all the older Italian style, which are slightly narrower than the newer ones - you might have to push pretty hard to get it to fit! Breakfast was fine, good coffee! Not really a negative, but it's not really in Sorrento, it's in the next town - which is about a 20-30 minute walk, but it's a nice little town in its own right, and it's very close to both the train station and a bus stop.

Paolo & Antonio most helpful going out of the way to retrieve our camera left in a taxi. Simple, clean, backpacker style rooms quite adequate for our 3 night stay. There is a bar in the breakfast area where you can obtain, drinks, tea & coffee. Also seating on an outdoor terrace & parking for those that require it. The hotel is in a little narrow backstreet about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento. Paolo suggested good cheap places to eat close by. La Taverna Rossa our favourite. St Agnello train station a 10 min walk to catch train to Naples, Pompei, Sorrento. Buy tickets in advance for early trains the day before at travel agent on corner of main road near station. A nice walk to Sorrento via the low road along the coast.

The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. They gave excellent advice about local places of interest, places to eat, etc, using public transport to visit places, weather forecasts and much more. THey even lent us guide books to various places. The setting is lovely, with the hotel between orange groves and a roof top area for relaxation which also provides a good view of Vesuvius. Although only 5 minutes walk from the train station and main road it was quiet and peaceful. The food at breakfast was plentiful and varied including fresh fruit, croissants,. They even provided us with a packed breakfast for our final morning because of a 5am departure.

It was quiet and in the location I needed. The breakfast was nice often but not always with fresh strawberries and some days fresh orange juice. The guys on the evening desk were friendly and helpful though I don't think they completely believed me when I said I knew S. Agnello very well and therefore didn't need the normal guidance they would give to a foreigner. ( I had lived there previously for 4 months). It was extremely helpful to have use of the computer in the hall. Simple hotel in quiet street and excellent good value for money. The reception desk was not covered for at least 15 minutes on the morning when I was leaving. I found the guy on duty most day times( I think he was called Tonino) rather unfriendly.
