The Hotel Desiree has accommodations on the cliffs above Sorrento, and is less than just over 1 mile from the center of town. It features stunning views of the Gulf of Naples.
Score from 487 reviews Good
Make yourself at home at Maison La Minervetta. Its cliff-top setting in Sorrento means that you have breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.
Score from 239 reviews Exceptional
Back to Sorrento offers accommodation in a historic 17th century palazzo in Sant'Agnello, 2.5 km from Sorrento and a 17-minute drive from Vico Equense. It features free WiFi.

Located in Sorrento in a restored colonial family home, Il Roseto is a small property with spacious double bedrooms and elegant junior suites.
Score from 258 reviews Excellent
A real bargain with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They offered advice on where to go, and how to get there. Good access to the train network and so to Sorrento and Pompeii etc. Would definitely recommend.
- friendliness of staff - general hotel layout almost like a home
- Internet was not very good in the room
- very helpful, courteous, and kind staff - nice breakfast - quiet location
Friendly staff, good breakfast, reasonable price, quiet location outside of the tourist-frantic Sorrento
We walked back and forth from Hotel to Sorrento many times, which was OK for us (we came to the Amalfi coast area to be out and about and active), but this may to be far away from the majority of restaurants and shopping for some people. Bus and train are close and make for easier connections to Sorrento proper, so not a big problem.
Great location and very friendly staff.
WiFi only available in the lobby.
Staff where somewhat helpful for tourist hints. Breakfast was good, nice selection and good coffee.
Beds like trampolines old loud spring every movement you make. The worlds loudest flushing toilets!! You know the bathroom movements of all the guest around you. Not in sorrento but in nearby suburbs.
Friendliness and relaxed atmosphere
The friendliness of the staff, quality breakfast and charming place are so good. Conveniently located to sorrento close proximity by train or walk. Really enjoyed my stay there. Antonio was very helpful of what to do and how to get there.
Nothing much. Just shower cubicle are small and wifi not so great
Paulo arranged a driver to pick us up at the Naples airport, met us at the door of Angelina, gave us the spacious, clean, quiet Sweet Angelina room with small balcony. He showed us where to get train tickets, eat, drink, get the bus. Breakfast is outstanding. We liked it so much we went back while in Italy.
Every day either Antonio or Paolo would check with us where we intended to go and provide us with directions tips for saving money and what we should not miss seeing. There recommendations for local restaurants were also awsome
The service was impeccable! They certainly know how to go the extra mile. The room was nice and clean. Area was quiet and safe. Breakfast was good with a nice cappuccino to start of the day. Great value for your money. I can for sure recommend Hotel Angelina.
The shower was quite small, but considering the price I have no complaints!
If you are tired of the tourist hordes in over-priced Sorrento, this is the place to stay. Located in the quiet and narrow historic streets of Sant Agnello, just one stop away from Sorrento on the Circumvesuviana railway line, or alternatively a pleasant 20 minute walk, this is a perfect place for a comfortable stay and a good night's sleep. The young staff are wonderfully efficient, friendly and welcoming. There is an excellent restaurant nearby called "Moonlight".
Everything was just fine... nothing negative to report
All the staff were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, plenty of variety. Although room and bathroom was small, we didn't spent any time there other than to sleep, so not a big concern. Easy walk to the train. Would go back back without hesitation.
The staf was extremely helpful with places to eat, sightseeing, and the bus/trains. The gentleman serving breakfast was wonderful and very good at his job...
Staff were amazingly friendly and super helpful, room was very clean and serviced every day, location was very handy to everything we needed
Loved this hotel for the price, location, and staff. It is clean, quiet and outside Sorrento so you don't have to deal with the many tourists in that area. Paolo was extremely helpful in planning all our days so take his advice on everything. If you are looking for a luxurious, expensive hotel with your own balcony overlooking the sea, 25 min. walk from Sorrento, stay at the Hotel Corallo for 250 euros per night. If you want a clean, perfectly located hotel with a great, helpful staff, stay here. Also eat at the Moonlight Restaurant - Paolo's suggestion!
Recommendations were helpful. Breakfast was great
Nothing about the hotel. Transportation around the area was tedious. Also crowded.
The hotel is really nice an quiet. Set down the back streets close to the train station. The walk to the main square is breath taking. The staff are very friendly an helpfull. I would recommend this hotel
Staff were absolutely fantastic. Greeted on arrival, clean and comfortable rooms, relaxing terrace and great location. The breakfast was simple but tasty. It offers much more than we expected for the price we paid. Only 20 minutes walk or 2 minutes on train to Sorrento centre.
You cannot criticise anything about this hotel. It offers everything it promises and more. A great base for Sorrento, St Agnello and the rest of the area.
It is a charming hotel in a lovely quiet area which was a godsend after the noise and crowds in Sorrento. Lovely patio where we had drinks in the evening. Paulo and Antonio were fantastic with their maps and suggestions of what to see. Breakfast was very good with the best cappuccinos of the trip. The one hour bus trip along the Amalfi Coast was stunning!! A highlight that should not be missed!! A restaurant only a block away called Moonlight was excellent! Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Close to the train and bus and a short walk get a beautiful view of the coast and gorgeous sunsets. We really appreciated everything and would highly recommend Hotel Angelina.
Paulo and the rest of the staff were so very welcoming and friendly. He in particular showed us so many places to go and ways to get to them -- bus, train, walking . . .we felt like family. Our breakfasts were wonderful and quick, so we were able to keep up with our hectic schedule (our son's wedding).
Such a small thing: the bars of soap could be a bit larger so they could be held in your hand when showering. Okay for one night, but not for a week's stay.
Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was great. It was nice to have fresh fruit and yoghurt for a change. A nice neighbourhood. Safe and easy to walk around.
Excellent staff. They gave us a lot of recommendations & maps on what to visit. Good breakfast for a 2* hotel
Closest location to city center and harbour, breakfast is so good and Hotel has polite employees.
Very friendly & helpful staff (the owner and son), good breakfast, room very clean and feel like home. 5-10min walking distance to the train station. Restaurants recommended by Paolo the owner served very good food with reasonable price. Feel safe when walking at night.
