Hotel Aurora is built into Spoleto's ancient Roman walls, in an ex-Franciscan monastery from the 12th century. You can admire 16th-century frescoes in the hotel lobby as well as sections of the walls. The Aurora Hotel is in Piazza della Libertà, near the Roman theatre and 5 minutes' walk from Spoleto Cathedral. A partner car park is located nearby. Rooms are air conditioned and feature an LCD TV, minibar and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. A continental breakfast is served each morning. The hotel was in a good central location, not far from the terminus for the shuttle buses from the station, and close to the centre of Spoleto. The room was a good size and in a quiet position. There was no lift and we had difficulty carrying our suitcases up the narrow stairs. The breakfast was ok but the breakfast room was too small for the number of guests. We felt a bit awkward about asking for a top up of coffee. One of the staff was very helpful and spoke good English, but another person did not seem so welcoming and her grasp of English was poor (I tried my Italian but my lack of vocabulary proved a stumbling block)

We had a pleasant stay of a week, while visiting Spoleto and other towns in Umbria. The hotel is in a good location in the centro storico, the staff are helpful and efficient, and the hotel ristorante was excellent.

i thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel. Great location, great breakfast and great value for money. Spoleto itself is a little treasure and is ideal for those wanting some peace and quite from the hustle bustle.

The location in Piazza Liberta could not be better. It is close to many interesting sights and many restaurants. Also the local bus system is easy to get around as well.

Ideal location for exploring Spoleto and surroundings. Excellent value for money. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was typical of most Italian accommodation - basic, uninspired and not always the freshest.

Location is OK. Parking facilities nearby and parking ticket provided by hotel at 3 Euro per day. The room on top floor was very hot, airco didn't function (not even on the times mentioned as operational), bathroom was small and uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor and poor coffee (in Italy!). The town is under construction. Everywhere there are scaffoldings and construction equipment. In approx. 3 years time the city will be perfectly in order, like e.g. Assisi and Perugia. Maybe then also the nice shops will come back.

Ottima la posizione per la visita della città. Personale gentile e struttura piacevole. Buona la pulizia della camera.Parcheggio auto coperto convenzionato a prezzo favorevole. Colazione nel complesso adeguata. Assenza dell'ascensore. Camera piccola e bagno miniscolo e maleodorante.
