Hotel Apollo is located in Via Dei Serpenti, the most characteristic of Rome's Monti district. The Coliseum is a 5-minute walk away, and nearby Cavour Metro Station is 1 stop from Termini. The spacious rooms are equipped with an LCD TV with satellite channels and air conditioning. The style is functional, with wooden furniture and soft carpeted floors. Buffet breakfast at Apollo Hotel includes fresh fruit, croissants, cheese, yogurt, and cold meats. It is served on the roof garden overlooking the city. Hotel Rooms: 24

We made a reservation on this hotel based on the reviews we saw and we were soo happy to find out that they were all true. We did not stayed in the hotel itself but in a 3 bedroom apartment. We loved it! It was clean, centrally located, full of places to eat (within a very short distance) and just what we needed. When visiting Rome again for sure we will stay in this hotel.

The staff was friendly and happy to help with advice and information. The room was gorgeous and I could look out our window and see the Colisseum. Within easy walking distance of the Tiber, the Forum, Santa Maria Maggiore, and most everything we wanted to see. They had a wonderful breakfast every morning at the roof-top, outdoor dining area. At night the room was quiet and comfortably cool in August. I would definitely book here for my next trip to Rome. I really can't imagine what more I would want from a room, especially at this price. I whole- heartedly recommend this hotel.

I personally stayed at the apartment section of the Hotel. It was very close to Termini and to the Colosseum/Forum area. Very easy to get to /find. Perfect for a large family, especially one that will not stay out too late - a little creepy walking back to the apartments at 3 am. Clean, modern, awesome, cheap!

We stayed in the 3 room apartment(not located at the hotel) The location of the apartment (5 min walk from the Colosseum and 20 meters from the Cavour metro stop) was perfect. The room is newly refurbished and was extremely clean. This was a great place w/ easy access to the majority of tourist attractions in Rome and I would defiantly stay here if ever back in Rome. My only two complaints were: the directions we were given to get from the hotel to the apartment could have been better and the water pressure in the shower was non-existent. Those two things were far outweighed by the positives.

The accommodations were great for us, we have 3 small children age 4, 2 1/2, and 10 months, and we stayed in the family apartment. It is adjacent to the main hotel, just one doorway over. There are stairs up to an elevator, but the elevator will take you up to the 4th floor where our apartment was located. The living room had two fold out twin beds, a large dining table, and kitchenette. The bedroom had a large queen/king size bed and the bathroom was large with a walk-in shower, two sinks, toilet, & bidet. Everything was well cared for and clean. There is a nice, enclosed terrace with a table and chairs, and it's safe for kids. The hotel seems to be family owned & operated, and they are so friendly & seem to enjoy having the kids for a visit. We would choose this hotel again when we are next in Rome. Location was very central as well. We had no issue getting around the city.

This hotel is just a few blocks away from The Coliseum, two blocks from Via Nazionale, across from the National Bank, some blocks away from Via Veneto, ........... Location is fantastic! The hotel owner is a nice gentleman who does his best to make you feel comfortable. He is so polite that he books your tours and taxis. Building adjacent to the hotel has an elevator but to go there, you first must go upstairs; and once on the third floor, you must go downstairs. If they make you stay here you must open the main door by yourself; and if breakfast is included, you must go out from building to building (Via del Serpienti) first. That's pretty uncomfortable! So you'd better stay in the main building. Except for the owner the staff is not so friendly and welcoming.

Its right near the colosseum which is great and there are some nice restaurants and cafe's near by. The room was a good size and we were comfortable. The breakfast gets old quick, I would have liked some more variety and if you get there later in the open time frame to eat there is almost no food left and the hotel does not bring out more.. Very noisy, you can hear everything that occurs on the street.

It is very close to the Colosseum and walking distance to many other sites. We stayed at an apartment that was located in front of the metro station and their many cafes, a supermarket and an internet shop nearby. The owner was very helpful and the apartment is very new and silent. It has a nice elevator. In the apartment we stayed, sometimes when you plugged something or turned on a light the energy would go off, but that wasn't too much of a problem because the energy box was very easy to find in the dark. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. The showers water temperature would change during the shower. They haven't yet been able to put internet in the apartments.

We stayed at one of the apartments they have near the hotel. It is quite new and has most things you need, including a bathroom and a toilet. It is comfortable and well located, just in front of a metro station (Cavour) very close to the Coloseum and just a 15-20 minute-walk away from Termini. The only missing thing was an internet connection. Also you have to wait till 2 pm to get to the room.

The location was excellent ! Close to the colosseum, forum and to the metro station Cavour. Even Trevi was walkable as was Santa Maria Magiore. The breakfast was lovely - hot crossiants, coffee, cold meats, juice all served on the rooftop. The rooms were clean and the bathroom had new fittings and fixtures. On the whole this was a great find ! The bathroom was a bit too small especially the shower box and the towels were very thin. There were mosquitos in the room but they didnt have any mosquito repellants like Good night/All out. The hotel should have them just like the others in Florence/venice where we stayed. It would be good if there was tea/coffee in the room. But these were no major problems so I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

The hotel is centrally located and is very fairly priced. It is in a quiet neighborhood with several nice restaurants in the immediate area. Breakfast is served in a garden area on the roof and is very complete. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and a tv with largely Italian channels (go figure). Would definitely stay there again. Nothing to complain about - a nice hotel in the heart of Rome.
