Small hotel with very helpful staff. Good variety of breakfast options. Met our request for double bed and quiet room. Good location close to boat stops.
This is a lovely, small butique hotel where we've spent 2 nights. Our room was stylish and clean, the breakfast was rich and tasteful, the coffee amazing, but the best of all: the staff - extremely nice, helphul and devoted for the guests.
Could not tell any.
Amazing breakfast choice and happy hour free buffet. Tea and coffee making facilities, robe and slippers.
From the moment we stepped off the street we knew this hotel was the perfect choice. Friendly attentive staff, beautiful decoration. We were offered coffee on entrance and upgraded to the junior suite which was a great suprise. The breakfast was incredible with so much choice and the staff excellent at helping plans days out or booking evening meals. Would definitely return.
Hotel Arcadia was the perfect location.. not right in the centre but perfect as it is only a 5min walk from the train station! I saw many a traveller lugging their suitcases for miles up over bridges & hundreds of steps trying to find their hotel closer to the centre. It was so beautiful walking the extra 20min through all the adorable lane ways & over all the fairy tale bridges to get to the Grand Canal & St Marc's.. It would be such a shame to miss exploring all the other little vibrant streets along the way! The staff at Arcadia were absolutely beautiful! The most welcoming, *genuinly* friendly and polite staff anywhere! My room was gorgeous.. the shower was superb! Very clean.. organic toiletries! Cosy bathrobe, towel warmer, kettle with herbal tea!! And the wifi was excellent every minute of the day or night!!! The breakfast room was beautiful! I could have just sat there all day looking out the window and I would have been happy! Thank you to everyone at Arcadia for making my stay so memorable! I will definitely be back if I come back to Venice.. fingers crossed!
Beautiful lounge and excellent double bed room overlooking the local shops. Easy access to train station and water taxis.
Rude concierge. Demeaning and judgmental. Service and attitude make up the majority of your overall travel experience and this was lacking.
Lovely room, tastefully decorated and well thought out. Great bathroom, nice tea and coffee making facilities. Quiet classic double room at the back of the hotel. Good quality linen, clean, and lovely toiletries. Great breakfast! With free prosecco.
The only negative point we have is that we booked a double room and it turned out to be two twin beds pushed together with a sheet over the top so you could feel the gap in the bed. Really disappointing when you have planned a romantic getaway! Also we told the hotel it was my partners birthday and there was no special effort made to say happy birthday or anything.
Location and close proximity to everything.
Breakfast finished too early
great location easy to reach from bus station or train very central , clean and comftable very high standerd fitting over all is great hotel with lovely staff especially the managar thanks for great service
Staff were so friendly and helpful and recommended a restaurant which was great. Great variety at breakast and the waitress was so nice. Location was very good. It's a bustling neighbourhood but really quiet at night. Hotel décor and ambience was great. Free wi fi worked really well. Would definitely stay there again.
Close to train station St. Lucia Staff verypolite Breakfast good
Very welcoming and helpful staff Very comfortable and warm Excellent breakfast especially by Italian standards - in fact by any standards
Receptionist was extremely helpful. Beautiful room for reasonable price. Will definitely come again!!!!
The staff were so friendly and helpful, they advised us of how to get around and where to go. Breakfast was lovely and the waitress so polite and remembered what we drank. Location was amazing and the hotel décor and ambience were lovely. would definitely visit stay there again and have already recommended this hotel to 4 other couples who are going to Venice this year.
Bed was comfy, wifi was good, lady at the front desk was the nicest Italian to us by far.
Location was a bit far if you have luggage and the street is crowded, but still within walking distance tho, however, the alley next to the hotel can be noisy at night. Beware there is no elevator in the hotel, but I guess it's the regulation of council.
The hotel Arcadia is in the most wonderful position in Canareggio, it's a bustling neighbourhood full of venetians and tourists. Good value bars and cafes, fantastic fruit and veg market in the main street. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and always present.
The room we had was bare and stark, we would have loved a couple of chairs and a table to sit and chat at. The bedrooms don't have great noise insulation, luckily it isn't a party hotel, tends to be couples who stay there so there isn't a great deal of noise, but just having a conversation in the evening can be heard by other residents.
This small but exquisite hotel is located within walking distance of the main railway station. There is only one bridge to cross which has a ramp at the side so suitcases do not have to be pulled or lifted up stairs. It is elegantly appointed with a spacious lounge area and the best selection and quality of food we have ever encountered in a small hotel. Staff are extremely professional, providing all the information you need to make your stay in Venice special. When stays appear to be seamless in their approach, it belies the hard work that makes this possible. Salute, Arcadia. You are one of the sparkling gems within the jewelled city of Venice.
Fabulous hotel all round. Delightful rooms, unrivalled cleanliness and comfortable beds. Prosecco, brilliant coffee and tastes eats for breakfast. The location is close enough to the sites and station and far enough not to be ripped off for dinner and drinks. Cost? Well this is a great in between hotel, perhaps more than budget spenders would like to pay but less than the over priced hotels in Venice.
Our room was by the restaurant which wasn't nosiey, the only thing I heard was the restaurant toilet door opening and closing... First world problems!
The atmosphere of the hotel was lovely
Nothing at all
The facilities at this hotel are completely new and gorgeous. The bed was outrageously comfortable. It is a bit modern in style, so if you want to come to Venice for a more kitschy old-style hotel, then go somewhere else. But the comfort level is great!
A bit far from the main tourist sites, which can be a very good thing but does involve either taking the public water bus (7 euro one way) or walking a lot, neither of which I minded. But some might prefer to be more centrally located if pressed for time. The location is very convenient, however, to catch the trains leaving Venice and also to catch the alilaguna water bus to the airport (15 euro).
The location is ideal, so close to the water bus stop and the train and bus stations!
The hotel had an unusual smell upon arrival, other than that it was ideal. Hard to pick a fault.
The mid-age gentleman at the reception desk during night time is such a nice person, not only welcoming us in a nice way, but also showed us where to eat and how to get to places of interest, very patiently.
Very Friendly, polite, helpful staff. Very Clean, Very New, very very nice breakfast! Just THE BEST!
