The location is ideal, so close to the water bus stop and the train and bus stations!
The hotel had an unusual smell upon arrival, other than that it was ideal. Hard to pick a fault.
The mid-age gentleman at the reception desk during night time is such a nice person, not only welcoming us in a nice way, but also showed us where to eat and how to get to places of interest, very patiently.
Very Friendly, polite, helpful staff. Very Clean, Very New, very very nice breakfast! Just THE BEST!
Friendly, helpful staff, afternoon happy hour, staff provided a buffet table with the left overs from breakfast, including cakes.
We had a road room which was quite noisy, particularly with the early morning traders setting up their stalls.
The quality of the decor was good (although a bit quirky), quiet, comfortable room, great breakfast, helpful and pleasant staff. Hotel is near two vaporetto stops for different lines, not too far to drag cases if coming from the airport.
Couldn't find anyone for a while when we arrived, no bell to attract attention that we could see. Street outside has market stalls and is the main pedestrian route from the station into the heart of Venice, so is busy from early morning until late at night - ask for a room at the back.
Great little hotel in the less touristy part of Venice. Easy access to the train station, as well as shops and the main attractions. By far the best hotel buffet breakfast I have ever had...would have stayed longer just for that. Staff were polite and very attentive. The decor is wonderfully theatrical without being over done. Would definitely stay again.
Location convenient and very quiet but windows can open onto busy thoroughfare (via) . Lovely!
Lovely room & lovely staff
Staff ++++++ Breakfast Location
With its quiet, beautifully furnished rooms with tasteful, contemporary decor, this hotel is a little gem! I had not slept so well in years. The hotel is located in the Cannareggio district of Venice. The vaporetto number 1 will take you from there to Rialto in about half an hour. The service was superb, friendly, natural, and we got lots of useful recommendations from the receptionist. Breakfast was scrumptious, with made on order cafe latte - bliss. A bit in the pricey side but if you can travel off-season, you can get a better deal.
It is only a detail, but our shower room, which was small but well appointed had only one window. If you opened the window , it blocked the door!
Staff at the hotel are excellent from the moment we arrived- free drinks, nibbles, map of the area tour of hotel. Nothing is to much bother for the staff The hotel is immaculate beautifully decorated and maintained. Luxury feel- robes, slippers, free safe all provided Excellent choice at breakfeast- fruit salad, Danishes, cakes, hot food. Coffee is excellent. Loved the area, a bit of a walk to the main attractions like the Rialto and Saint marks but just a few minutes from the water buses Boat stop 1 min away to airport On a busy market street with lots of restaurants, bar and shops so perfect for the evenings Me and my fiancée were celebrating our engagement and even given free prosecco the staff at the hotel made our trip special- worth paying extra for, can't wait to return!
This place is easy to find. A lot of people get lost here. Luckily this hotel is easy to find from train station or water taxi from airport. Is a quick walk anywhere you need to see.
Warm welcome, we were able to get into our room earlier than expected. A small but well attractively presented room. At breakfast there was a good choice. All staff very attentive. Would happily return.
The lack of draw space in the bedroom
The cleannesing of this hotel
There is only one trash in the bathroom Usually two trash one in the toailt snd other in the room near the exit
Staff were very attentive and helpful
We were at the Hotel Arcadia only briefly, as we were off a cruise ship and away the next day. Also one of our party was quite ill and the appreciation of the fabulous facilities could not be fully utilised. But the staff were so helpful and the room was drop dead gorgeous. so Big Ups to the Hotel Arcadia
-Room was neat, clean and seemed newly renovated -reception + breakfast personell friendly and professional -relatively fast wifi connection (included in the price) - air conditioning
- High price relative to elsewhere in Europe or us, but good price- quality ratio in comparison to other alternatives in Venice - as for ALL hotels in Venice, it is expensive OR stressful to reach hotels from the airport. Either you take the taxi an pay around 120€ for 20min ride OR you take the waterbus, pay 15€ and spend XXmin waiting for an overcrowded boat + 45min stuffed on the boat. -the hotel is 30-40min walk away from the big attractions.
Room: very comfortable bed! Well decorated, clean. As as a heritage building it cannot be changed. Location: very convenient and about 50 m from the train station Breakfast : included and delicious! Staff: with mentioning Nicola, Hilaria and Luigi!! All friendly and helpful! Recommended !!
The fact the room was too small and did not have cupboard; but understandable as the hotel was a noble residence and is a heritage building that cannot have alterations done to the existing walls!!
Staff were so friendly & helpful, location is lovely, rooms are gorgeous! Breakfast was delicious & wifi was good. Would definitely return.
This is a great hotel in the best area of Venice, 10 mins from the cattle market crowds of Rialto etc but only a vaporetto ride away. Excellent transport connections. The staff were extremely helpful throughout and made our stay very pleasant.
No iron available in room or on site if you have crumpled clothes from your baggage!! Shame really.
A lovely hotel, excellent rooms, lovely breakfast and friendly informative staff
Everything - a most enthusiastic owner/manager who couldn't do enough for us. Perfect location only 10 minutes walk from the train station and close to a water bus stop - only a few minutes from the Grand Canal. Perfect position for getting to the airport and walking round the rest of Venice. Situated in a busy street with just a doorway off the street but once you get in there the hotel is quiet, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the staff are so polite and helpful. They stored a suitcase and precious Murano glass for us while we travelled around Italy. Breakfast was a feast in the most beautiful room - the decor was stunning. We will definitely stay here again should we return to Venice & would recommend it to everyone.
Close to S Lucia train station. Excellent breakfast. Bathrooms very clean. Staff very kind. Confortable room.
Room too small. Entrance too hidden (I passed 3 times in front of it to discover where to enter - it´s just a simple door, with "Arcadia" written in a 1m x 0.5m sign).
The hotel was stunning and newer thenost of the other hotels. The breakfast was extremely good, and the hotel was close to the train. This was a plus for us bc the water taxi's were shut down for the afternoon due to a race.
Nothing. The only thing you should know is the hotel is not walking distance to St.Marco's square, however it is very close to the water taxi. About a 25 min water taxi ride.
Staff was excellent. They were extremely helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was terrific! Great food, delicious coffee, and a lovely dining room. The location was good if you are looking to be away from the crowds and tourist attractions. Getting to and from the airport is quite easy because it's close to a water taxi station. I highly recommend a private water taxi vs the public one. It's expensive but totally worth it especially if you have a lot of bags.
The rooms were very small. There were no closets in the room and no place to put your stuff. The accommodations were nice but this is definitely a 3 star hotel vs a 4 star. And if you are looking to be close to the action, you should know that the walk to St Marks square is quite far. I would not recommend this hotel to families with kids. The rooms are all so close together that kids making noise in the hallway is an obvious annoyance and bother to the staff and other hotel guests which I can understand. It's more of a couples hotel.
