Staff were so friendly and helpful and recommended a restaurant which was great. Great variety at breakast and the waitress was so nice. Location was very good. It's a bustling neighbourhood but really quiet at night. Hotel décor and ambience was great. Free wi fi worked really well. Would definitely stay there again.
Close to train station St. Lucia Staff verypolite Breakfast good
Very welcoming and helpful staff Very comfortable and warm Excellent breakfast especially by Italian standards - in fact by any standards
Receptionist was extremely helpful. Beautiful room for reasonable price. Will definitely come again!!!!
The staff were so friendly and helpful, they advised us of how to get around and where to go. Breakfast was lovely and the waitress so polite and remembered what we drank. Location was amazing and the hotel décor and ambience were lovely. would definitely visit stay there again and have already recommended this hotel to 4 other couples who are going to Venice this year.
Bed was comfy, wifi was good, lady at the front desk was the nicest Italian to us by far.
Location was a bit far if you have luggage and the street is crowded, but still within walking distance tho, however, the alley next to the hotel can be noisy at night. Beware there is no elevator in the hotel, but I guess it's the regulation of council.
The hotel Arcadia is in the most wonderful position in Canareggio, it's a bustling neighbourhood full of venetians and tourists. Good value bars and cafes, fantastic fruit and veg market in the main street. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and always present.
The room we had was bare and stark, we would have loved a couple of chairs and a table to sit and chat at. The bedrooms don't have great noise insulation, luckily it isn't a party hotel, tends to be couples who stay there so there isn't a great deal of noise, but just having a conversation in the evening can be heard by other residents.
This small but exquisite hotel is located within walking distance of the main railway station. There is only one bridge to cross which has a ramp at the side so suitcases do not have to be pulled or lifted up stairs. It is elegantly appointed with a spacious lounge area and the best selection and quality of food we have ever encountered in a small hotel. Staff are extremely professional, providing all the information you need to make your stay in Venice special. When stays appear to be seamless in their approach, it belies the hard work that makes this possible. Salute, Arcadia. You are one of the sparkling gems within the jewelled city of Venice.
Fabulous hotel all round. Delightful rooms, unrivalled cleanliness and comfortable beds. Prosecco, brilliant coffee and tastes eats for breakfast. The location is close enough to the sites and station and far enough not to be ripped off for dinner and drinks. Cost? Well this is a great in between hotel, perhaps more than budget spenders would like to pay but less than the over priced hotels in Venice.
Our room was by the restaurant which wasn't nosiey, the only thing I heard was the restaurant toilet door opening and closing... First world problems!
The atmosphere of the hotel was lovely
Nothing at all
The facilities at this hotel are completely new and gorgeous. The bed was outrageously comfortable. It is a bit modern in style, so if you want to come to Venice for a more kitschy old-style hotel, then go somewhere else. But the comfort level is great!
A bit far from the main tourist sites, which can be a very good thing but does involve either taking the public water bus (7 euro one way) or walking a lot, neither of which I minded. But some might prefer to be more centrally located if pressed for time. The location is very convenient, however, to catch the trains leaving Venice and also to catch the alilaguna water bus to the airport (15 euro).
The location is ideal, so close to the water bus stop and the train and bus stations!
The hotel had an unusual smell upon arrival, other than that it was ideal. Hard to pick a fault.
The mid-age gentleman at the reception desk during night time is such a nice person, not only welcoming us in a nice way, but also showed us where to eat and how to get to places of interest, very patiently.
Very Friendly, polite, helpful staff. Very Clean, Very New, very very nice breakfast! Just THE BEST!
Friendly, helpful staff, afternoon happy hour, staff provided a buffet table with the left overs from breakfast, including cakes.
We had a road room which was quite noisy, particularly with the early morning traders setting up their stalls.
The quality of the decor was good (although a bit quirky), quiet, comfortable room, great breakfast, helpful and pleasant staff. Hotel is near two vaporetto stops for different lines, not too far to drag cases if coming from the airport.
Couldn't find anyone for a while when we arrived, no bell to attract attention that we could see. Street outside has market stalls and is the main pedestrian route from the station into the heart of Venice, so is busy from early morning until late at night - ask for a room at the back.
Great little hotel in the less touristy part of Venice. Easy access to the train station, as well as shops and the main attractions. By far the best hotel buffet breakfast I have ever had...would have stayed longer just for that. Staff were polite and very attentive. The decor is wonderfully theatrical without being over done. Would definitely stay again.
Location convenient and very quiet but windows can open onto busy thoroughfare (via) . Lovely!
Lovely room & lovely staff
Staff ++++++ Breakfast Location
With its quiet, beautifully furnished rooms with tasteful, contemporary decor, this hotel is a little gem! I had not slept so well in years. The hotel is located in the Cannareggio district of Venice. The vaporetto number 1 will take you from there to Rialto in about half an hour. The service was superb, friendly, natural, and we got lots of useful recommendations from the receptionist. Breakfast was scrumptious, with made on order cafe latte - bliss. A bit in the pricey side but if you can travel off-season, you can get a better deal.
It is only a detail, but our shower room, which was small but well appointed had only one window. If you opened the window , it blocked the door!
Staff at the hotel are excellent from the moment we arrived- free drinks, nibbles, map of the area tour of hotel. Nothing is to much bother for the staff The hotel is immaculate beautifully decorated and maintained. Luxury feel- robes, slippers, free safe all provided Excellent choice at breakfeast- fruit salad, Danishes, cakes, hot food. Coffee is excellent. Loved the area, a bit of a walk to the main attractions like the Rialto and Saint marks but just a few minutes from the water buses Boat stop 1 min away to airport On a busy market street with lots of restaurants, bar and shops so perfect for the evenings Me and my fiancée were celebrating our engagement and even given free prosecco the staff at the hotel made our trip special- worth paying extra for, can't wait to return!
This place is easy to find. A lot of people get lost here. Luckily this hotel is easy to find from train station or water taxi from airport. Is a quick walk anywhere you need to see.
Warm welcome, we were able to get into our room earlier than expected. A small but well attractively presented room. At breakfast there was a good choice. All staff very attentive. Would happily return.
