Score from 1029 reviews Good
Good location away from tourist center but near the shopping street leading to it. Also close to the station and the vaporetto stop to the islands. The room was small but very authentic with old furniture.
Horrible Wi-Fi connection
Good location when arriving by train, very flexible with storing the luggage
Breakfast could clearly benefit from fruits, cheese, sausage, adding a bit more to Italian biskuits and croissant Acoustics:
It was very clean and a fair value for the price. It was difficult to find initially, but once we found it it was actually in a good location.
We came back one night and had to knock to be let inside because we'd only been given one key and our party split up, it wasn't that late and one of the staff members was extremely rude! I would not stay here again because of this.
The room was not in the hotel but a 10 minute walk away. Wifi had been advertised, but it was not available in this building. It was suggested that we went to MacDonalds to use theirs
It is fairly close to the train station (5-10 minutes walk), the room was bigger and better than i expected, beautiful and comfortable! The staff also allowed me to check-in a few hours before the standard time, as the room was free.
No real complaints, the bathroom was a bit small, but no big deal. It is located in a very narrow street, you need to pay attention to the street name not to miss it, but it is one turn of the main commercial street, quiet easy to find for Venetian standards!
Location is very good
There was no wifi
The hotel was located only 800m from the train station. Money-wise it was one of the cheapest, considering its well situated location.
The breakfast was a little poor. There was no elevator.
Location was great -10 mins from the train station- but was difficult to find because the street name cannot be seen from the road.
Very noisy rooms No wifi in the rooms Breakfast was poor and coffee was cold
It's near the center
It wasn't clean, no tawels, and a dierty place.
It was a flat with 2 room, on the first floor. It was very clear, every day was cleaning, new towels, soap. There is in the center. There is an air conditioner, but its loud a bit. The beds are camp beds :( but with a really good mattress. First i am afraid of, but it was OK.
Our room was not in the Hotel Ariel Silva. Its more 10 minutes walking(4-5 bridges) in the night with our baby. :( Room is in the center, but not good for families, because too noisy area. There is not kitchen or fridge. :( Bath is commonly used with an another family, where were in the apartment too, because in the flat was 2 room for rent.
Location, Air conditioning(vital in summer)
Staff not very friendly, no tea/coffee making facilities, no balcony, king size bed was 2 singles put together which kept coming apart. When do not disturb sign on maid came in anyway and made us leave room in a thunderstorm.
Far from the station
Breakfast nothing good there
no wifi in the rooms (only in lounge) which contradicted to website "wifi available" also staff did not reply to my questions. Very unfriendly staff and bad customer service
No WiFi, no hotel-like amenities
Before flight to venice i booked room which are wi-fi available . But when i arrived hotel . There are some problems i had. For exemple 1.To different place Hotel desk and room is seperate . If we are going to the place we have to walk about 10minitues with our luggage 2. Wi fi signal is not connected in my room . But actually my booking room was wifi available. 3.I had booking with breakfast I already pay to hotel . But when i leave hotel they required to me breakfast pay. If i cant speak english . I would do pay them. So.. i dont like this hotel.. In my case.
This was a shockingly revolting hotel. Even one star is too great, let alone 2, as it says. Despite the central location, it was extremely noisy at night with people roaring outside drunk. The room was not soundproofed at all so we could hear what people were saying clearly upstairs from downstairs. There were also lots of mosquittos which made you impossible to fall asleep. The itchiness carried on for days throughout and after the holidays. The pictures were completely different from reality(specially the rooms) so do not believe that. There were no balcony, bathtub or kettle in the triple room unlike what it said here. The "Screen TV" was tiny. Rooms smelt of public toilets, and the bathroom was even worse. The room was just big enough to fit the beds in and zero space to move around so had to go over beds to get to the other side. There were some disgusting red splotches on the bed sheet. The breakfast was horrible. The "garden" where you eat is tiny and either you get the view of the wall or the sickeningly unhygienic kitchen. There was only one food to choose from, which was the hairy crossiants - more than half of them contained hair(we had 4 crossiants and 3 of them had hair). The staff were dreadful and do not believe the positive reviews here. The price is too expensive for that lame quality. Please do not book this hotel if you don't want your holiday in Venice to be a disaster!
Wifi was very poor in annex. Slow and poor in main building too. A/C needed resetting twice.
Very central localation, but not on the main road.
The hairdryer was broken, the staff did not bother repairing it. Our room smelled musty. Our room was on the street level and it was very noisy starting at 6am, while we had to wait for breakfast until 8am.
Location was great and staff helpful and friendly. Nice recommendation for dinner. Easy walk from train station; easy to find. Close to Vaporetti stop as well .
3rd bed was uncomfortable, strange odors but linens and room was clean.
Great location, big comfy room, shared bathroom but very clean, friendly staff.
Good breakfast. Spacious rooms Cleanliness Location.
Poor Wifi in the Room especially on Mobile phones. Common bathroom was used by other guests of the hotel, not just by the guests of the 2 rooms which were sharing it.
The hotel was conveniently located.
There was a terrible smell that came from the bathroom drains. The hotel staff were also not very friendly or helpful.
The location. location, location!
One microscopic sized soap bar was provided for the entire duration of 4 nights.
location is good.
