Friendly staff. Central location
The position and the staff is acceptable, otherwise the hotel is a horror story considering the price you pay!
This might be the worst hotel we've ever been, really old, room is really uncomfortable, ugly and old, terrible bathroom, bed like in a jail, tv didn't work, no wifi in the room although it says online that they have but you can access only in the loby. The breakfast is 3€ and you can choose between 3 items...It is very expensive and in return you don't get anything.
The bathroom, even though five rooms away was the best part of this hotel.
The staff only told us they couldn't speak English. 3 nights of teenagers running through the halls, police called one night up until 1:30. the next night could hear the noise from 2 blocks away. Was told we could call police--even though the phone and wireless and tv didn't work in our room.
the hotel is very noisy, slamming doors, very annoying. The room looks simple and ugly. The separate and private bathroom is not convenient.
location in centre of old Firenze Nice helpful staf
Narrow stairs, faulty fixtures
nice staff, very helpful
Is not very nice, especially the bathroom is very strange and uncomfortable.
Didn't like anything!!!! It was the most horrible hotel ever!!!
The magnificent view from our top floor room (room 310) of a domed church (there are only 2 top floor rooms, I think the other rooms have a view of an air shaft). The location was good, near everything.
Oh boy, where do I start? First, it is a heck of a climb to the top of the building and to get to the top rooms - 310 and 311 you need to go through a 'secret passageway' which includes an extremely steep and narrow (2 ft. wide at most) staircase. It is difficult with luggage and you had better not be overweight or you are not going to be able to physically fit through the passageway up the stairs. Whoever in the reviews of this place said that it is one step above a hostel is absolutely correct. The room needs a make-over - paint over the scuff marks on the walls and would it be too much to hang up a picture or something? Very spartan. The narrow bathroom was bizarre - the shower was in the middle of the room right in front of the sink (with curtain not cabin). After a shower the floor was wet all over. I hated the old shower head - it is the directly overhead type and didn't have good power. You have no choice but to wash your hair if you want a shower, and ladies don't always want to do this. If you wear contact lenses you must keep your eyes closed so they won't wash out or take them out ahead of time. Another complaint about the hotel is about the sockets and the TV. Our TV was not working so a nice young man came up and fixed it for us. However, we then found out that the hotel does not have the 2 prong sockets, but the 3 prong ones (maybe they are an older type?). So we pulled the 3 prong adaptor off the TV to use for my hairdryer. When we put the adaptor back on the TV and went to use the TV, it once again would not work. I don't know what happened, but we just didn't use the TV for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was blah. Coffee and toast. And only 1 toast machine for a roomful of guests. My last complaint is the most important and concerns the bed and the hotel's reaction to our problem. The bed was absolutely awful.
Location Price Availability
No elevator for 4 floors Narrow stairs Faulty fixtures
Near enough everything else. Rooms were tatty, noisy, smelly, bathroom tiny. No wifi in rooms, breakfast extra and naff.
Very confortable bed and excellent location.
The most bizarre shower I've ever seen!
The location was excellent, we never took a bus or taxi.
The room was average, shower was poor.
Is close of the museums.
The staff is not good and I realized that they are, sometimes, rude.
The location is good, near the center and the river, not so far away from the train station and the staff helpful and pleasant.
The bathroom was tiny and sheets didn't give me the feeling of freshness and cleanliness.
Large room, free wi-fi, reasonable price. Santa Croce and other historical places are within walking distance.
Due to closeness to city center, there was much noise from the people an traffic in the street, even night time. Very small bathroom.
The hotel is in a good location and walking distance to all main attractions. It is in an interesting old building with views over Florence from the top levels. Wifi was able to connect on the second level so we could use it in the room.
Our room had an external bathroom which flooded because the shower door was absolutely hopeless. From our room you can see right across into somebody else's bathroom! Room could do with a makeover. The locks on the doors are a bit strange, not really that secure. The tv did not work in the room. The woman who checked us in was brusque but nice enough. No air conditioning and room can get quite hot in the summer. At least there was a ceiling fan.
The Staff change my first room since it was in the top floor and I had huge luggage and the building dont have elevator. The breakfast for 3 euro is fine. The location is absolutely amazing, everything is close. If I come back would only be because of that.
The rooms and the bathrooms were not very clean. The hotel has very very uncomfortable stairs as if it wasn't uncomfortable enough that there is no elevator. The guy in the '24 hour' reception goes to sleep and if you need him you have to go and wake him up... Try to avoid if you are not a backpacker.
very clean, nice helpful staff, wi-fi, great central location, close to Dome.
I didn't like the beds, they are a little bit unstable. Also the windows lead to a large airshaft (or a small courtyard) and it gets quite noisy, especially when someone has the need to shout early in the morning.
Good service and friendly staff. Rooms are big and clean.
Our triple room with bathroom was everything that we needed, spacious and clean. Ladies of the staff were always smiling, pleasent and easy to understand. The location is really great, close to all places of interest (Uffizi, Academia, Bargelo, ...) and close to the supermarket as well.
Bathroom a long way from room...
The location was great, in a hipster part of the city with good places to eat and some small shops with cold drinks in the area. Train station as well as the main sights were close. There was a fan in the room which helped a lot.
The bathroom was obscure. It was just a shower on the wall with now bottom so when used everything around was wet and the floor stayed wet for a long time.
room conditions and rates
Staff attention from the 2 Ladys at reception, always happy to help and to inform anything we asked them.
Terrible attitude of a man from Bangladesh - He looked like hate to work with people. I think he is working on the wrong place. He destroyed what the other do with care and hapiness.
