Right next to the Vatican City and a 10-minute walk from Saint Peter's Square, Starhotels Michelangelo Rome has rooms with classic decoration and air conditioning.

Offering panoramic views of Saint Peter's Square from its rooftop terrace, Residenza Paolo VI is actually a former monastery, and is the only hotel right on Piazza San Pietro.

The Twentyone is a modern boutique hotel on Via Cola di Rienzo, one of Rome's best shopping streets. Castel Sant'Angelo and the historic center are just a pleasant 10-minute walk away.
Score from 1553 reviews Very good
The location was excellent and the room eventually was excellent with an amazing view, but, when we checked in we were given a triple room with two single beds pushed together with no view even though I had mailed well before arriving asking for a nice room with a view, as this weekend away was for my girlfriends birthday. When we asked for a room with a double bed we were told that the hotel had NO double beds and only singles pushed together. On the second day we asked again and magically they now had doubles!!
The breakfast was not great, hot selection was terrible. No free pick up from Caimpino airport even though it is closer than the main airport. No iron in the room, no English channels on the TV and generally not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel charging the price they charge.
Great view from the restaurant and from the rooftop. Breakfast was good by Italian standards. Wifi was good. Our room was relatively quiet (impressive for central Rome).
The mattress was pretty cheap and there was a lack of extra pillow.
Very small rooms, very hot and uncomfortable. Also thin walls you can hear next room speaking
Cleanliness was poor. No proper wardrobes for clothes . No place to hang clothes in the bathroom. Some staffers were courtious .. while the remaining looked like they were forced into their job. No ironing facilities in room. No station in the room to make tea/coffee.
I liked the environment, the hospitality of the staff, the facility at the hotel. I am satisfied with your services.
Breakfast staff were great
Not sure we're they got there 4 stars
The hotel has an excellent location, close to Vatican and St. Peter's Square as well as to St. Angel's Castle and the river, arround 500m distance to both. During our 4-days stay we just walked to the most of our sightseeing points, E.G. Piazza del Poppolo, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Campo de' Fiori, Trastevere. We used the open sightseeing bus to get to the Colloseum. Nice breakfest buffet served in the restaurant on the 6th floor with the view over St. Peters' Church. Fantastic panorama view from the café&bar facility located at the roof of the hotel. Wifi available in the rooms. Free transfer from the airport (we didn't have to wait long to be picked-up) and paid transfer service to the airport with a reasonable price of 45 eur.
The room we stayed in had not the newest interior and the carpets were a bit dirty.
No Tea/ Coffee in Bedroom
Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this hotel and obviously it's location.
Original room had 'tired' decor despite a view most people long for.
Proximity to the Vatican City and restaurants. Safe location. Very helpful staff in providing taxi information and arranging for airport pick up & drop off
bed was too small
Roof top terrace was excellent. A little dark. Location great. Very nice bellmen! Nice breakfast.
Rooms/baths small dated. Lobby/lounge area not very comfortable. Hallways tiny.Wish we could have taken our own wines to the terrace and paid a corkage fee.
Just returned from a 2night stay very nice hotel lovely views from roof garden to Vatican and castle St Angelo staff were very nice as was breakfast lots of nice restaurant's only a short walk from hotel would return in future .....
The hotels mini bus transport don't pick up from ciampino airport b good if they did apart from that nice hotel........
View from the rooftop terrace makes this hotel a must stop! Beautiful 360 view in a wonderful garden setting.
Breakfast was until 10:30 but when we arrived at 10:15, they were already mostly broken down and had to rush to get a cup of coffee.
The location, very close to the Vatican. The kindness of the staff and the breakfast.
The single room was very small.
Everything was walking distance apart from Colosseum. Especially with two small children it was great.... Overall Atlanta Garden was great with good rooms and facilities... Would stay there again...
I actually booked for the Atlanta Star and was placed in Atlanta Garden. Went to have dinner at the Atlanta Star Hotel with my children and was told to leave as there was a wedding however there where people from the hotel having dinner there .....
comfortable bed, breakfast room, rooftop terrace....
no proper shower... that you could stand in under hands free
Very convenient for viewing the Vatican.
Air conditioner not the greatest
Good standard hotel, giving all that would be rquired
We liked the position near Vatican very convenient. Choice of room quality available and view from top garden and breakfast bar is spectacular.
Wifi only in lobby. Rooms at lower rates smallish. No kettle availability. Small lift.
The location was great, right by St. Peters which, at night, from the rooftop terrace was amazing! The Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peters are right on the doorstep just a few mins walk and the tour buses are just around the corner also. Breakfast was good, had a nice choice. Staff are polite. We would stay in the hotel again.
When we arrived, we were put in the Atlante Garden hotel for one night as a group which were there stayed on another night so wasn't happy about that considering it was a lower grade hotel. The drink prices in the hotel are pricey but worth it for the view and as we were there for only a few nights it was fine. The rooms are on the small side.
Location, attitude of the staff, view from top floor terrace
Rooms are way too small, old, dirty and not maintained facilities, noise (top floor restaurant hired to outside parties), you have to climb around 20 steps to get in to the hotel with your luggage
The convenience to St. Peter's was excellent. With the exception of the daytime front desk clerk, who was a little snooty, the staff was friendly and helpful. Our housekeeping gal was exceptionally friendly.
The restaurant was not open for dinner on any of the nights we were there because of private parties. Our room was one floor below and the music was disturbing. As a result, I would advise not to get a room on the 5th floor.
Location, room size, couteous staff
Same breakfast menu everyday..
