The hotel is excellently situated for the main galleries and sights of Florence The cleanliness of the room was not especially great, as noted by the grime under my travel slippers when I got home (they are white and I always keep them washed for trips away and never wear them out of the room). We were quite severely bitten by the 6 mosquito's who decided to inhabit our room, despite the fact we travelled in November, though I did not raise this as an issue with the hotel. The room was quite hot and the air conditioning did not work, which is why we opened the window, therefore potentially offering suffrage to the mossies. The waiting staff at breakfast were a little brusque and sadly rather cheerless which made all of the guests look a little intimidated. |

Wonderful hotel - clean, quiet, great location and elegant. Staff was very accommodating. Can't go wrong by staying here. Can't think of anything negative. |

Great location, easy to find, very good breakfast and helpful staff. Our room was hot but once we figured how to turn the heater off and opened the window it was bearable. |

The location was good, close to Uffizi and Ponte Vechio, with many restaurants in the vicinity. View of river from room. Public rooms were comfortable and well furnished. PC available at 3 euros for 30 mins (can be taken in shorter periods). Busy road runs alongside hotel and occasionally emergency vehicles used sirens even during the night. |

The staff was very friendly. Breakfast room was lovely. Location was superb. Five to twenty minutes from everything you would want to do in Florence. Would stay there again without question. Mattresses were very hard, and uncomfortable. If coffee could be available in lobby for those traveling early in the day, or simply choosing to get a simple cup of coffee to start the day. |

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great, we walked almost everywhere we wanted to go. The beds were very hard as well as the pillows. However, we found was pretty typical for Italy. The breakfast was very so so and we did not even know there was a rooftop terrace. That would have been nice to enjoy. |

Fabulous view! Try to get room 504!! 5 major landmarks seen from the terrace outside your door (which almost nobody uses). Ponte Vecchio & the Uffizzi are a few blocks away. Bus stop is close as are restaurants, wine bars, shopping. Very good breakfast. We loved it. It was perfect for our needs. |

Terribly disappointing. The rooms were tasteless and housekeeping did a mediocre job. The lack of decor in the guestroom and the bizarre set up of the shower. The shower curtain was inset and stuck to you while showering, water went everywhere because of the configuration of the showerhead against the back wall of the shower. |

Firstly the architecture of the Balestri is so Florentine. The foyer, entrance and ground floor are charming! The staff were warm and friendly and helpful. Top floor rooms are the best. Our room had a view of the Arno leading onto the rooftop garden. The ponte vecchio and uffizi and great restaurants are nearby. |

Good location with few minutes walk to main attractions. Great river view if your room is facing south. Hard to get a parking space but same to everywhere inside the city. |

Proximity to centre of Florence. Cleanliness.Quiet and relaxing. Nice to have had a bar/communal area to relax when returning. Younger people may find hotel a bit boring. |

Not only is this hotel excellently located right by the Ponte Vecchio, but it also has a panoramic roof terrace for a relaxing meal or drink whilst admiring the beautiful Florence skyline. |
The address says it all! Overlooking the beautiful church of Santa Maria Novella, Rosso23 is a modern hotel in an ancient building, set right in the heart of Florence. |
Set on the top floors of two Renaissance buildings, this elegant hotel features a panoramic rooftop garden with beautiful views over the historic centre of Florence. |
Hotel Pendini is located just around the corner from Florence's Duomo and faces onto a typical, lively square. It is set in a historic building. |
