Staff was helpful and pleasant

Our room was noisy due to its location facing the river with the street ,motorcycles and noisy people on the Saturday night, but was ok Sunday night

Delightful room, with a huge shared terrace; particularly appreciated as we were travelling with friends and made very good use of it. Fantastic rain-forest shower, marble bathroom, very luxurious. Also an extremely comfy bed. Staff were excellent and provided a pot of hot water each afternoon with no question and all speed. A great hotel

I thought everything was great - my husband was put out by having to pay for wi-fi internet, despite the fact that I explained to him that in Italy, hotels do not provide wi-fi as standard. Other than that, he also thought the hotel was excellent.

Location was very good and a/c worked well.

Condition of the room was poor. Curtains falling off the wall,bathroom shower plumbing not working and beds were hard as rocks. I also believe the marketing for the hotel while correct , was deceptive. Marketing gave the impression of a certain level of comfort and room location in the hotel. Which turned out to be incorrect. Breakfast was boring . The curtain and not working light bulbs were fixed. The plumbing was 1/2 fixed when we left.

Great hotel for the price!

The hotel is located in nearby Uffizi Muzeum and Michelangelo Plaza.

it is hard to park car and valet fee is pretty high and the room has bad smell.

A friend stayed at the Hotel Balestri last November, and I knew she enjoyed her stay there. I am so happy that I stayed there this year from 25 October to 7 November this year. I cannot praise the hotel enough for making my stay there memorable. I have wonderful memories of Florence from living there in the 1960s, and I intend to return as often as possible. I will always plan to stay at the Hotel Balestri. Harriet Little

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff Price - we were pleasantly surprised that buffet breakfast came with the room rate. A rarity in 3-star hotels in Europe. Hotel Design - nice feeling you are staying in a finely-maintained ancestral building. Location - so close to the really busy tourist area which makes it convenient to explore the city, and yet, it maintains that quiet and charm when you need to rest and be alone.

Exellent location, a room was with entrance to big terrasa with amaising view.

Once balcony door was open after cleaning, it could happend everything, everybody could come in....the stuff forgot to close it.

The location of Hotel Balestri is ideal for easy walking to many of the "must do" musuems, cathedrals, churches and gardens of Florence.

Our friends on the first floor were conscious of traffic noise.

After arriving during the 5pm traffic, they relieved us of our car so that we did not have to deal with it. Of course that service is very expensive, but all our plans to deal with the car cheaply went away with the traffic! Given that, our stay was otherwise just fine

Perhaps the carpets in the halls need more attention.

The day time staff were very firendly, the rooms were very large with good and silent air conditioning, and the breakfast was basic but good.

The location is as good as it gets. Seeing the Ponte Vecchio, hills and the river from the room window was beautiful. Brekfast was ok but I wouldn't have paid for it if it hadn't been included in the package. The staff working at the breakfast room was very friendly and welcoming.

The reception staff was one of the worse I've seen in ages. For someone who flyes 100+ times per year and lives in hotels, the performance and particularly the 2 male receptionists was poor.Not friendly, not welcoming, never a smile, never a question in regards how things are going. They were reluctant to give information and when they did they made us feel that all we were asking was obvious and non-sense, the usual answer was "take a taxi" for everything. We get it, you get commissions for taxis, but that's not the answer for everything. On top of this, we never got full attention from them, they were always talking on the phone or checking the computer screen while talking to us and rarely eye contact. It's a great hotel but I wouldn't go back just because of these two individuals.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, best room in the hotel and most extensive breakfast in a beautifully decorated room with period decor throughout. Very comfortable and clean, will definitely go back!!

Garage parking was expensive 35 EUR. per day. Parking places near the hotel were with a sign of evacuation. The description of the hotel didn"t contain this inform. There is a beautiful view of the river and good location.
