Hotel Balocco    

Well we simply Loved this hotel!!! To begin we had an excellent reception!!! The ladies were excellent professionals with a sympathy and kindness that made we feel great!!! I have to say: congratulations to the hotel for having so nice people that helps so much in our well- being!!! All the hotel was fantastic...sincerely our expectations were completly fulfilled...the location, the magificient views to Porto Cervo, the smell, the decoration...were wonderfull!!! We had an update in our room, and we stayed in the suite 108!!!! Honestly I have no words...i only can say superb!!!

I like very friendly staff, excellent hotel garden, good food in a hotel restaurant.

Second capuccino at the breakfast is not included in the breakfast price.

Great Hotel with great Layout and location. We real liked it there and would come back anytime. Next time booking a bigger room then it is perfect.

The room was a little small.

Everything... Our room was great, awesome view and the bathroom was marbleous (sorry), fantastic, especially the shower... The location was perfect with great views over Porto Cervo. What more could you want, breakfast on the restaurant terrace over looking the bay WOW... I could go on and on but I think you get the point we really liked the Balocco and we are looking to go back next year...

For us just one minor point, we would have liked a little more variety at breakfast, it was very nice but after a few days I have to say it was just a little bit monotonous, that's it...

Gardens and pool area are spectacular, as is the view from the restaurant and the top floor bar area. Very clean facility, friendly and professional staff. Breakfast selection good and tasty.

The "panoramic" view from our room was well, nice enough but far from panoramic (definition = an unbroken view of the whole region surrounding an observer). Lighting in the bathroom is poor.

Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Great pool and breakfast area. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Area is perhaps a bit too quiet but this will be a plus for many. Not much happening around Porto Cervo in April

Excellent reception staff, their local knowledge and tips for restaurants was top notch....1) Family run pizzaria, 2)the best Tbone steak and 3) home made pasta/fish will not cost a fortune. The location on the hill above Porto Cervo was excellent.. nice views to the east and also, on a clear day, the snow covered peaks of Corsica.

The restaurant for breakfast was not double glazed, therefore a bit cold and windy.. even for the end of october.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely design and architecture, a beautiful setting in the hills about 100 m above the sea. Gourmet restaurant, serving full English breakfast and excellent cuisine for lunch and dinner. Altogether GREAT value for money.

Our stay at Hotel Balocco was exceptional. All staff, from front desk to restaurant and service staff were very friendly and professional. The location is second to none. Our entire experience was extremely positive. We will definitely return.

Old style hotel

Porto Cerevo does not have a centre/heart,so strolling day and night was not possible

Everything was wonderful. Beautiful poolside with restaurant and magnificent gardens. Very charming and responsive staff.

Wifi didn't always work in room but this is very minor as there was a guest computer service always vailable and free

Reception was excellent - we were warmly greeted by an english speaking person who recommended Spinnaker restaurant just up the hill which was marvelous in every respect. Room faced pool, sea, and garden and atmosphere was serene and refined.

breakfast was included in the room rate though most items on the buffet were extra (e.g., orange juice, churcuturie, etc.). Wasps were pesky at breakfast.

Loved the location and style of the hotel, was impressed by very friendly hotel staff and their unmistaken restaurant recomendation.

Despite its great location and proximity to Porto Cervo, the room and food prices were not expensive. Very good value for money.

Bit tired needs some money spent on rooms.there is lots of Ivy plants climbing all over the place which when u go out onto the balcony makes it look as if ur staying in a cave.

The staff were absolutely wonderful a big thank you to Rosella and Stella for being so lovely. We were meant to stay for 2 nights we ended staying for 4. We started off in a standard room and the hotel upgraded us on our last night to the most beautiful suite. The standard rooms were clean and obviously basic but with a beautiful view. The suite was very big, with a large balcony with full view of the sea and mountains. Very romantic room and view. Great toiletries and strong hair dryer. Bathrobes and slippers also provided. The next time I visit the hotel i'll definitely book the suite as the price difference is not substantial. The hotel had a lovely restaurant by the pool which also served a generous breakfast. The chef prepared delicious and health meals for lunch as well. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to the beach. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, they were very thoughtful to ensure we had the best stay, they helped with all restaurant bookings and provided us with a rental car which was difficult to find for the time of the year. The hotel is located 5 min drive from porto cervo and max 10 - 15 min away from billionaire/sotto vento and many excellent restaurants. (I would not try to walk to any of these locations as cars drive very fast on their roads) I found the location of Balocco to be very convenient its on the way to all the best beaches and restaurants/clubs.

In the standard room the AC was weak and there were little ants. For guests who dont want to rent a car, a shuttle bus to porto cervo would be convenient. Wifi didnt always work, the hotel offers a computer in the lobby for all guests to use. Otherwise we loved our stay and will be back.

The view, high over looking the port was wonderful. Beautiful swimming pool and eating area with the same view. Several good eating places within walking distance. Our room had a balcony and was nicely furnished. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We would stay there again.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful view of the Porto Cervo marina. Not more than 5-10 minutes walk to the marina. I specially liked that the hotel did't have so many beds which gives you a more familiar feeling and better contact with the hotel personal. It was very nice to have the breakfast at the terrace every morning, because of the quietness, the view of the ocean and the harbour.

The only bad thing was the beds. They where too hard. Your back hurts only after one night. I can't understand why a 4-star hotel invest in such poor beds.

Very friendly hotel where nothing seems too much trouble for the staff.Overall the hotel was well designed. I particuarly like the unique Sardinian decor and furnishings.The pool area and surrounding gardens were beautifully presented and the breakfast terrace was very relaxing area to sit on a morning,excellent coffee by the way. Lunch served by the pool was of a very good standard. Our rooms were clean and our terrace had a superb view of the marina and a splendid palm and lime tree lime tree which mad it feel quite homely,sundbeds were also comfortable.The bar was also a great place to sit and relax.I Appreciated the free wifi and room safe which so many hotels still charge for. Overall we had a very happy stay and would thouroughly recommend it to anyone visting the area.

Difficult to find fault,maybe a larger tv in the room?,but it was not a problem as we hardly watched it.
