Hotel BarberiniVia Rasella 3, Trevi, 00187 Rome (Show map) Very good, Score from 205 reviews“excellent breakfast and view from the breakfast area, wonderful location, clean and great staff. I will stay in it again while in Rome.We walked everywhere since it's a great location, safe area, close to metro, bus and taxi.”

The Hotel Barberini takes its name from the renowned piazza set just across the road, featuring Bernini’s classic Tritone fountain. This luxury hotel is set in Rome’s most exclusive neighborhood. Housed in a prestigious 19th century building, the Hotel Barberini is an elegant and glamorous choice for an unforgettable stay in the Eternal City. It offers comfortable guest rooms which combine classic design with modern amenities. A definite highlight of the Barberini Hotel is the panoramic breakfast room providing views across Rome’s enchanting historic center. The famously chic Via Veneto is just a few steps away as are a number of monuments and attractions including the Trevi Fountain and the Quirinale Gardens. The metro stop is only a few yards away. However, the hotel’s convenient location means that most of the city’s sights are within walking distance. Hotel Rooms: 35

The location was excellent for the short stay (3 days) we had before heading to the port for a cruise. Easy walking access to some of the main tourist attractions - Spanish Steps, Parthenon, Piazza Navona, etc. - as well as shopping areas like Via del Corso. It was also easy for us to hire a scooter from a nearby shop just off Piazza Barberini (Barberini Scooters for Rent) and the taxi fare to Termini station was very reasonable. Although the rooms are not overly large, the one we had on the 3rd floor was cosy enough for my wife and I and perfect for resting after a day of wandering, and we were never bothered by any excessive noise from adjacent rooms or the street (our room overlooked an internal courtyard). Breakfast was continental style with great coffee, and it was served on a rooftop terrace which gave you a lovely panorama over Rome...one of the highlights of our stay at the hotel. We had a good price for the first 2 days of our stay but the 3rd day was quite high (most likely due to peak time in late August). When averaged out it wasn't too bad and a reasonable trade-off for the great location. Couldn't get the bar fridge to get very cold to chill our beers, and the electricity supply wasn't sufficient to power my wife's hair dryer. Word of warning if you intend using the metro to make your way to the hotel - in addition to navigating stairs through the metro stations, it's an uphill gradient on cobblestone streets once you exit from Barberini station so it's an effort if you've got lots and/or heavy luggage...suggest splashing out and getting a taxi :)

The location was great and our room was very comfortable The selection for breakfast was good but the scrambled eggs were overcooked like rubber every morning and the bacon was raw - not very appetising.

Luxurious hotel located very central to Rome's top tourist areas. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was enjoyed with a great view on the 6th floor. I chose the hotel for it's location, room facilities, I.E. a junior suite with hydro-massage bath for a very romantic weekend away. You look forward to coming back to relax in this hotel in between all the sight-seeing.

The breakfast area was delightful, food was good. It was a nice way to start the day. The beds were most uncomfortable - very, very hard. The walls were thin between rooms, therefore, we heard all the talking and tv from the next room, very difficult to get much rest. The staff at the front desk had very little internet knowledge, which, although advertised as free Wi-Fi was not accessable. The front desk staff was not very helpful answering simple tourist questions.

I enjoyed having a balcony which enabled me to see wonderful sunsets and loved having breakfast on the terrace overlooking Rome.At times I resented walking along the noisy Via Tritone to go back to the hotel. But on the whole I found my stay quite satisfying. See above. What I definetely didn't like was being asked 55 Euros instead of 50 as stated by the concierge.

Great Location - Close to the subway station. The rooms were clean but very small. The breakfast room is the highlight with fantastic views of the city. Rooms could have been slightly bigger for the price (we stayed in a double room)

The first night we were placed in an other hotel due to an overbooking. We didnt have any compensation at all although at arrival we were promised the first night for free. This is very indecent and unproffessional.

Location. Conveniently located near Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Bed was extremely hard with a very flat pillow. Also, the bathrooms when cleaned only included a bath mat once out of three days and only one robe included for two people.
