The location is great to the train station, but the owner and family are wonderful hosts and really take care of you. Constantine (the owner) really welcomes you and you will want to come again. Our bed was very squeaky when you rolled over.

The hotel location was splendid! Tucked just behind the rows of buildings facing the SMN stazione which make it quiet but close to the stazione (convenience if you carry large luggage). It was also near the marketplace, laundry and everything. The owner was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast described as varied and satisfactory compared to equivalent priced hotel in Rome. The room was large with ample of space. High pressure hot shower 24hrs. The hotel is on the 2nd floor with lift that accomodate 2 people comfortably. Overall, very pleasant stay. Definitely will come back and stay there again! ciao

The owner of the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. he took the trouble to help us feel at home and helped us decide where to go and where to eat. I was in Florence with my daughter and having this sort of guidance made all the difference to our visit. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was reasonably large clean and worked well. We had a great time and would use this hotel again. Difficult to find anything, but if I was being picky the decoration in the rooms was a bit old fashioned.

The Location of the Hotel was ideal. The owner of the hotel went out of his way to assist us. He advised us on the best restaurants to eat at, told us where we could do our laundry and where to shop. Our room was clean and tidy with seperate bathroom. Other hotel staff also very friendly. Will stay there again on our return to Florence. The hotel is on the 2nd floor and the lift is very small. Had to make two trips with our suitcases

The location is very good and enables one to walk in a reasonably short time to most of the visitor attractions in Firenze. The rooms are clean although dated and in need of refurbishment. The room was poorly laid out. There was only one bed side table. The bathroom although very spacious had an extremely small shower cubicle.

Very friendly hotel - you felt like you became part of the family. I loved that it was in an old building, so you felt like you were a local in Florence - yet it had all the facilities that you expect in a hotel. It was close to the train and handy to the sites.

Very near the train station, but on a quiet street. The owner was great at helping us sort out Florence and where to find things---even small things like a ceramics store or a great sandwich shop. Room and bathroom were both spacious. Breakfast was decent. Learning to use the elevator was an adventure! Internet could be accessed from our room. We would stay there again.

It is a family run hotel, really near the train station, almost next to a supermarket. We had good advice from the older brother on where to eat, buy bus-tickets, diections, etc. Most Italians we met spoke good English. The area is quiet, decent and safe, though it is a short walk off a busy street facing the railyway station. Lots of buses go there. We could walk to the Duomo in 15 mins. Breakfast was quite decent. It was on the 2nd floor of a building. Many 3-star hotels in Florence were using parts of big buildings. We would have appreciated some signpost as we approached the lift on whether it can be used to get there. Because we were uncertain, my in-laws decided to carry their lugguage all the way up to the 2nd level. (They didn't even want to try). It will be a service to guests had it been made clear the ancient lift accesses the hotel directly. I had a little difficulty opening the lift door the first time, but we got used to it after that.

The location is wonderful. The hotel staff is very helpful. The breakfast is a little bit too sweet. The choices are fruits, cereal and milk, coffee or tea, small cakes, breads, hams, cheese.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good and the oldness of the hotel was an experience. Just loved the room and the quaint old fashioned life. Small, but clean and freindly. I would stay again and also recommend to others. Good value for money

Location is excellent On leaving the hotel we were pushed to pay with cash and told that for this 'special price' we had to pay with cash. It was only when I pulled out my booking.com email that stated they took cc that I was allowed to proceed with Visa.

The hotel is well situated on a calm street but still quite central: 3 min from SMN railway station, 10 min walk to city center (S. Maria del Fiore), very clean and comfortable room with well-equipped bathroom. Free Wi-Fi. Really nice and helpful owner Constantino, at our arrival he gave to us a city map and mark off the interesting places to visit and good restaurants to eat at. We checked them out and didn’t get disappointed ! especially, don’t miss ZaZa !

We chose the Hotel Beatrice for its close proximity to the train station, so for that it was excellent. The gentleman that runs the hotel is extremely friendly and is only too happy to help with information and directions which is lovely when alot of other Hoteliers don't appear to be interested. Would definately stay again. After getting in the lift to go upstairs to the Hotel Beatrice, we then had to walk up two flights of stairs with our luggage from Reception to our room. This would be ok if you didnt have alot of luggage, we did. Remember this for next time and take less luggage.
