Great all round to be honest, even showed the football
Courtesy of staff Good breakfast
Best of it's category.
the location of this hotel was excellent with links to the major auto routes
really dirty windows
Welcoming and helpful staff on reception and restaurant Surprisingly good food
Nothing major. Quite a way from the city but an easy drive in.
Huge comfortable bed. Big shower room. Wifi was working properly and was free in all areas. Satisfied with breakfast. We chose this hotel as it is close to the highway to Ancona.
I liked the neighbourhood, the malls around. The hotel is close to the airport, 15 minutes by taxi. This is especially usefull if your plane takes off early in the morning. The personell has an excellent command of English, it is very clean nd the room was large, the bathroom excellent. The restaursnt was also very good.
There are limited variants of public transportation there. The taxi in the morning for the airport was 15 minutes late and was very expensive (25 euros).
Most of the staff was helpful and the facility was extremely clean. There was a wide assortment of food at the breakfast buffet which meant there was something for everyone to find and enjoy.
The bus to get to and from the city weren't as user friendly as the staff led us to believe. The buses stopped running as far as the hotel over an hour before the buses stopped for the night. If you're going into the city plan to drive/take a cab.
Very good hotel
The receptionist (Giusepe I think, was kind and upgraded us to a double room, even if we reserved a room specially adapted for disabled people - that was at that moment the cheapest on booking) Also I liked the orange juicer in breakfast (except the fact that it wasn't clean), the room was clean and also free parking is a plus.
Room is average and not to sound proof and the hotel is far from city center (12 min by car). The breakfast area is not so clean and for that I didn't eat much (maybe is their strategy to reduce expenses:) ) I would recommend this hotel only for 1 night transit, as we stayed, not more.
If you have car I woul definitely recommend staying here. Everything in the room was great. Only minor thing is the hotel corridors that was smelling little bit
room, location, free parking, staff, breakfast
no lounge bar to relax
Pricey for such a small room
room was small
We paid city fee additionally to the room price which wasn't mentioned anywhere. It was only 2 euro per day but it was annoying.
Great value. All you could ever expect from a modern hotel
A long way from the city centre but we new that
I liked the brand Holiday Inn, because I have stayed in Holiday Inn in Chicago and Netherlands, but I definitely didn't like that one in Bologna.
- It was writen in the offer that the WiFi is free, when we had asked on the reception desk about the password they gave us a form for a loyalty card that we would have had to fill in if we would have wanted to use the WiFi. Don't you think that if I'm satisfied enough from your hotels and service I would ask you for such a card by my own, it wouldn't be necessary you to force me to fill out form for it? - In the website the opportunities to move from the hotel to the city center by public transport are mentioned in details, but when we had asked on the reception desk about the bus schedule the administrator told us that we could move to the city center only by taxi and he insisted to call a taxi for us. May be the hotel has a contract with some of the taxi companies and gets a payment from it/them. Anyway, we found out the bus stop and got the bus to the center. - There were only three tables with customers in the hotel restaurant in the evening when we arrived but we were serveed from both waiters so we payed 5 euro for service (2.5 euro each). So for our two meals we were served from two waiters and we had to pay to each of them. It is not customer's fault that they are not qualified enough to serve one table or they just wanted to earn more money because we are foreigners. If I were satisfied enough from the service and the food, I would give them a good tip, but not make me pay for nothing. Finally, I'm not going to stay at Holiday Inn hotels any more, next time it could be worse. May be it's a sufficient possibility for a business trip, but definitely not for a vacation.
The directions on the website didn't help at all. As a solo traveler with limited italian it was very frustrating to find.
Impersonal check-in, I had to ask for everything giving the impression that I had to finish as soon as possible, very uncomfortable!
I booked the hotel as it was relatively cheap for bologna standards only needs a 30 minutes bus ride to city centre, the place is nice and rooms are clean and pleasant
staff should be more proactive, I booked by mistake a room for disabled but they did not say it until I asked to change the room
Practical, clean, functional. Does what it says on the tin.
Odd wifi set up. You have to sign up for membership of a club and get sent promotional emails. Nothing about this when you try to log on so had to go to reception to find out.
The bed and the pillows were to die for! I had the best sleep there!
I specificly asked for a smoking room and they assured me that is manageble, and they gave me a non smoking room.
Big room and bathroom. good breakfast
City centre is quite far (40-60 min by bus)
Room is of excellent quality for the cost/night
No room service Fair/poor breakfast
