Hotel Ca' dei ContiCastello 4429, Castello, 30122 Venice (Show map) Very good, Score from 171 reviews“The great place, location is excellent, short working distance to all city sights. Very nice and helpful staff. ”

Just 650 ft from Saint Mark's Square, Ca' dei Conti is an 18th-century Venetian residence, reached by bridge over a small canal. It offers a charming roof terrace and elegant rooms. This 4-star hotel originally belonged to an aristocratic family, whose coat of arms can still be seen in the lobby's marble floor. The historic atmosphere is continued throughout the property with plenty of antique furniture and Murano glass chandeliers. All air conditioned, rooms here feature a minibar, TV and a private bathroom with hairdryer. Some are located in Palazzo Querini just a few steps away. Hotel Ca' dei Conti serves hot breakfasts each morning. Drinks from the bar can be served up on the terrace. With its central location, the hotel is surrounded by some of Venice's most popular cafés, stores and restaurants. You also have easy access to Vaporetto (water bus) services to Santa Lucia Train Station. Hotel Rooms: 31

Our room was in the anex building on the ground floor/ May be we were lucky - but it was not a single hotel room as I expected to live in - it was an appartment with kitchen and even stove in it (the only thing that made us astonished - no plates and facilities to cook) :-) But the best thing was a small garden, a kind of patio, that belonged only to our room and to nobody else!!! I think we were really lucky to get such a flat as a garden!!!! The rooms on the upper floors have not even balconies I think smth was wrong with piping system in the bathroom - we had water on the floor, but it was a little, and it did not disturb us

The room was beautiful. Being in Italy, we expected much better coffee with the breakfast. My wife described it as "muddy".

The hotel was beautiful. The staff was extremely accommodating in helping us obtain everything from water taxis to restaurants. Knowledgable, efficient, and friendly. Our rooms had wonderful canal views which added to the experience. Room furnishings were lovely period pieces. The sitting room alone was larger than the entire hotel room in many of our other Italian city hotels. A+ Breakfast buffet was fair. Nothing to write home about.

I liked the location of the hotel, which was superb and the staff were efficient and helpful Although the breakfast was generally very good ,it does not cater for vegetarians,in that even the hash browns had meat in them.Consequently i was a bit bored with cheese toasties each morning.I do realise that this is a common problem in Italy, generally ,therefore i didn't expect anything different, however i do think for British and American visitors the breakfast is very important ,especially as it is so expensive to eat in Venice.I hope that these comments are useful to you. Many Thanks Maria Curle

Unfortunately the weekend we were in Venice the Pope was visiting. This had not been well advertised and some of the main attractions were closed. Although classed as 4 star, I would rate it as 3 star. They seem to have converted every possible area into a bedroom. We were in room 106 just along from the breakfast room. This was very noisy especially when staff were making breakfast. There was no place in the hotel to relax and have a drink after exploring the city. We had paid extra for a canal view however it was on the main path past the hotel, again noisy. Although advertised with a television there was only one channel and as the only place to relax between sight seeing was the room this was quite frustrating.

Very good location for visitng Venice. Clean and comfortable rooms, always warm (we went in winter). Friendly atmosphere, would recommend to all our friends. Breakfast, although not full English totally adequate and plentiful with a good choice - apples are good!! Could not fault it - but a good map from the water bus would be helpful - althoughs locals, especially man in ice cream shop, givegood directions

Nice decor, very comfortable and good value for money considering the location to San Marco and quality of the room, Initially very hard to find as the roads to the hotel are very hidden and small. However once found it poses no problem. Double beds are two single beds put together as usual and they are currently undergoing minor renovations in some rooms so you can hear construction at times. No in room kettles.

We read all the reviews and wanted to ensure we could find the place. Well, we forgot the directions. The staff at the front desk was excellent at talking to us on the phone (multiple times) to ensure we arrived. Location is great for Venice. Although we stayed on the floor with the breakfast, we did not hear any noise in the morning. We ordered a triple room and they made sure that the extra bed was brought in for our child. Surprisingly it was an adult size twin bed instead of a child size. Beds were comfortable and having the functional shutters on the windows helped to limit noise and light in the morning. Breakfast was sufficient. Upon arrival they give you a map of the city and it has the hotel on it which is great. There was always a bowl of candy at the front desk which my child loved. They also had umbrellas that you could borrow if weather dictated.

The staff was extremely rude to us, and were unwilling to accommodate our requests. They were snooty, and made our stay very uncomfortable. The decor of the hotel was also very antiquated, and while the hotel was cleanly, it was not a comfortable room to stay in. For example, the bed was not actually a double, but rather two singles pushed together, which made for a very uncomfortable sleep. The bathroom was also miniature, with a half-foot gap between the front of the toilet and the shower wall, leaving no room for one to sit.

We loved the Hotel Ca' dei Conti. It was close to everything, and was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms were big and elegant. We walked all night through Venice and felt safe. We had our young daughter with us, and she loved it as well. We were on the third floor with a room with beamed ceilings. It was gorgous!

The location and the Hotel staff were excellent the bathroom was new and clean the rooms are large Not really a four star hotel more like a three star, rooms are old, bathrooms are new, the rooms are large but they could use a update, not a good value for the money the rooms are about $450 us there might be better rooms at the same cost elsewhere in Venice, the breakfast was probably the worst we had had anywhere almost nothing to eat

Very central for all the sights of Venice. Lots of back street cafes, and eating places of good quality. Though the cost of everything is high.Pack your walking shoes! and large wallet!! Hotel has a nice decking area on the roof for a relaxing coffee. The rooms Canel rooms are not small. Please remember that Venice was built before tourists!! The basic rooms lead off the reception area and the breakfast rooms. Book the Canel rooms.
