lovely hotel, rooms were great size for the price we paid and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was rather poor standard. Extra for hot food at breakfast.. |

I liked the fact that it travels you back to the middle age. The interior is 100% Venezian. Of course the canal passing by the hotel is so small, so the "canal view" rooms are more or less "the neighbor’s window view". Also, book the rooms on the 2nd floor, because they are the only quiet. The ones at the 1st floor have as a hall the breakfast room, while the ones at the ground floor have as a hall... the reception. |

Great location as is easily reached from either the pier for San Marco or San Zaccaria and easy to reach either San Marco itself or a short walk to Rialto bridge |

Beautiful quaint hotel just minutes away from St Marks, but without the hustle. Would recomend this hotel especially for couples who wish to visit Venice and want somewhere near the centre but do not require a hotel restaurant and bar. |

It was a great location - close to all the major attractions but a little off the beaten path. Our room was awesome, it had a great patio but I think we were the only ones with the patio- some opened to the breakfast room and lobby. We loved it, thought it was great for the money |

We had two adjoining bedrooms (for the four of us); this was an ideal arrangement. The quality of the fittings in the rooms (wood and marble) was excellent. It was helpful that the staff spoke good English. Everything was of a high standard. It's location was also good - quiet but central. We had a faulty tap in our bathroom. |

The location of the hotel is perfect; just off St Marc Square, however still peaceful. Rooms are lovely decorated in period style. Reception staff serviceminded, friendly and correct. Breakfast was disappointing. |

It was very difficult to find the hotel at first as the hotels webpage directions were wrong and the ferry numbers have changed. Be prepared to carry your suitcases over lots of stairs and bridges in order to get there! We had a beautiful room - the 2 storey room from the webpage photos which was lovely (unfortunately the air con was weak and the room stayed uncomfortably hot). The location is very central and its an easy walk to everything. Venice is like a maze so always carry a map! The breakfast room was not equipped well with a limited breakfast and not enough tables so people had to wait. It was great watching the gondolas and boats go right past the hotel entrance. |

Great staff. Our room was beautiful. The breakfast was more than excellent. Sometimes it smelled a bit of the canal water, but we were on the 1st floor, I don't know if it smells like that all over in Venice... |

Beautiful rooms lot of space in the room, good bed, clean and the room was very quiet. The bathroom from room 605 had not any space to put your toothbrush or make up of something else and the entrance of the bathroom is not easy whith the two doors and step the older people had some problems with it.In the breakfastroom is a kitchen where the dishes are washed by hand it makes a lot of noise.I hope this is a temporary solution,it fits not in the old design of the hotel and is irritating. |

Absolutely fabulous! Our room was gorgeous - the green one shown on the internet. The staff was amazing - helpful, courteous and warm. Beautiful breakfast room. Fantastic location. Made our stay in Venice wonderful. Everything about the hotel is top notch. You must get detailed walking directions before you arrive. We got off at Zaccharia station and could have gotten there in 5 minutes but spent several hours lost. |

It was very centrally based in Venice and a good position to walk to many places. You had the central position but not the noise which you would have had if the hotel was on the Grand Canal. It was pretty from the outside and lived up to the photograph on the internet. We booked a room which stated views of the canal - you could see these but only if you really hung out of the window - it was'nt as good as the written description I had read - the staff were not as friendly as described either - after a frosty begining they did get friendlier as the week progressed. |

Location was ideal. Hotel had character. Bedroom was a good size, bathroom (particularly shower) was a bit small but all clean and tidy. A bit awkward to find - make sure to take walking directions to the hotel with you! Hotel staff were polite but a bit gloomy. Don't bother going for a drink in the bar area - clearly they don't expect you too as it's not manned and is pretty soul-less and empty. Breakfast room is absolutely tiny - bordering on ridiculous! |

Great location, nice public areas There was no aircon. Hotel staff mumbled some sort of explanation of why was the case, they did not apologise or try to rectify, which was not very professional. It was a hot May week and so it was difficult to sleep at night |

The location is perfect for walking to points of interest, restaurants etc. The hotel itself is beautifully restored, spotless and very comfortable. The service within the hotel was excellent. Our grandaughters were charmed by their attic room. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. |
