Friendly and helpful staff with excellent breakfast included in the price located at the edge of the town and by the sea. Very low occupancy and clearly closing down for the season with hotel bedside mats removed before we left and even some of the bed covers. Air conditioning did not appear to work but room temperature OK. |

We were upgraded to a sea view room with a balcony which provided us with magnificent views. The staff were cheerful and helpful. |

Location by small private beach. Modern rooms though no draw space. Sea facing rooms with wonderful view particularly at sunset. Poor reception / bar areas |

The swimming pool. This hotel was classed as 4 star which it is not. Very tired with poor facilities and vastly overpriced. |

It was clean, the madrasses good and the staff in the restaurant very friendly Your website, and staff, tells you that the rooms has a wonderful seaview. It may be correct, but only for a few rooms. |

very close to the sea and access to a small beach. just out of the town and a 15 minute walk to the centre of teh town. pool area very nice, plenty of sun loungers and decent sized pool for swimming in. staff courteous and helpful. has a small hotel feel about it. rooms extrememly basic and bed not very comfortable. i cannot believe this can be classed as a 4 star hotel. food reasonable quality but very expensive. we only had an evening meal once and were surprised that the dining area is in a huge marquee with no air conditioning |

The staff were really accomodating and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean and basic, but perfectly adequate and cool. The showers were excellent. The beach was a bit small and could have done with a tidy up. |

The staf were excellent and after getting used to the slightly rustic accomodation we really warmed to the hotel. The breakfast sat overlooking the bay of alghero was simply stunning not to be missed -would definitely do it again The rooms were a bit dark and cramped but that was part of the charm of the place - it wasnt the classic big chain hotel which could have been in any major city |

It is a very well situated, well run hotel for persons wanting a sun holiday on the beech. Whereas the beech area is small, it is adequate for the hotel guests and the water is crystal clean. |

Friendly staff and the rooms are well cleaned. The hotel keeps a overall very good standard (compared to many other hotels). Rooms a fairly recently renovated in a plain, but functional style - But the bathroom (which is half-way renovated) lack the same standard as the room itself, but okay. Better taps, porcelain, lighting and look & feel of the bathroom. I would recommend this hotel to others! Three suggestions: 1) Beds are hard, especially for a tall nordic guy of 186 cm and ditto weight. 2) More protein food for breakfast? Grained bread? Etc. 3) What about a mini bus shuttle to/from the airport (which is very common in other countries)? This hotel is far out on the country side. I think this would give the extra advantage / edge over other 4 star hotels!! Even catch customers from the 5 star hotels! The public transportation is crap, and there are few and far between taxies - we had to wait for over an hour to get a taxi to the airport (even if we called several times to the taxi-company). We could have lost our flight, but we made it. I think we would have paid about 10 Euros p.p. for a trip from the airport. |

The pool and the beach. The hotel upgraded us to seaview rooms. The hotel reception held on to our passports for hours stating that they needed to get details. |

All the staff were lovely - really friendly and very helpful. They were knowledgable about local events, restaurants and excursions and very polite. The room was big clean and had a balcony with a view of the pool and the sea. The room was simple rather than luxurios but more than sufficient. It was after all only a standard double so I imagine the superior rooms are more luxurious. |

Staff in this hotel were the best I have experienced. They couldn't do enough to help us during our stay. Everyone from cleaning ladies, bar staff and receptionists were very helpful and friendly. Hotel facilities were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon in Hotel Calabona. They also provided free champagne in the room when they realised we were on honeymoon! Nothing to dislike. It is about a 20 min walk into the centre of the town alongside the beautiful coast so if you don't like walking then you may find the hotel a bit far out, but we found it lovely walk in the evening before and after dinner. |

Little or nothing. The price (crazy price - very expensive for the level of comfort and facilities on offer); the location (too far from the centre of Alghero); the room (20 years out of date); the staff, (distant; seemed to take very little interest in the guests); breakfast (very poor- no hot food); not at all what we were expecting. |

The only plus point with Hotel Calabona is its location to the old town being a 20 minute walk. If Hotel Calabona is a 4 star hotel, I would hate to stay in a 3 star in Alghero. The hotel itself needs major updating. The rooms are furnished with curtains, bed spreads and carpets that appear to have not changed for over 20 years. The hotel is expensive and offers no value for money whatsoever. If you have a car, I would avoid this hotel at all costs. |

With a fantastic location just 250 metres from the fine sandy beach of Maria Pia, this charming villa is ideal for your stay in a quiet, tranquil area of Alghero. |
Situated in a quiet part of Alghero, 15 minutes’ walk from the historic centre, Angedras is modern and spacious with a lovely terrace featuring great views. |
The Agriturismo Sa Suerera is a rustic farmhouse, located in the north of Sardinia close to the increasingly popular resort of Olmedo. |
