Location - all main sites within 10 minutes walk. Helpful staff. Modern, clean rooms. Breakfast is average. Standard rooms are quite small although everything you need is present. |

Hotel Calzaiuoli is near the Duomo and the Uffizi on a beautiful - but very active - street in the heart of Florence. The staff is very accomodating and helpful. The rooms are very clean and have been updated since we last stayed here in 2001. The bathrooms are marble and updated also. Beds were very comfortable, rooms air conditioned. Decent breakfast included. Will stay here again. I'm not sure why so many hotels do this in Europe, including this one, but there is no shower curtain for the showers, only a glass door that covers 1/3 of the opening. Water gets everywhere. Even so, the marble bathrooms are very nice in this hotel, if a bit small. The hotel does not furnish irons. |

The hotel is wonderfully located in the centre of Florence. It is ideal as a base to visit museums, galleries, churches. The room was stylish, comfortable and clean. Better instructions need to be given about car parking. Access to the hotel by car is more or less impossible. Guests should realize that they should park in a car park (eg. Parcheggio Parterre) outside the central city area and then take a taxi to the hotel. Breakfast is pleasant, but there is no restaurant for dinner. However, there are many nice restaurants within walking distance. |

The staff weren't friendly or helpful. They didn't have any irons and we couldn't iron clothes for a wedding and they offered us No solution to assist in getting one. |

The location excelent, to room was good, better than I was expected. It includes a sofa to accomodate my soon. the extra cost for internet despite that some restorants has it free. |

Everyone was so friendly and very accomodating. The Hotel is also very conveniently located for easy walking distance to most sites. We went back and stayed another night it was so great. |

Location!!! Right in the heart of the historical center, right in the main street! By day walking distance from any sites you want to see, by night just go downstairs to have dinner in the piazza and have a great ice cream on the steps of the Duomo! Despite all the excitement at night, the rooms are very quiet and confortable! Breakfast room is very small, yet cosy. |
