Location was excellent, in the middle of town, walking distance to everything. staff were great, breakfast was great. It was lovely to have a bath also.
Very noisy floorboards..
Breakfasts and everything else was world class
Great hotel central to everything you want to do and see in Firenze. Great staff, clean and well appointed rooms. Highly recommend.
The loation was excellent as well as the customer service.
hower was extremly small and cuse the entire bathroom floor to get wet.
Fantastic location. Helpful staff. Amazing room and what a view of the Duomo.
Could have had a bar. Also no milk in rooms but that's normal across Tuscany.
Very convenient location. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Enjoyed our daily breakfast too!
This is a very small hotel located on Via Calzaiuoli, one of the large main streets in Florence. I appreciated the hotel mainly because of the location, which made our experience in Florence wonderful. As you step out of the hotel you have cafes, bars, restaurants, and the Duomo surrounding you. Every major sight is within a 10 minute walk. It is an upscale area that feels safe and traveler friendly. It was absolutely amazing to walk by the Duomo whenever we left or returned to the hotel.
We took a short cab (10 mins) from the train station to the hotel. It is walkable if you don't have a lot of luggage. On check-in, we were greeted but not as warmly as some of the other places we've stayed in. I had emailed the hotel 2 weeks prior to our visit to confirm our reservation but had not gotten a response. I booked a superior double room (one step up from the basic room) after seeing pictures online and noting that the superior doubles seemed roomier. However, the room we were given looked exactly like the pictures of the basic double online. It was extremely tiny. Only the bathroom felt spacious. The room itself was basically a bed and two tables, there was no couch as pictured on the website pictures. One day as we left our room I noted that the room next to us seemed to be more like the pictures of the superior double online. When I asked the front desk to confirm that we had in fact received a superior double, they confirmed that we had, but that the superior double rooms varied and I guess we received a smaller than average one. I did feel a little cheated by this, as we paid extra for the room but definitely received a smaller room that felt quite cramped. The pictures of the superior double room are misleading, and I would definitely recommend booking a larger room if you are staying here. Overall, the size of the room was more than made up for by the great location of the hotel and the beauty of the city, which was our favorite stop in all of Italy.
Great beds, quiet rooms, staff was extremely helpful
No shower curtain in bathroom made taking shower a bit messy
On a main shopping route right by the doumo and we still had a great nights sleep.
Difficult if you're driving here and lack of advice about contacting them first with the car license details, even though we told them in advance we had a car. We were lucky we didn't get a ticket.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of choices. The sites were all within walking distance of the hotel. the surrounding restaurants were also good. I would differently stay here again.
We stayed here 2 years ago and loved it so decided to return. It was even better than the first time. Excellent location, staff, breakfast and attention to detail with the maintenance of room everyday (i.e. little chocolates on your pillow etc.)
Friendly staff, good location for shopping & sightseeing , love the coffee of breakfast
Very little not to like. Location also means it is not absolutely quiet but on high enough floor, it is very peaceful.
Room decoration beautiful Room clean Breakfast close to perfect Attentive and kind staff
Room was a bit small for two people sharing not being lovers
GREAT LOCATION, BED WAS CONFORTABLE. ONLY STAYED ONE NIGHT
A BIT EXPENSIVE, NON EXISTANT LOBBY FOR PEOPLE TO MEET
Superb central location but it can be a bit noisy as a result. The staff were excellent and friendly.
Our rooms were of a nice size but the bathrooms all had issues with showers leaking. A little more attention to these details would be helpful especially as the rooms were new.
staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast good and the bedroom was very good.
Location perfect, service helpful, room comfortable.
No negative comments.
Right in the middle of all tourist destinations and very good dining alfresco!
Location - excellent Close to every attraction Affordable eateries at your doorstep Lifts Breakfast
Reception staff were helpful but had a snooty attitude. Room service constantly opening our door and interrupting our rest. Unlike many hotels in Antica Firenze, the windows are not double glazed and sealed. We loved the booming and loud Duomo bells during regular daylight hours but the song and dance these bells make every quarter hour from 6am made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. Price - outrageously expensive for our tiny and pokey room.

Really perfect location. The room was excellent. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
It was very difficult to drive to the hotel, but that is an inconvenience that comes with the location.
We had a very comfortable room with good facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and the hotel was perfectly located for exploring Florence. I would certainly go back there in the future, and would recommend it to others.
The breakfast room was too small and very busy... and we had a problem with our shower which was never resolved (although staff did try) - when shower was turned on full, the bedroom flooded!
Our room was very comfortable and spacious, Staff were accommodating to our needs and queries. Will come back again!
