Staff were very accomodating. Hadn't realised it was located on such a busy road with a very public park opposite. Next time, I will ask for a room that doesn't open to the road.

Location and room's view - you could see the Duomo from the window. Close to train station that you can actually walk if you know where it is when you arrive. There are various small restaurants and bars around the area. You can walk everywhere from this point. If you turn left out of the hotel 2 blocks down was the when the shopping area started - fashion and curious stalls and also close to the Duomo.

You can't beat this hotel for the excellent location, very near the popular Mercato, good restaurants and a dress shop nearby, within walking distance of the main sights. Our room overlooked the Duomo, breakfast was hearty and staff friendly and welcoming. The reception area was very pleasing with so many brochures and information about the city and what it had to offer. There was a very friendly gentleman at reception who welcomed us and had time to chat when he wasn't busy. The only thing that surprised us was that there was no secure place to leave our luggage when we checked out early and wanted to come back later for it. We were asked by the lady at reception to leave our bags behind a curtain at the bar. Since there were people going in and out, we felt it wasn't really safe and gave up our plan to visit a museum that morning. The tiny lift was usually busy though that was not really a problem as we were usually not in a hurry.

I was going for a Pitti exhibition and it was perfect, 300 meters away from the fortalezza, so very conveniently located. it is a good value for money, simple and clean. Bathrobe and sleepers! a plus in the room as it is usually on higher type of hotels you find theses items available in your room. the breakfast is basic and limited in choice. Tv the size of a stamp but who cares in Florence better visit the city than watch tv!

Good value for money. Clean room. Staff was very different. We were welcomed by a really nice man who was very helpful and could speak French, English, Portugese etc...sadly we did not see him again the next day. They arranged to park our car, which was a real plus, as Florence is a busy town with lots of one-way roads. Location good - on a big square with trees - nice to walk to centre near by. Quality of help and guidance could vary a lot depending on the receptionist... The main one we had to deal with on Sat evening and Sunday morning was not great...

Within walking distance to main bus terminal. Tons of hotels in the neighborhood - everyone pulls their own luggage along the skinny sidewalks, so don't think you'll be out of place walking to and from the bus station (a cheap and quick ride to/from the airport). Safe enough neighborhood - although a little dicey at night. Very clean very basic room/clean bathroom- very handy retractable laundry line in bath -mini fridge and safe in the room. A great value for those who will be busy all day touring, not spending time in their rooms - breakfast included - always great coffee in Italy! Neighborhood was a little less appealing at night.

Convenient to train station ( 3 blocks) but also near good restaurants and shopping. We walked to our tours and shopping. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and recommended good restaurants . hotel had a small bar to wind down at the end of the day and an outdoor sitting area. There was 3 of us and the room was quite large and bathroom large also.

The hotel is very close to the railway station and within walking distance to major attractions. The room Is clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast is good for Italian standards with meats and eggs. It is good value for a 3 star hotel. Our triple room has a jaccuzzi which is nice to relax your body after a long day's walk. We enjoyed our stay. There is a pretty good restaurant next door. Even though the wifi costs a little bit, we paid 4 euro for 12 hours and it is enough for our 3-night stay. Nothing really. It is the best hotel during our Italy tour.

This is a conveniently situated hotel; it’s about a 5 minute walk from SMN railway station (10 with a suitcase!), whilst just across the Piazza Indipendenza there are a number of bus stops. It’s an easy walk to the main attractions of central Florence. The room was much as I expect from a city centre hotel single room – nothing special, but nothing really to complain about either. My room was right next to the breakfast room so there was noise from about 6.30 at they prepared the breakfast; I didn’t mind this, as it made for an unusual wake-up call, but those wanting a bit of a lie-in might have resented it. There were breakfast tables right outside my door which was a strange experience! The breakfast itself was adequate but lacked a bit of imagination and variety. The staff were friendly, although I did get “told off” for using the stairs when the lift was occupied; apparently you shouldn’t do this as it sets off the alarm.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was good and the service was nice. Our room was comfortable and had a view of the bell tower. It was quaint, peaceful and comfortable. The facilities are clean and it is close to the city center and the train station. It is close to the markets and delicious restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

“Rooms, specially the ones on the third floor which are newly refurbished, very modern and comofortable are highly recommended. The price was good and the service was great. Specially friendly was the attention of Guido at the front desk. He recommended us places to go, restaurants to visit in the area, etc. Buffet breakfast was included, it was ok but I have no complaints considering that you are paying a very good price for the accommodation!” Valeria, Cambridge |
