Score from 722 reviews Good
Kindness of staff, even the receptionist offered us to leave the car during the night on their reserved place at the hotel entrance. They have really a lift. WiFi worked right. Ten-15 minutes walking to Duomo
Breakfast was a little poor, some material was ageing.
Good breakfast, well located: 10 minutes walk to the train station, 10 minutes walk to the Duomo. Good restaurants close by. The room had a fridge along with tea and coffee facilities. Small outside sitting area
Position and wifi!
The staff weren't very helpful, they for some reason put us in a room with handicap facilities. The shower had a broken drain cover and was squishy because of the fold out seat and the toilet was high off the ground with a handicap seat cover and didn't flush properly.
Staff service Breakfast
It is starting to get a little run down but nothing serious
This is a good little hotel with friendly staff and is ideally situated for exploring all the sights . There are several nice restaurants near by and the train station is only 5-10 mins walk away . The rooms were small but clean and there is a small garden where you can have a nightcap or a cigarette or both.
The breakfast is a bit basic .
Near Center and near the Station. Very good breakfast buffet.
some rooms are quiet small no soap holder at the showers place !!!!
-location is good -hotel is clean and professional
-facing street rooms are not good and could be small -beds are small (doubles)
Can't think of anything
The hotel is 7 min walk from the Duomo. I stayed there for 3 nights with my husband and two boys. The central station is 10 min away. The hotel is clean. The staff are helpful. In the beginning, we had a room which is noisy from the construction next door. When we asked, we were changed to another room which is more quiet. Sometimes the wifi does not work. Breakfast is okay.
Friendly staff. Good nearby bars and restaurants. Off-site parking ar euro20/day, which is fair in July. Breakfast on terrace.
Location was good.
Breakfast was poor.
Everything, there is absolutely nothing to not like.
There was nothing to complain about !!!
When we arrived at 5pm, Josephe at the reception gave us a free tour map and a quick debrief of the facilities around and places to visit, including the public bus route numbers. This helped us to plan our activities around the place during the late evening. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good, and plenty to eat, though not comparable to a 4 star hotel. We think all the hotels in the historic town center are not very big, but serves the purpose of the traveler. Good location, near by pubs and restaurants. Rooms were clean and tidy. We had no issues. Our quadruple room was large.
the staff was very friendly and ready to help. hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. breakfast was very good with and also accommodates for people with gluten intolerance.
wifi connection was not so good in our room.
Monica the owner is wonderful, sympathic and the personnel very competent! Very close to supermarket, bus and train! Great restaurants close by even a wonderful indian restaurant close by1
Everything was perfect!
The hotel was in a good location based on its price. The room was a good sized for two people. Hotel cleanliness was okay but could've better. Breakfast was okay, not a Buffett more along the lines of continental.
Beds, two single beds joined as one queen, uncomfortable to sleep.
Hotel only 10 min walk to station. All staff especially Guiseppe very friendly and helpful with tips on city.
Construction happening next door but didnt bother us as we were up early.
Perfect location, very good and rich breakfast, good and silent air condition, clean hotel, english speaking and helpful receptionists.
Sometimes the WiFi was weak (maybe everyone used it...), the neighbouring building was under construction, so the pouding and drilling started every day at 8 a.m. Not the softest wake up sound.
great location, central & close to SMN train station. Good breakfast spread. Our room at the back was very quiet and had a direct view of the Duomo.
Weak WiFi signal in room.
Neighborhood feel, people friendly, well run hotel
Narrow somewhat tilted sidewalks, uneven walking surfaces outside. Construction of street happening.
Location was great. Hotel staff was spot on for dinner/lunch recommendations. A short walk to the train station, leather market, and Accademia. Room slept family of four very comfortably.
In June, rooms facing the Piazza Indipendenza were very noisy. People were in the park having a party, playing music, talking, etc. past midnight. The only night it was quiet was Sunday night. Request an interior room. Also, when booking with Bookings.com, verify the rate with the Hotel website. They don't always match!
The hotel has got a nice outside sitting area and also a "living room" inside. Rooms facing the garden have got a nice view of the Duomo. It is close to the main railway station and also to the centre and the main sights. You can have breakfast on the balcony.
we were on top floor 3. The room was spacious double. The view of cathedral and sound of bells in the mornings. The breakfast was adequate and enjoyable. Some times we missed their tomotoes and fruit. Not far from station and all florence has to offer.
There was not enough shelves in bathroom and nowhere to put shower gel in the shower unit which makes it a little awkward having to swap from one hand to other. The housekeeper was in the habit of leaving no towels, milk tea, and not adhering to request for more pillows. The breakfast room was not prepared for guests and most days we had to hunt for trays with crocery useable. We went to breakfast at 8.30 and 9 and it was always the same.
Location close to the sights and the train station. Room facing the backyard, quiet, with a view of the Duomo.
I've had much better breakfasts at this price point in Tuscany. Climbing into the shower somewhat perilous, into a high slippery bathtub.
Staff were very nice. In particular we liked the fact that the bed sheets were changed daily, rather than just making the bed.
The shower was pretty dreadful - very poor water pressure.
