The Royal Continental is right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighborhood. It features a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views out over the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.
Score from 1723 reviews Very good
Freindly welcomes and well looked after
Great location, just in front of the train station. We could enjoy the view of Vesuvius in our balcony.
The hotel need's some renovation.
Breakfast, location, price
Location was great and staff were helpful.
Wi-fi connection was so poor and the room was extremely noisy all day long because of the traffic outside, hard to sleep
Breakfast, friendly staff, proximity to train station.
Plumbing issues (toilet spewing and shower flooding bathroom floor every shower), smell of mildew, noise, sketchy neighborhood..
Great location. Clean rooms.
Old hotel, very outdated. But good for a location to be near the train station
Helpful and very happy staff, Good breakfast, Nice terrace for smokers, Location, 2 min.s to Central Station
The elevator was quite old and dangerous.
Near the train station
uncomfortable bed; basic; you get what you pay for
Really uncomfortable beds
Too old and not well kept
Location to travel area by train. City centre walking distance. Buffalo restaurant next door superb
The staff was very kind and helpfull. Breakfast ok. Room clean and spacious with double glazes important for the noisy area. Good value for money
It's close to the Napoli Garibaldi train station Decent breakfast for the budget
Hotel staff not friendly at all Garibaldi train station surroundings not very recommended anytime during the day or especially at night Room was only cleant once in six days. Only used towels were replaced Small TVs with only four channels avavilable and awful signal making it imposible to watch Breakfast time limited from 7.00 to 10.00 Rooms need definitely maintenance. Seems like nothing has been fixed for 30 or more years. The bed was so noisy and uncomfortable that should be replaced before anyone was harmed
Well, It is one of the cheapest hotel around Naples in which I can stay ,specially with my low budget, So I just get what I pay for. If you have a high budget then opt for an expensive hotel, if you are just like me that will just sleep at a hotel and roam around Capri, Amalfi, and Pompeii then choose this, I really liked their croissant on breakfast anyway :) Probably this hotel looks so nice during it's prime.
Poor airconditioning but works somehow, old hotel.
location near to train and buses station, restaurants, cafes and closed to downtown stores,
people saling fake stuff around the area.
Food was ok
Dirty, pluming bad either cold water or hot water
The 'potential' it holds to be a good 3* hotel - if cleaned to normal standards and a few simple changes.
That it does not meet the reliable Bkg.com standards on which your clients rely. Front view: metro under construction. Busy bus station. Back view: high buildings - noisy till late evening. Lobby could be more comfortably furnished. Elevators updated for safety. Staff polite but sadly disgruntled - poor working conditions/pay?
It was very sketchy. Wouldn't recommend staying here.
very old hotel, bathroom was nasty.breakfast is very poor.Never go to this place with kids. area around is very sad, many immigrants, black markets, etc. after sunset it is dangerous to walk around.
near the Train Station and transportation
the hotel is old and the staff did not really make you feel welcome. They also attempted to pass on a small room for 2 persons whereas my confirmed reservation was for a LARGE room. Our 2 rooms were one floor apart whereas we wanted to be near each other as we are family.
Close to main train station & subway Quiet during night (no noise from street) for rooms located on internal yard Old style hotel (vintage) Spacious bathroom
Not in the historical/touristical area Poor sound isolation against noise in corridor Old style hotel (outdated fournitures and TV set)
I think only the breakfast was good. good place only for sleep at nights. very close too station and metro.
The behavior of staffs was very impolite except the ones in breakfast Hall. there were 3 guys as the receptions and only one of them was normal, others were behaving rude and insolent. the location of hotel is very bad, don't turn right when you get out of there because the streets are terrible!!!! We got a quadrature room but it was a double one which they added 2 other beds in the worst way they could. Also in our offer internet was free but they said you should pay, and after some discussion they gave us 2 hours free accounts!!!!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The area is a bit rough, but convenient for the station and taxis to the airport.
I was given a very sub-standard single room, more like a cell really. There was no glass for water. It was very depressing. The hotel obviously needs to be renovated and the interior courtyard is ruinous. Next time I'm in Naples even for one night and I'll look for a better class hotel and pay more. What can one expect for 64 euros?
Close proximity to both railway stations
Loose carpet on stairs due to unattached stair rods; did fall on one occasion when lift not working due to door not being closed on lower floor. Filthy stair carpet on first floor. Bathroom door hinge hanging off. Extensive mould in bathroom, even worse in upgraded room. Toilet cistern sprayed into room when filling. Bedspread badly stained. Curtains did not meet due to rollers being jammed. Hotel internet never working due to "Telephone fault". Upgraded to "penthouse suite" after apparent forced entry of room and associated theft but mould even worse and balcony weed infested.
