Excellent location for a short city trip in Venice, with all bus stations just steps away from the hotel. Near by bars and restaurants are nice. The staff is nice and willing to help with all information you need. It is probably among the best deals that you can find on the net if you are looking for a low price - good location - decent accommodation. This hotel needs to be renovated asap. The old wooden boards placed on the lower half of the walls mid be nice before 20-30 years but now they look dirty. If you plan to stay here out of the summer period bring some slippers with you so you can walk on the cold ceramic tiles which are placed all over the room and the bath. The bathroom had no bathtub or shower cabin, only a sink in the floor and some pvc curtains, so be careful with the water it may flооd the room.

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant. Our quadruple room was clean and comfortable. The bus stop for Venice is across the street and I recommend that bus tickets are bought at the small newsagency next to the entrance of the hotel as they are a lot cheaper. Actually throughout Italy and Croatia it is cheaper to purchase tickets at newstands rather than from the bus driver. Our gps took us past the hotel and into a complex further down with a boom gate. It was frustrating to return to the hotel, due to all the one way streets. In hindsight we should have familiarised ourselves better with the location on street view rather than rely upon a gps. The only down side to our room was that the bathroom tap was broken but we managed. We didn't try the tv, so can't comment about availability of channels. I didn't sleep well once the traffic began- and it was early and noisy. Parking isn't on site. Its about a 8-10 minute walk away and is in a complex called 'garageeuropa' Mestre which you can google to see the location (totally recommend). Reception told us that it was 10 euro a day, but the complex also took an extra 2 euro per day for tax. The hotel does not have a drop of point outside for people travelling by car to unload. Luckily there was no traffic on the side street when we unloaded and this made it stress free. When we left, we were lucky to find a vacant parking bay that was reserved for the customers of a nearby bank opposite (close to the post office). We left our older children with the luggage in the foyer as the parking complex is too far to travel with luggage. I feel that a parking bay should be created directly infront of the hotel for people travelling with a car for drop off and pickup.

We enjoyed the fact that the Hotel is on the bus route to Venice and the Marco Polo Airport! Disappointed that the coffee/chocolate etc machine was not working and there was nowhere to get a cup of coffee when we got home at night. We could not understand why we had to pay for Wi-Fi? Generally the Internet is part of the service one pays for in hotels. We had previously stayed in a B&B in Rome, where the Wi-Fi was free and then on to 2Star Hotel in Florence, where we were given a code an the service was again free. The rates being asked were very high & then over the period we were in the hotel the internet was down!

- location - price - we got a smoking room first, but I asked the staff to change it and they did, immediately with an apology and without further discussions with me and the second room was fine - breakfast: we were allowed only to the room with sweet breakfast and we were told that we would have to pay 5 EUR to get scrumbled eggs & bacon etc that was in the second breakfast room... that was a bad surprise, noone informed us about this fact and the lady at the door between those two rooms was really strict, like a policemen, watching if people from sweet room are not entering to the other room... This was not mentioned on the reservation confirmation nor the hotel staff told us upon check-in...

Hotel well connected to public transportation. Rooms are a little bit tired and need some restyling. Staff is correct but not helpful (they seem to be tired of tourists). Breakfast is really basic with only sweet things like industrial cakes and biscuits.

I liked that it was very easy to catch a bus into Venice, and it was certainly a lot cheaper than many of the places we looked at in Venice. I do wish we had taken more advantage of the cheaper restaurants in Mestre, since we unfortunately ended up eating in Venice most nights, which definitely got expensive! Also, staying in Mestre rather than Venice made it really easy to go running, and there was a cute local market on Friday. It was inconvenient to stop back at the Hotel for a bit during the day in Venice, and there wasn't very much to do in Mestre itself. Also, the breakfast was absolutely terrible.

Good value for money, especially to those who do not want to spend a lot money on the hotel as they would be all the time enjoying the place. It is a charming place and has a kind of like restaurant/pub nearby. Which serves very good Spritz (a must for those who ever had it) Friendly & very helpful staff. Perfect location: bus stop only a few metres away. Simply supermarket nearly in front of the hotel. Le Barche shopping complex also near the hotel. Also for shopping purposes there are also Pull and ear and mango nearby and in Le Barche H&M and the coin. Lots of restaurants and pizzerias nearby. Fratteli di Bufala on of the best pizzerias offering also other food like meat near Le Barche. Staff also gave us the numbers of the buses and from where they pass. Clean place: towels where changed daily. Satisfactory Breakfast, although it had lots of sweets but we didn't mind. As soon as one thing finishes the staff would come in and bring in something new. they serve biscuits, a lot of different cakes, plasmon like bisuits and also freash bread with jam, honey and so on. They have quite a big range of cakes. They also offer organce juice, water, and a coffe machine and teas.

Location, cleaness, big rooms. The breakfast was very poor!!! There were only sweet things served, and no cheese, no salami, no tomatos or other salats, that are usually served in every hotel in Italy for breakfast.

The location is perfect, bus and train stations are so close you have access to the whole region. The room was clean and big, there was no noise from the outside. The stuff was kind and helped us with directions and other useful information. I didn't like the breakfast. It was same everyday and it was compiled from sweet biscuits, no fruit nor cereals. Also, I didn't like that the hotel did not release the deposit that was taken before the arrival, so you should know that they will keep your money for max 30 days from the date they charge your credit card.

The only positive thing about this hotel is its location - bus stops are close to the hotel and parking garage (for fee) is not very far.. The hotel was neglected. Very neglected. Dirty and old carpets, dirty walls. Not a nice view. BUT: our room was full of bugs (I guess it were cockroaches). We even bought an insecticide... I think it was the worst hotel I stayed in.

“Really comfortable and well furnished rooms. Superb bathroom. Loved every minute of our stay in this hotel. Amazing value for money & a good sumptuous buffet breakfast was part of the tariff. The bus stop is bang in front of the hotel & the route 4L has very good frequency & will take you to the heart of Venice in 15mins. Mestre station is 10mins away by walk. We liked it so much that we ended up staying there an extra night! Highly recommended.” Subrat, Evry |
