Hotel Centrale is located in Venezia Mestre, only 22 yards from the bus stop to Venezia. All rooms come with private bathroom and satellite TV. Piazza Ferretto the main shopping and pedestrian area of Mestre is located just 55 yards from the main entrance of the Centrale. The main bus station is 220 yards away. Every Wednesday and Friday morning there is a market just around the corner. One of the best restaurants in town is a 5 minute walk away. Hotel Rooms: 99

Excellent location for a short city trip in Venice, with all bus stations just steps away from the hotel. Near by bars and restaurants are nice. The staff is nice and willing to help with all information you need. It is probably among the best deals that you can find on the net if you are looking for a low price - good location - decent accommodation. This hotel needs to be renovated asap. The old wooden boards placed on the lower half of the walls mid be nice before 20-30 years but now they look dirty. If you plan to stay here out of the summer period bring some slippers with you so you can walk on the cold ceramic tiles which are placed all over the room and the bath. The bathroom had no bathtub or shower cabin, only a sink in the floor and some pvc curtains, so be careful with the water it may flооd the room.

The location is perfect, bus and train stations are so close you have access to the whole region. The room was clean and big, there was no noise from the outside. The stuff was kind and helped us with directions and other useful information. I didn't like the breakfast. It was same everyday and it was compiled from sweet biscuits, no fruit nor cereals. Also, I didn't like that the hotel did not release the deposit that was taken before the arrival, so you should know that they will keep your money for max 30 days from the date they charge your credit card.

The only positive thing about this hotel is its location - bus stops are close to the hotel and parking garage (for fee) is not very far.. The hotel was neglected. Very neglected. Dirty and old carpets, dirty walls. Not a nice view. BUT: our room was full of bugs (I guess it were cockroaches). We even bought an insecticide... I think it was the worst hotel I stayed in.

In Mestre down town if you like Mestre Poor facility for a 3 star hotel. Parking is a problem. If you drive much better off staying outside the city for peace. Breakfast is worse than "continental", it is a joke for a nation that likes to eat.

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant. Our quadruple room was clean and comfortable. The bus stop for Venice is across the street and I recommend that bus tickets are bought at the small newsagency next to the entrance of the hotel as they are a lot cheaper. Actually throughout Italy and Croatia it is cheaper to purchase tickets at newstands rather than from the bus driver. Our gps took us past the hotel and into a complex further down with a boom gate. It was frustrating to return to the hotel, due to all the one way streets. In hindsight we should have familiarised ourselves better with the location on street view rather than rely upon a gps. The only down side to our room was that the bathroom tap was broken but we managed. We didn't try the tv, so can't comment about availability of channels. I didn't sleep well once the traffic began- and it was early and noisy. Parking isn't on site. Its about a 8-10 minute walk away and is in a complex called 'garageeuropa' Mestre which you can google to see the location (totally recommend). Reception told us that it was 10 euro a day, but the complex also took an extra 2 euro per day for tax. The hotel does not have a drop of point outside for people travelling by car to unload. Luckily there was no traffic on the side street when we unloaded and this made it stress free. When we left, we were lucky to find a vacant parking bay that was reserved for the customers of a nearby bank opposite (close to the post office). We left our older children with the luggage in the foyer as the parking complex is too far to travel with luggage. I feel that a parking bay should be created directly infront of the hotel for people travelling with a car for drop off and pickup.

Great location for travelling into Venice. Bus every 5 minutes and the bus stop just across the road (€2.60 return). Journey time 15 mins. Also buses to the airport every 25 minutes at a cost of €1.30.

The hotel was pleasant - breakfast was basic but good. There are bus stops very close to the hotel. The buses take you to Venice, to Marco Polo Airport and to the Railway Station in a short time which proved very convenient. It is also close to the city centre/shopping mall. We also found a couple of good restaurants within walking distance which were much better and cheaper than in Venice. Worth staying at!

Grubby carpets in corridors breakfast is very minimal and not worth paying extra for. Location is good and very near a supermarket. Hotel in general is a little tired but staff were helpful and was a good base for one night before catching our cruise when accommodation in Venice was at a premium. Bathroom, corridors and room decor a bit tired.

Very nice room, very clean, great staff, very helpful. Despite being just next to a bus stop to and from Venice, the room was quiet and we had a couple nice nights of sleep. The beds were large and comfortable. As an example of the helpfulness of the staff, we arrived early (10h30) and asked if we could leave our stuff and check in later, as we wanted to leave for Venice; the receptionist offered to make the check in immediately, as our room was already free, even if it was way before the regular check-in time.

Decent location and I guess that is the reason of its very existence. Everything else is not worth mentioning. The staff, the toilet, the breakfast........everything is pathetic. I do not want to waste time reviewing

Good value for money, especially to those who do not want to spend a lot money on the hotel as they would be all the time enjoying the place. It is a charming place and has a kind of like restaurant/pub nearby. Which serves very good Spritz (a must for those who ever had it) Friendly & very helpful staff. Perfect location: bus stop only a few metres away. Simply supermarket nearly in front of the hotel. Le Barche shopping complex also near the hotel. Also for shopping purposes there are also Pull and ear and mango nearby and in Le Barche H&M and the coin. Lots of restaurants and pizzerias nearby. Fratteli di Bufala on of the best pizzerias offering also other food like meat near Le Barche. Staff also gave us the numbers of the buses and from where they pass. Clean place: towels where changed daily. Satisfactory Breakfast, although it had lots of sweets but we didn't mind. As soon as one thing finishes the staff would come in and bring in something new. they serve biscuits, a lot of different cakes, plasmon like bisuits and also freash bread with jam, honey and so on. They have quite a big range of cakes. They also offer organce juice, water, and a coffe machine and teas.

Location, cleaness, big rooms. The breakfast was very poor!!! There were only sweet things served, and no cheese, no salami, no tomatos or other salats, that are usually served in every hotel in Italy for breakfast.

“Hotel Cris is within walking distance of Venezia Mestre railway station, which made it convenient for us. Staff explained about how to catch a bus into Venice and that worked out well. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, our room was air-conditioned and the buffet breakfast was excellent. By booking well in advance on booking.com we obtained an excellent rate for the room. ” Graeme, Bonny Hills |
