Set in a restored 17th-century building, Hotel Charleston is next to Spoleto's Modern and Contemporary Arts Museum. Its elegant, individually-decorated rooms feature a modern design. Rooms at the Charleston come with exposed wooden beams on the ceilings, and each is equipped with a minibar, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Suites offers a 4-poster bed or windows on 3 of the walls. A buffet breakfast is available each morning, and is served out on the terrace in warm weather. In the evening, you can enjoy a fine wine in the hotel's refined bar. The property has retained many of its original features, including an antique fireplace, always lit during winter. A comfortable, well-run hotel, which we enjoyed staying in. We had a lovely room, with small balcony. Although near one of the main roads into Spoleto, it was quiet at night. The hotel is right in the old city of Spoleto, a fascinating and lovely old city, with plenty of sights to visit, plus beautiful mountain walks easily accessible from the hotel. The staff were friendy and helpful, the breakfast good and the room comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The shower could do with improving - water pressure low.

Everything was really good. Friendly & helpful staffs. My room was a single but it had a double bed. Wifi worked in lobby only. Everything was very clean.

A nice hotel with very friendly staff – very good for long stays. My room was cozy, with a comfortable bed and a light but warm blanket. It had a newly-renovated bathroom with a nice comfortable shower cabin. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. The train station is 25 minutes away on foot. The breakfast was too sweet for my taste. There was no real cheese, only processed cheese. There is no sound-proofing: you can hear your neighbors talking.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Spoleto with everything within walking distance. The hotel has been recently refurbished, our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean; king-size bed quite good and bedlinen and towels of good quality. Breakfast was good and mainly sweet oriented with plenty of brioches and pastry (but this is Italy after all!), but cereal, fruit and yoghurt were always present. Staff always kind and ready to help. Very recommended hotel. Not really a complaint, but it would be nice to have more choice at breakfast, I.E. more savoury food, though they also had bread and prosciutto or salame and cheese. It was ok for me, but my other half (British) missed his scrambled eggs and bacon!

The location is quite convenient. The room was comfortable...but please remember this is Italy! The staff was extremely friendly. This is the perfect hotel for anyone who is either passing through Rome on the way to the airport or who is using it as a site-seeing destination in Rome. The bar on the corner has really excellent coffee. There was one staff member who was not from Italy and insisted on speaking to me in English. The problem was that his English was harder to understand than his Italian. But everyone was so very friendly and helpful, I did not mind.

The location was excellent and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening under the grapevine covered side garden area. The staff were helpful with maps and information. The lack of cnn and bbc news coverage on T.V. The doonas were too heavy and no alternative with temperatures in the high 20s.

The rooms were large and great decor. It was central and easy to walk to restaurants and sites. It had a bar in the lounge with a fireplace near reception. In summer one can have breakfast on the terrace, or a drink in the afternoon. Can recommend and would stay there again.

Íbamos de paso pero igualmente me interesó buscar un hotel confortable, bien ubicado, con buen servicio y una buena relación precio-confort. Realmente reúne todas esas condiciones. El cuarto era grande, (tal vez no todos sean así) muy cómodamente instalado a la vez que muy simpático y de buen gusto , con excelente cama y almohadas, ropa de cama y baño. Para nosotros cosa importante! TODO funcionaba perfecto. El desayuno excelente, completo y riquísimo. Muy amable la gente que nos sugirió cómo hacer para conocer Spoleto y disfrutar el lugar! LO RECOMENDAMOS!!! fue remodelado a nuevo en el 2011 y eso se nota.

Camera recentemente ristrutturata e riarredata. Ottima posizione. Possibilità di garage dell'Hotel. La porta di comunicazione col corridoio comune non è in alcun modo insonorizzata. L'asta e il reggi doccino della doccia erano rotti (e si vedeva non da poco) cosicchè si doveva tenere il doccino in mano.

Ett välbeläget mindre familjehotell med utmärkt service och det där lilla extra som gör att vistelsen blir speciell och minnesvärd! Vi reste som grupp med tonåringar och skulle med ett mycket tidigt tåg till Rom. Då dukade de upp en fantastisk frukostbuffe med nybryggt kaffe och nybakat bröd - kl 04 på morgonen! Outstanding!
