We found Angelo to be most helpful. He was there for us and helped us make calls, find other locations, etc. The breakfast folks were very nice. The place was clean and wonderfully air-conditioned. Also, it was great having free access to the internet. That was wonderfully special and I thank you. Ethel and Alan Brandt We were disappointed that there was a limited breakfast. Other hotels we stayed in had yogurt and fruit. The croissants were delicious, but I missed the yogurt and fruit. The location was difficult to find at first. Our taxi left us off by a sign on another block and we had to haul our suitcases up the hill and steps. Each day, after going around Rome all day, it was difficult climbing the hills and steps back to the hotel.

Bathroom small but nice. Bed comfortable. Typical city hotel with small rooms. Basic breakfast of two cereals, croissants and small round rolls, cheese and ham.

Close to attractions but hard to find, receptionist spoke good English, decent service. Wifi wasn't free but you could use the lobby computer for free, breakfast was poor in selection and quality, shower water pressure and temperature control was bad. The main street near the hotel (via Cavour) is pretty bad for food and shops as they are expensive, rude and bad food, try going a few streets away for better value and service.

Price and location, breakfast, rooftop view. They charged me for internet even though I argued that I booked online where it said internet was free. Also, the radiator didn't work so I got cold. I turned the knob the correct direction as indicated, but it only got barely warm. Same for the radiator in the bathroom.

The staff was helpful, took our bags to the room and noticed there was a problem with the tv. They had the problem fixed within minutes The hotel was just a 10 minute walk from the Colosseum, and a 2 minute walk from the ti, bus stop, and taxi stand. Our room was quite with a nice courtyard view, and the rooftop courtyard was wonderful. We had dinner at 2 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and the food was great. We would choose this hotel again.

I enjoyed our stay. The train station was a 15 min. Walk, and the colosseum was a 10 min. Walk. Very good location for shopping, dining, and the Colosseum/Forum, and the Capitol museum.

The reception desk staff were particularly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Very useful to be able to leave our luggage before checking in and also on the last day after checking out. Free internet access and able to use the printer to print out boarding cards on the last day. The lift is a slight problem.

Great hotel. Rooms were very nice. Good a/C. Nice big bathroom. Decent breakfast. You could get wifi in your room but you had to pay for it. Location;Everything in Rome is very spread out, with that said the location was pretty good. Nice quiet street, with shops and restaurant close by. No complaints!

very good location - close to metro and walking distance from Colosseum and other downtown spots. situated in a calm street. ideal for relaxation as well. given the price level of hotels of the same category for this particular weekend - it was a good value for money, otherwise i would say a bit too much for a 3 star hotel. breakfast relatively good - for a tow-day stay. staff a bit noisy during the breakfast time rushing up and down overre-arranging cutlery and table cloths all the time for the next morning while people were having breakfast and thus not providing a calm atmosphere to eat. the person at the reception was not very welcoming upon arrival

The bathroom/shower was very large for a European hotel and the beds were very comfortable. The patio on the roof was beautiful but we had no time to enjoy it while there. The window has optional shutters that make the room extemely dark for great sleeping and access to cnn and bbc for English news from home when you want it. The hotel was very clean and the a/c was great. Near the Colosseum and the Termini bus/train station. Tiny elevator and very slow but again this is Europe so no bog deal. I would recommend highly. The staff was hit and miss as far as being helpful, The morning front desk man spent quite a lot of time trying to help must get to a very remote village.

Location is close to main Rome train station (Termini) and tourist sites such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum - but some distance from St Peters and the Vatican. Staff very friendly and helpful - e.g. kitchen staff made up some panini (bread rolls with ham and cheese) for us one morning when we had to go out extremely early before the breakfast room was due to open. Our room was one of two that each have a private terrace - very relaxing, and also convenient for drying washing. Major shopping streets are not close to the hotel. Breakfast is OK if you are expecting a simple continental breakfast as we were, but those expecting a USA/UK breakfast may be disappointed.

The hotel is well situated for travellers wishing to visit the main tourist attractions in Rome. 10 minutes walk from Roma Termini (even with bags / luggage). Lovely rooftop terrace with view of Colosseum, Forum & St Peters. Also own private terrace / balcony. Main entrance by a rather shabby back street. Somewhat dated (but clean) decor and soft furnishings in room.

Good location. Short walk to a Metro Station and the main train terminal. Rooms and bathroom compact but clean. Has a lift. The staff could have been more helpful and shared information more freely. No info given upon check in re breakfast times / place or any of the services provided. When asking for info clear answers were sometimes hard to come by!

The location is great, and the staff friendly. The hotel/room was spotless. The roof terrace is very pretty and offers great views of the city. Our room was on the 6th floor, so had lovely views from the window. Check in/check out was very quick/convenient. The room and bathroom had a traditional feel/decor, but was in great condition (recently refurbished perhaps). The room was quite small, but we had ample space for the two of us. There is just one lift so we mostly used the stairs. The breakfast room was often quite busy, so it was hard to get a table. The breakfast was basic, but satisfactory.

“My girlfriend and I have been traveling around Europe for over a month staying in 3-4 star hotels and we found Aurelius to be a champion among the hotels. The staff was receptive affluent in english and very informative "especially Alex" one of the front desk men. its conveniently located near one of the last stops on the train. The Spa was Amazing! and free!” Brent, Seattle |
