Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Good value overall.

Internet ! Internet was only working for about 10-20 seconds each time we tried to use it...

Friendly staff and not too far away from city centre. Good breakfast and parking.

Internet connection poor. Old feeling to the hotel, would need some freshing up. There's a building site opposite the hotel that will probably be going on for quite a while.

i personally want to thanks the staffs there for providing me an excellence service with my short stay, it makes me feel like living with a family, i strongly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. well done hotel como

The room is surely large.

It is a 4 stars hotel but as I see it could be no more than 3 stars. Everything is not reliable enough. Staff do not speak good English. No kettle in the room. At the end of March there is still cold but the heat does not work well, and the air condition is centred-controlled and can not adjust. At the last day the quilt core and cover are separated, that`s wierd.

We had a great stay. The hotel was very comfortable and well located.

The temperature in the room was too warm and there was no way to adjust it.

The smell of mold emanated from the bathroom, probably due to inadequate ventilation.

Reasonably good location south of the old town, but quite a walk from the train station. The breakfast was good, lots of options, and the rooms are spacious. The furniture is old but functional, while the bathroom was very new and clean. The balcony is nice, also the roof terrace and pool are good for relaxing (although it was too cold for swimming). There is a large supermarket next door that opens also on Sundays.

Too expensive for what we got. The receptionists were unfriendly (except one, on our day of arrival). The room smelled funny. The coffee at the breakfast was very bad. The hotel was sufficient for one night but I don't recommend a longer stay.

The room's furniture was bit old and can benefit of an upgrade. Building site in progress next door and would be problematic for late sleepers like myself.

I will never repeat a Hotel Como experience - the receptionist made the arrival an uncomfortable experience which continued throughout our stay: - there was confusing as when we booked as the web did not record a booking, so we re-tried. When we arrived for a twin room, she said we were a no show???? and should pay for the other room. When I endevoured to explain what I thought had happened, she was just rude. Suggest a training programme on Customer focus. - her bad manners continued when we asked for a map. She could not hand it to me, nor explain the route to the ferry. - Not a welcoming or helpful hotel. - Room service timing does not accomodate late arrivals.

No air conditioning but an open window was difficult. Due to the moscotos and the new building obstruction in front of the hotel it was noisy from 6am onwards we did not find the rest we were looking for.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. We were only staying for two nights and wanted to get a flavour of the area. They were pleased to provide a map of the lake itself - who else thinks it looks like a drunk Marge Simpson? - and the area and give us pointers on the boats, buses and funicular. The room was good and the breakfast had a good range of choices. WiFi was free and the service good throughout the hotel. Parking was free and onsite.

They used disgusting fake orange juice at breakfast. There is no excuse for that!

The staff were excellent. They were accommodating and extremely helpful with providing information on train, bus, and taxi transport, and the best ways of getting to where we wanted to go. They were also especially friendly and warm, which made us all feel very welcome and comfortable for the week we stayed there. The pool on the roof is wonderful, surrounded by lounge chairs, and there is also a bar up there with very comfortable lounge chairs where we were able to meet up with other people for drinks and just to have conversation and relax.... The views of the mountains are lovely. Additionally, there is a good supermarket just around the block, and the train station 'Como Borghi' is 10-15 minutes' walk even with our luggage (two long blocks). We were able to arrive at this station (rather than the further Como Stazione San Giovanni) from Milan Linate airport by way of the Milan Cadorna station, and to return from this station to the Malpensa airport by taking the train to Saronno and connecting there to the Malpensa Express. There are also some excellent restaurants within 10-15 minutes' walking, especially a Mexican restaurant and a pizzeria/restaurant next to a church, called Pizzeria Caverna. This was absolutely fabulous, and also cheap, and not touristy at all.

It is a bit of a walk from the city center and from the lake (20-30 minutes with my dad, who again is 82). This is not a problem as long as you are aware of it before booking, and not expecting to have views onto the lake from the hotel (which you don't have). With our being there in August, many shops on the hotel's street were closed for holiday, but this is not the hotel's fault.

Within walking distance to the old town of Como. The second room that we were moved to was fresh an clean.

Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 serious issues; there was major construction/building work next door that was extremelly noisey and a visible eyesaw; our initial room had a pungent smell of poor drains and dampness, whilst the air seemed very stale, the room was dark and the air conditioning didn't work. Reception sent a very un-helpful man to inspect the problem, after quite some waiting we were eventually moved. It was impossible to relax in the day around the pool as there was constant building work right next door, with very loud banging. Booking.com did not inform us of this and I am frankly disgusted.

Generally a very good around hotel. Friendly staff and value for money. I would and probably will stay there again.

On a hot summers day in Como there is nothing better than jumping into an outdoor pool and drinking an Aperol Sprits. This hotel allows that and much more. Travelling with two very small children the facilities were great and the rooms were very large. It is a bit of a trek into town (15-20min) but worth it after all the gelato you eat! The hotel gave us some great recommendation for dinner and were always helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The Internet access is quite slow - not recommended for those who need to work.

The rooftop pool and restaurant where great to enjoy on a hot day and the room was large and comfortable.

The menu for the restaurant needs to be a bit more children friendly- a pizza would not hurt. They need to be able to make a decent cappuccino- right now you get only a straight espresso or a cafe au lait.

The price was ok and the breakfast was excellent. The location was a bit disappointing initially (not the greatest part of town) but actually it was only a few minutes walk from Como old town which is lovely with plenty of cafes shops bars and eating places. Most staff very pleasant - a minority (1) need a kick up the aXXe.

See "likes"above. Initially the location. The bathroom seemed a bit run down and, frankly, a bit grubby. Needed a make over or at least a good clean. My room had no view as such but as I spent little time there it didn't matter. Ask for an upper floor, outward facing, room if you need/want a view. I guess that you get what you pay for and the place is ok. I would stay again. It is very much a business user hotel in my opinion - no real comfort except the alcohol at the bar!
