Very nice little hotel with lovely restaurant & pool area. Well-located to train station and within walking distance to all the sights in central Florence.

Location is excellent, v v near city centre. Pretty area of town. Lots or nearby bars and restaurants. Good selection of shoe shops nearby. Staff also excellent. Our room was quite austere, but this is part of the charm of a former convent. Fire alarm went off repeatedly in middle of night on 2 separate nights - electrical fault but still a massive nuisance. Odd to have a double bed that is actually 3 beds pushed together - but I understand this is a cultural thing here.

Almost all staff were rude and not helpful. City tax was 4 Euro per person per night, which was the highest of the hotels we had stayed in the 5 cities including Venice in France and Italy.

Staff friendly, breakfast good Do not stay room was unclean - cobwebs, dirty floor. Bed rock hard. How is this establishment a 4 star hotel? Serious need of updating and general hygiene.

Price and location. They tried to change our room into one without balcony even though I had specified before arriving my choice. the reception staff was uninformed about the outlets around the area and how to get there. The breakfast was poor. but given the price we didnt mind. There are 2 small food markets close by when you can buy more stuff.

The location of the hotel is convenient to access to tourist places in the city, including the very good railways station. The hotel needs to be renovated to give a fresh look as a whole. The room where we stayed has a leak from the airconditioning which makes the wall next to the door constant wet.

Great central location few minutes walk from key attractions and main shopping area, two minutes from the main rail station, great room, nice friendly staff, garden area with pool in the middle of the city, perfect rooftop terrace with excellent view of the whole of Florence, very large room over two floors (115) and a private balcony, two bathrooms and a nice updated quality. We will certainly be using it again! Florece driving is difficult, but this is a problem for all central hotels and not just this one. Closest garage was 27 euro pr day. City tax 4 euro pr person pr day is an annoying cash-only payment on the last day, but again it's the same all over Florence...

Good hotel, good value and a great location - walking distance from all the sights. Having a pool was great, providing a quiet relaxing area sheltered from the noise of the city. Only thing needed is a bit of redecoration.

Ideal location for business and tourism in Florence. The room was spacious (booked a single but moved to a larger room at no extra cost), clean and quiet. Reception was friendly and eager to assist. Breakfast was poor in both quality and variety. Bathroom was small (probably expected considering the age of the building), but very clean. Free internet access would have been most welcome.

Palazzo Niccolini Al Duomo
Palazzo Niccolini Al Duomo is one of Florence's most exclusive and refined establishments. As the name suggests, it is right by the Duomo Cathedral.
