Great location close to station
Facilities are all a bit dated.
perfect location for business travel LARGE room even for solo travelers. great view with balcony very nice bathroom staff was exceptionally kind and attentive have stayed here before and it was just as pleasant a stay has a roof garden but difficult to access on a former stay i was given a robe and slippers, nice ammenity
machine coffee when real coffee machine was available when I booked the hotel with your company the price went UP BEFORE my booking was confirmed roof deck was difficult to access via stairs
Staff was extremely helpful. and patient!
Liked the free wifi which worked great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect right off Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Duplex room with great space for 3 kids. Good big bathrooms.
Very noisy room. Kids who usually sleep heavily even complained about the noise. From outside hotel, inside hotel, aircon that started up in the middle of the night for no reason..... Breakfast cld have been better.... not really 4 star quality.
Location ,bed linen,cleanliness of bathrooms.
Breakfast food terrible, hard rolls.pool area and pool dirty old and a health hazard.bedroom was on two levels with a steel staircase that shook.walls decorarated in what looked like mud.moscitos.dark dingy room.
Booked this hotel at the last minute, chose it as the best of the remaining choices. Loved the loft-type arrangement of the room, with bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs. Room overlooked the fountain, which made a pleasant background sound for sleeping. Roof bar provided spectacular view of the sunset. Staff even opened it specially for us so my husband could get a photo of the sunrise over the Duomo.
Choice of rolls at breakfast was limited (but we had just come from Germany, so we were pretty spoiled when it comes to breads).
The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. They were very helpful with daily travel plans. Nice lobby, good breakfast. Spacious rooms.
Their AC was controlled by the front desk and you have to call them to adjust. Make sure to ask for a room with windows and not the enclosed balcony. I preferred the rooms with a garden view.
Good location to explore Florence. Very close to the train station for those that travel this way. Friendly staff. As such, good perks like the pool area and the roof bar. These were open but not used by anyone during our stay.
The interior of the hotel needs some attention. Our guess is that the current was put in in 1975. It is rather clean but worn and not adequate for a 4 star hotel. That includes the pool area. However, for those that would like to go back to their Hippie-days..... Another guess is that it is mainly used to accomodate groups for one or two nights. If one wants to stay longer it is below par.
Excellent location within short walking distance of all the sights. Comfortable firm bed. Spectacular view from roof terrace/bar. Pleasant friendly staff. Room serviced every day.
The decor in the hotel is very dated and is looking quite shabby in places. The bathroom looked the part and was very clean but the overbath shower was positioned too low on the wall and the showerscreen/ bath was too narrow which meant it was impossible to shower without crouching down. My shoulders were too wide for the bath so the screen opened out flooding the bathroom - on each occasion. -which may explain the overall musty smell that pervades the hotel. There seems to be a lot of mosquitos around in the garden and in the hotel. Even with the windows closed I was mainly bitten overnight whilst in bed. The air conditioning is controlled by reception whose default position is to turn it off. You need to phone them to put it back on again. I saw nobody using the garden or pool which was not surprising. The garden furniture and patio areas are all a bit tired and not really inviting. The breakfast was adequate in content, but was served in a very tired, dingy, room with no air con and could be improved vastly. I didn't eat dinner here. At around £250/ night I feel it was significantly overpriced and did not meet my expectations. I regret booking it .
Location to train station, restaurants and bus tours
location pool - great in summer after days touring plenty of room in junior suite and lovely balcony/outlook staff very helpful
Location was really good. Facilities: pool, rooftop bar. Value for money
Pool is in the shade for quite a bit of day.
Spacious room and shower room. Friendly staff. Lovely garden and great to have a pool.
Breakfast ok but could have been better. Rooftop bar opening limited so did not see it.
We loved the fact that the hotel was very close to the train station and it was also very close to all the main attractions we wanted to see.
what I didnt like was that I couldnt control the airconditioning. We had to call downstairs for them to open and close the airconditionally.
Central position, staff, terace
Very difficult to get with car because many one-way streets and "ZTL" (zone traffico limitato)
Spacious rooms, close to railway station, swimming pool, hearty breakfast
Location, comfort, breakfast, pool
When booking hotels we like to find rooms that provide a bit of separation between the adults and children. The two story rooms provided that and were very spacious. The bathrooms were newly remodeled and comfortable. It was great that they provided breakfast, but it wasn't the most appetizing. The pool was a great treat for the kids. And the location is ideal. Very close to everything we wanted to see.
The breakfast food was not very appetizing. Our room had a bit of a musty smell. It went away when we opened the windows for a bit.
Cordiality and professionalism of staff, great location, rooms are big and comfortable
They need to do something about the smell in the hallways in the upper floors, smells really bad
Central location. The bedroom with the balcony onto the pool was lovely.
Breakfast was horrendous. Even though there were some tables outside, we were told to wait for a table inside to free up and then to split into 2 tables opposite side of the room or to share a small table. This happened both mornings. Breakfast itself was not a 4 * breakfast but more a youth hostel quality. We had one bedroom on the street side which is very noisy.
Swimming pool Balcony Central location The actual building is nice, very hecletic.
Staff are just about nice not helpful Terrace bar supposed to close at 8pm but closed at 7.40pm Rooms was a bit dark and not that clean. Things from previous visitors still on the floor (sweets, hair, etc); rooms didn't seem that clean.
Loved this hotel. Brilliant location, fabulous entrance hall, check in area and 'American' bar and very comfortable rooms. This hotel oozes (naturally) style - from another era and without unnecessary glitz. The roof top terrace beautiful. The photos are honest too, the pool area is as it looks on the photos - a little tired but clean, very usable and lovely after a day in town. We will, despite the breakfast (see below), return when we next visit Florence.
The only negative we experienced was the breakfast which was rather lack lustre and the coffee virtually undrinkable - from a machine and it just tasted burnt - which is disappointing in Italy but I am a bit of a coffee snob.

Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner
