The Hotel Lobby
The bathroom smells very bad. The shower is very poor! Very bad water preasure! Breakfast is extremely overpriced.
The food in the Terrazza restaurant was a litle bit diaspointed.
We loved the Danielli! The staff were very accommodating and upgraded us when they couldn't find the booking to begin with! They were very apologetic. Our view was spectacular over the water! Heaven!
The location, architecture and history of the hotel were fantastic.
The hotel restaurant was extremely overpriced for the quality of food and it was impossible to get concierge from the room phone.
The best bed I've ever have. Friendly staff. Nice restorante for breakfast on the roof with a beautiful view.
All was perfect
Could not eat in the Hotel as the restaurant was always fully booked. We should have been told to make dinner bookings when we booked the Hotel. Not Happy.
Wait for luggage to room- one hour and half!! Same wait for water taxi!!
- it is of course the best possible location of Venice - the history and architecture are amazing
- when you pay a certain price for a night, you don't expect to pay 15€/day for wifi, which is a basic service just like drinkable water in a bathroom - the reception's staff was nice and friendly, but the service wasn't really personnalized in the way you could expect from a real 5 stars palace. - the cleaning of our room was OK, although it mainly consisted in making the bed. For instance, our clothes of the day before were still lying on the ground. The windows drapes were still closed, etc.
Elegant, well located, historical, beautiful - spectacular.... I was worried our rooms would be disappointing because we were not in the main building but we were very pleased, Our three rooms were beautiful and had peak views of the canal and the roofs of Venice. Marco was very helpful to our family. Thank you. Seriously, this is one of the world's best - treat yourself.
Great location. Beds are comfortable. Feel like special guest.
Very bad restaurant upstairs, very expencive and food was really bad. I would never recommend to anybody. Too many tourists inside and around the hotel.
The reception was warm, and the staff are professional, not to mention the splendid location. The room was well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast and the view in the restaurant were wonderful. It has fulfilled my expectation and I shall certainly come again.
No free wifi.
Beautiful terrace area
Very busy touristy location Rooms have twin beds not doubles Very poor food at overpriced hotel restaurant Concierge queue Dated interiors
Beautiful main areas and room, very good location. You do feel the allure you expect.
Very slow incheck procedure (standing in line for more than 30 minutes), personnel somewhat arrogant, bathroom not up-to-date and bad wifi-connection in whole hotel. No dock station in room.
THE ORIGINAL 1400'S LOBBY AND MAIN BUILDING. tHE ROOF TOP RESTAURANT WITH THE BEST VIEW IN VENICE
The high level of noise from a nightclub until 1 AM One, very rude and unattentive waiter in the roof top restaurant....all other staff were excellent....He ruined a lunch time meal!
Location & security are excellent!
Wi-Fi at room can not connected even i want to pay € 15/ day for the service! So have to use free Wifi at lobby!
Beautiful setting and lovely buildings. Renaissance interiors are stunning.
No swimming pool
Location, history, relaxed atmosphere.
Touristy, not welcoming, much too expensive for what's on offer. Toilet did not work properly, neither did the TV. Room was ok, nothing special. Food ridiculously expensive. No free Wifi.
Beware - this is not a 5-star hotel and not worth the money. The property is worn and requires major renovations. The room was small and the bathroom was accessed by two steps up into a closet. The tub was extremely narrow so negotiating a shower was difficult. Guests have to turn the key into the concierge each time they leave the hotel. The concierge staff for the most part was rude and this constant contact was unsettling. Check-in procedure was nerve wracking. We heard the reception staff tell the cleaning staff to "take their time" in preparing our room, even though it was after check-in time. Therafter, we were told several times over a period of 2 hours that our room would be ready in "10 minutes". I wouldn't mind any of this if the hotel was not so very expensive. So again beware, this is not a 5-star hotel. Tip: The Gritti Palace is comparably priced and worlds better than the Danieli.
The location and there were some excellent staff Sadly as a rule those over 45 have a perfunctory manner that can cross into contempt
They lost our reservation. The hotel was overrun by tour groups The maître d' at breakfast last Saturday is unsuitable for a job at a top hotel Room service either let's the phone ring out or believe it or not they have a recorded message to say they are unavailable We have stayed at the Danieli and loved it but they have serious problems now To think we stayed 5 nights paying a big premium and were treated like this
Loved everything about this hotel
Wifi should be free
