Score from 52 reviews Wonderful
Fabulous views. Decent breakfast. very helpful and friendly staff.
Right on main road, so traffic noise a problem. Only walking route into town takes 15 mins along busy road.
We liked everything. Beautiful room / hotel. The best views. Towels changed every day. Bed made. Unexpected stop for us on a trip around Europe on motorcycle but the whole experience was 100% good.
Every room that was waterfront had a tremendous view - even the cheaper room in the back where my son stayed had a great view from the generous balcony. Parking was great too.
Our bathroom was super small but clean so I'm not complaining. The room was no-frills but priced accordingly.
The rooms have great views. Staff very helpful. Close to Amalfi.
Old world property - surroundings, decor and Staff... especially the staff
Shower size... it is the one thing that needs to be updated
Great view & location. Shuttle into town is nice.
The only thing bad to say is that there was no wifi throughout, which in this day & age, there should be. It was only available in the lobby, which is then loud & crowded.
Sadly we did not have a seaview, and apparently the seaview rooms were fully booked for the next 7 nights, as we could not upgrade.. Breakfast was good, can't see why others complain. The shuttle is good.
No wifi in the rooms, noisy air con. Walking back up the hill in the full sun! But if you don't take the bus I guess you shouldn't complain. It is not the hotels fault! Having to hunt around for info on trips, it was on the noticeboard, but not always clear to see. And we are not novice travellers, having spent a total of over 6 months in Europe in 2 trips, 2 months in Italy. No wifi in the rooms is not that great, only available in the foyer. Maybe it was OK a few years ago, but it needs to be improved now. For those staying in touch with family and friends at home this is important.
The view from the balcony on the 6th floor was worth the fee alone. The walkway to the elevator on ground floor was really old school and funky and the breakfast had a great variety of food and drink.
Distance from the town was a bit much, the shuttle service stops between 3pm and 6pm and the last one from the town is at 8.15 which is a not very helpful. Taxis cost €10-15 and its literally a 1 min drive to the town. Wifi only available in reception and the staff although friendly, are a bit slow.
Cheap and not bad location. Hotel has a shuttle that goes into town and to a restaurant. Much needed since, walking is to dangerous on the street out front.
Elevator was broken and walk was a bit far to our room. Not a big deal normally except when your child is tired/grumpy.
View from the balcony
Stayed in the villa, bathroom was across the corridor which was awkward. A Couple and their friends took over the villa for the last few nights. Their stuff was everywhere, I found the guy asleep naked with the door open, the place stank of weed and they made us feel like we were in their house.
Lovely view from our room. Generous size balcony.
Infrequent shuttle bus, the hotel doesn't do evening meals & we were able to get the hotel shuttle bus in to Amalfi for dinner but had to walk back as the last bus was at 8pm! The walk back in the dark partly on dangerous winding road with no pavement was unpleasant & dangerous. Very poor wifi coverage. Basic hotel facilities.
Very tasty bread for breakfast. Nice personal. Good breakfast. Good prices in bar. Nice terrase
Problems with wi-fi connection, sometimes we can not connect
Shuttle service of the hotel was useful.
Inside of the hotel and the rooms are too old furnished.
The location is close to the beach and 15 min walk to town - staff friendly, room quite large and quiet
No air conditioning in room, no wifi in room - just lobby - received shuttle program on last day ( would of been nice to receive at start of stay) and no late shuttle ( latest was 8pm) so you had to walk or bus up the hill- very sad bird in cage - set Miro FREE
Staff, very helpful. Parking available, at cost though.
Old property, needs a bit of sprucing. Since they are 1km from town, they should have more than just the 6 shuttles throughout the day.
The view was nice
location (it was a little bit far from the village), we had to pay for the parking in the hotel, there were ants in the room (and bed).
The room was spacious, we received a free upgrade from a double room w/o balcony & no sea view to a room with partial sea view and a big balcony with a table, 2 chairs and 2 sun beds. Free shuttle to city center from the hotel leaving in the morning and afternoon. next the hotel a big lemon orchard. The hotel is charming, nice and romantic decorated - they have a tea room at the first floor with nice old furniture. Big terrace upstairs where you can drink the coffee from breakfast. You don't need a room with sea view, the terrace it's all yours no matter what room you have.
The hotel was 1,5 km from city center and no beach around, you need to take the bus to get to any beach. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, you can serve only breakfast, but there are other hotels with restaurants around in less than 200 m.
Beautifull view from the balcony! Good location, very nice staff. Nice beach close by. A lot of activities that you can order direct in the hotel (boat trips to Capri etc)
View (From balcony of rooms on the front and the roof terrace). Breakfast, coffee, friendly staff and a peaceful nights sleep. Taxi service on request.
The walk back up from the centre, but there's a lot of walking everywhere on the Amalfi Coast and it keeps you fit! There is a taxi service from the hotel that you can request which is great. It would have been nice if the hotel had sent out detailed directions upon booking as we ended up getting the bus right to the last stop, when in actual fact we could have got off right outside the hotel. The hotel is on the left as you come on the bus from Sorrento but of course everyone is looking out to the right at the sea and the steep drops so we missed it. We ended up walking up the hill/steps with our bags because we didn't know about the taxi either. That was not fun.
room with terrace (it is definitely worth the little extra money over a room without terrace) the seaview is fantastic it is close to beach
breakfast no food other than breakfast wifi only in lobby (password changes every few hours, so you have to bother asking for a new one)
The hotel was in an excellent location, the terrace had amazing views, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a large selection of different foods according to tastes. The hotel was very clean, room was cleaned every day with clean towels.
The bar area at night had no staff other than reception and closed down quite early. Tea making facilities in the room would have been nice.
- big private terrace with deck chairs - nice view - close to the beach il lido degli artisti - walking distance from the city center - bar in the hotel - possible to take the breakfast in the room
- the bathroom that needs renovating (very small shower with a curtain that sticks to you)
- location, with extremely beatiful view - local beach just few (400 exactly) down from hotel with great beach restaurant
Stunning sea view and helpful staff
