Hotel Regina Cristina is a 2-minute walk from Capri's central Piazzetta square, the town's main shopping area, and close to the Certosa di San Giacomo monastery.
Score from 229 reviews Very good
Hotel Delfino offered everything as expected. Great staff, great food and just an overall great stay. We were very pleased with how easy it was to book our excursions through the hotel. The grounds were immaculate. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Location is number one. I would pick it over Amalfi Coast options. It was not in a busy town but away from everything. Yet close to Sorrento.
We voted this the best hotel view for any hotel we have ever stayed in... Staff were excellent & very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them... Food in the restaurant was very good, loved the breakfasts, & evening meals were great value & good quality... Very peaceful & relaxing location with its own private jetty for a trip by boat to Capri! We loved this Hotel and were constantly gobsmacked by the views... One of those Hotels that you are sad to leave....
Minor quibbles... The shower in the room was not the best... The swimming pool was a bit too cold but still nice... Quite a steep walk down to the pool area & two flights of steps to reach the sun loungers... Very steep steps thereafter to get to the jetty and sea area... Not for people who would have mobility issues as the Hotel is built into a cliff face...
Everything was excellent
We would appreciate the beds to be a little softer
The setting and view of the ocean and Island of Capri from our room was incredible. Loved the blackout shutters. Food in main dinning room was excellent as was the service. The dining experience at Ristorante Punta San Lorenzo with Luigi as our server was special and extraordinary. We will return. Also enjoyed the boat trip to Amalfi right from the hotel.
Excellent staff, couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly - you only had to ask and it was provided instantly. Superb location with "to die for" views of Capri and the sunset.
Booking.com have let us down here. We partly choose the hotel because the website said it was only 600m/2 mins walk to the centre. The hotel is actually a 10 minute drive from anywhere! Don't let this put you off - just be aware.
Location very private with green areas & flowers Nice pool Views from room of Isle of Capri magnificent Nice dining at open air restaurant by pool Shuttles to Sorrento if like
I loved the cleanliness, friendly staff, stunning location. The pool was wonderful and quiet. Wonderful breakfast, lots of choice. Really handy bus transport into sorrento. I highly recommend it!
Staff generally very helpful. On site free parking.
Very hard to drive to in my opinion.
A beautiful hotel in a stunningly beautiful location - perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. A lovely poolside restaurant, fresh fish, good wine, excellent service. Quiet room with a balcony overlooking the cliffs to the south and the sea to the west. Comfortable bed, great bathroom. Tasteful decor.
The dining room was a bit too brightly lit in the evening and a bit noisy with many hard surfaces. The food in the dining room was good but not quite up to the extremely high standard set by the rest of the hotel. Really very minor complaints, did not spoil the stay at all.
Wonderfully picturesque setting overlooking Capri; clean sea water swimming pools; prompt pool bar service; several free shuttle buses available each day to and from Sorrento; high standard of room cleanliness.
We were part of a large party at the hotel for our wedding at Piano di Sorrento. We were responsible for 27 guests staying at the hotel yet we never received any acknowledgment at all of our wedding. It seemed odd given the business we had put their way. The Maître'D was very put out when we asked if eleven of us (all residents) could be seated together for dinner. Only after a great deal of huffing and puffing did he arrange something - the restaurant wasn't even busy. And we still weren't all seated together!! Some of our party were less mobile than most. In fairness to the hotel they do say on their website that people with mobility problems may struggle with the amount of steps in the hotel but the fact that only the pool bar is open during the day and was inaccessible to them was a disappointment. Why the hotel bar is closed until 6pm is beyond me.
The view from pool , bar and breakfast room. Free shuttle bus to Sorrento. Good sized rooms. Good wifi in rooms. Great view of sunset from bar. Entertainment one evening. Helpful professional reception staff . Good pool area.
no phone access within building. A small thing, but there were no tissues provided. You need a car, or a driver, or join a tour to go anywhere as the hotel is quite isolated from any restaurants, sites, or food shops..
Location was perfect, amazing view, very useful free shuttle bus to Sorrento.
Bed was uncomfortable and very hard.
great location, generally good friendly staff. Food of a good standard.
problems at check in with room allocation that was not dealt with in the best way.
Excellent location... Close enough to Sorrento to enjoy all it has to offer ( the hotel mini bus makes this easy) yet the hotel gives you a real sense of the coast. Open air bar area delightful, staff helpful. Views superb. Would recommend.
Excellent location Good service Free shuttle bus to Sorrento Romantic environment
Expensive, given that the standard of the rooms is not top of the line. The rooms are not efficiently soundproof either. Breakfast was so so.
Beautiful position over looking Capri with a fabulous bar, friendly, helpful staff.
The wifi signal was very weak.
wonderful location; helpful staff -thank you
being woken at 6am in the morning by workmen outside my room - I was on holiday! Even though I had the last available booking for the time required, I still expect some consideration in this area - I'll know to book earlier & request a sea view for next time!
wonderful view professional staff nice swimming pool easy entrance to the sea easy connection to Sorrento with shuttle bus robust offer of additional excursions
Excellent restaurant and staff generally
Hotel shuttle should go more often to Sorrento
We loved this hotel it was an amazing way to end out holiday!
Overall a wonderful stay. They warmly welcomed our family including two young girls (1 and 5 year old). Hospitality was un-matched. Facilities are also tremendous. The view is just breathtaking, and the pool was wonderful. We spent four nights and could have easily made it a week stay.
Views from the room and pool are stunning and I've been told Hotel Delfino is unique in its location because it is one of the only hotels with a beautiful view of Capri! I also liked that the pool is overlooking the ocean and I liked the updated, modern lobby and lounge area. Also enjoyed the free shuttle service in and out of Sorrento which saved us from the 55 euro taxi ride we had to pay a couple times when we arrived by train into Sorrento and when we stayed out in town past 11:30 pm which is when the town is really hopping! Swimming in the private lagoon was really fun!!
Music was terrible! They played the radio by the pool and at the cliff side restaurant. When you are trying to relax by the pool or enjoy a romantic dinner the last thing you want to hear is a radio advertisement or Italian radio DJs speaking between every two songs. Not to mention the music was very outdated. I complained a few times and finally convinced the (pool/restaurant manager) to play a CD I had purchased of relaxing Italian guitar music. It was kind of him to play it but I don't think he liked it and he kept going back to the poor quality radio with ads and horrible music. The food was just ok and the facilities could really use a facelift. It looks like the lobby had been updated but a lot of the rooms and pool are outdated.
Superb relaxing stay
The courtesy bus. The views are to die for.
The 'beach' area was overgrown and had a lot of rubbish in it.
