Hotel De La Ville  

We were impressed at the quality of room, very ample sized and modern. The breakfast was more than ok. The location to the train station is great and desirable, even thought the city doesn't do enough to clean the streets or collect the garbage. We always felt safe. Great hotel and friendly staff!

I stayed here because I wanted to see Naples and have an easy access to Pompeii. If you love traveling by train, this is the perfect location to stay. Breakfast is basic, but by far not the worst I've seen in my extensive European travels. Hotel staff is friendly. The facilities are basic but do not have the run down feel that some places in this price range.

Area is not the best, but then it's Naples. Yes, everyone here is right re: seediness of the area. So, I just planned my stay there in such a way that I didn't walk outside at night. TV didn't have a remote, and manual button pushing resulted in 3 minute (no kidding) wait for the channel to change. Oh well, I resorted to reading--better for you anyway.

Reasonable price, good breakfast, normal neighbours.

We were in extreme winter time and it was a challange for everybody to operate the heaing system. It was hard to get a duvet.

The hotel is not disable freindly, their is no lift

Staff were geniuely welcoming, the cleanliness, good for budgeting(price wise), close to train termini and of course breakfast that was included in the price.

I think the management should improve description of location, I mean how to find the hotel.

The hotel was quite nice and the staff were very nice- had good English too.

Terrible location- close to train station but not a safe area. As two young females traveling unaccompanied we did not feel safe walking around the streets, even in daylight. We cancelled our accommodation here after one night and went to stay in Sorrento instead (purely because we disliked Naples and the area, not the hotel itself)

The train station area is not safe except for this hotel. I think it is the best choice if you have to find a hotel around the central station.

I had no WiFi signal in my room, so I have to stay in the lobby area to hook up to the Internet.

The central location. It was about a 5 minute walk to the main train station, in the middle of a main square, plenty of public transportation, restaurants, etc. Staff was helpful, corteous. Rooms, while basic, were clean and quiet.

Not really a dislike, but the included breakfast was very simple. Cereal, pastries, juice, coffee. No meats, cheeses, eggs, Just something to have in your stomach until you get real food.

We picked this hotel because it was very close to the main train station from where the bus to the airport departs (we had a very early flight in the morning). Also, the hotel is decorated very nice inside and the rooms are big

No elevator, so walking with a big suitcase up 3 floors might be a little annoying the worst part of the hotel unfortunately for it is the location: extremely dirty outside, lots of people that make you feel unsafe (homeless, prostitutes and other dubious people). However, the whole historic center looks quite the same and we didn't have any issues with anyone although we left at 6 A.M. So unless you're planning on staying somewhere near the Castle D'Elmo (which we found the cleanest and nicest part of the town), this is an option as good as in the historic center.

Good location, great price

Reception was not friendly on arrival. Rooms small and old fashioned and a little grubby but for what I paid I certainly can't complain

Close to the old city centre (walking distance) and to the central train station.

Bad neighborhood (dirty streets, dubious caracters around), old furniture in the rooms. Rooms not so clean.
