Hotel De La Ville  

I liked the hotel staff, friendly and ready to help. The location is close to the station, that was comfortable for us.

Breakfast was bad. The bread and croissant were old. The juice is diluted with water. The cheese and ham were in a small amount. There were also butter, jam and chocolate cream. Flakes and milk we didn`t try. The room smelled bad despite airing. And the blanket on the bad was dirty.

Rooms was tiny, dirty with no air con and the fridge smelled like something had died in there.

really noisy (eventhough we asked for a quiet room), poor breakfast, not polite staff. Only goo staff is the location if you make a stop in Napoli

An oasis of tranquility and security in poor imigrants neighborhood around train station. The whole city is forgotten and waiting for better days. 24/7 reception Staff compensates poor foreign languages with friendliness.

The hotel was clean easy to find very near the train station, staff were friendly, breakfast was good and it was a nice place to stay.

Situation near to the centural station, easy change to the airport/port. Very friendly personnel.

None of the personnels in the hotel communicates good level of English, this is almost the same for the city. Breakfast variety quite limited. No lift

Air conditioner not working on heating mode.Local central heating was operating only after 21:00 hrs. Once even out of order,as well as no warm water!! Generally was a bit cold.

I stay at Hotel De La Ville for the third time and wouldn't change it for any other hotel! The staff is very polite and friendly, the price is great, rooms are clean, breakfast's nice, and location is very favourable - everything is very good!

- Location, very close to Garibaldi station where also Alibus from the airport stops (3 eur/pers/one way). - Personnel quite pleasant and receptive to our questions. - Towels changed daily.

- Lot of garbage everywhere. Napoli is incredible unclean. I have heard before my stay that it is called "garbage town", but I could not imagine it could be like that. - No elevator, and we stayed at 3-rd floor!!! It was awfull to climb all luggage till the room (no. 304). - No balcony as it says on the site. - Hot water missing one evening. - Black and white TV first night, then no sound, then it was fixed, but it was an old TV (no plasma... as on the site). - On 1st of January everything had short programme, so we missed Pompei (last entrance at 13:00 am) and also Vesuviu (we found anyway a very nice taxi driver who climbed us to Vesuviu - till parking area and then back to Napoli for only 90 eur/6 persons -> it was a discounted price due to the fact that it was his last course). - No late dejunee after New Year's Party (same hours, so nobody could make it). - In the last day, no sandwiches were provided considering we had an early plane. Is true we did not ask for them, but we should have been at least informed about this possibility.

Location is not tourist friendly at all, You dont feel safe during the holidays and in nights as area full of thieves and strange people. Will never recommend for families. Breakfast quality is very poor. Reception person is poor in sharing details about city and transport. Rooms are not hygenic & smelly. You can see spider webs and small bugs around the corners. Toliets are also worn out as you can see the fungus on the washbasin and the shower area.

Hotel has a perfect location - close (5 minutes walking) from main railway station (Pompei, Vesuv). Staff could speak English quite well. Breakfast was simple (bread, cheese, ham, butter, jam, cookies, milk, cereals and juices). As we were here in December we had a problem with heating but it was not be that bad. Room was small and simple. If you go to Naples for e few days as we did I recomend this hotel. 70-75%.

Was expecting something nicer- was promised room with a balcony, but got room with view in the inside location- not the nicest. No bath mat or slippers offered. No lounge for wi-fi use.

Great location, near to the train station and the metro. We walked to the historic center without problems and wandered back to the hotel late at night without too much concern. Overall, good value for money. Definitely no frills, but there was a small breakfast in the morning, which at least took the edge off until you could go and get something more substantial. Staff were friendly and there was Internet in the lobby and upper landing. For 40 euros, it was worth it. We stayed further out for three nights before this place, and it was nicer, but this was very convenient for early morning trains and for walking instead of relying on the metro, which actually quits running quite early. We were pleased with our night here.

Close to piazza Garibaldi- ideal if like us you arrived on an evening flight and were planning to move on by train next morning. Receptionist seemed to be getting a lot of phone traffic interrupting his capacity to serve us, but eventually was helpful in that he recommended an excellent nearby pizzeria to eat and gave us a discount voucher!. Breakfast was basic but at 49 euro per night per room you cannot complain too much. Air conditioning effective in room but loud- room comfortable for the purposes of a one night stay and surprisingly quiet.

no lift- it says on the booking.com website that check-in finishes at 10.00 pm so we were worried we would miss this if our flight had been delayed (it did not happen anyway)

Location - dangerous Rude staff - asking for the tax (4 euros) as we were entering the hotel to go to bed which was unnecessary Reception staff spoke no English Poor quality breakfast

The location just 15 minutes walk from the Central Railway station was very convenient. Staff was very friendly and tried to pleased whenever possible. Our room was clean with the air conditioning working well. It was very good value for money.

The breakfast was ok comparing to average standard of Italian breakfast although the toaster's design made it difficault to use it at all.

Exellent for a one/two night stay, while visiting Naples and Pompeii. Close to the railway station and good conections to the city, airport...And very budget friendly.
