Staying at the Bains (pronounced 'Ben' in Venice) was quite a treat. It's one of the few hotels in the world where you feel that the wrinkles have *not* been surgically removed: The creaky parquet, the dust of the old rugs, the grandness of the high ceilings and mossy stone balustrades overlooking the garden and pool. Unfortunately, the pool was half-full, but it didn't prohibit us from swimming there, and certainly better than half-empty. |

The breakfast was very good and the staff serving were excellent. The desk staff were helpful and tried hard. Getting to the airport early in the morning was very expensive by water taxi or if you went by public transport took well over an hour and it was by water fairy and bus. They did have a shuttle service to San Marco but unless you really want to be out of the main stream I wished we had stayed the entire time in San Marco instead of just the 2 days. |

Pleasantly suprised at the relaxed atmosphere of the Lido. The hotel is well placed to take full advantage of this, and is close enough to the water taxi to go to Venice if you want to. restaurant was expensive. |

Feeling of old world service and hospitality,plenty of room.Excellent concierge service and charming bar service. Televisions really are small and old fashioned.No internet in the room is not acceptable and foyer internet did not work one day.Hotel rooms should have balconies. |

The beautiful terrace for the breakfast, the large swimming pool, beautiful sea view, sala Thomas Mann for indoor breakfast, the largeness of the space, hallways, furniture,wonderful terrace to the garden for parties, the garden,fruit basket in the room construction site on the beach in the morning which is a temporary problem, maybe the street between the hotel and beach |

J'ai aimé la situation de l'hôtel au calme mais près de la rue principale du lido avec ses cafés, restaurants et boutiques, la beauté et le romantisme des lieux, la très belle piscine, la navette en minibus et bateau pour la place Saint Marc toutes les demi-heures ( 1/4 d'heure de bateau), la plage et le cadre reposant après l'agitation de Venise. |

Die Lage direkt am Meer ist herrlich und die alte Tradition, wo Thomas Mann, Visconti, Marlene Dietrich u.v.m. gewohnt haben, hat Charme. Da das Hotel dringend renovierungsbedürftig ist und das Personal nicht besonders motiviert war, stimmten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis nicht. |

grandeur van weleer, alles zeer prachtig en romantisch, maar spijtig dat er een baan is ts hotel en strand te grote afstand nr venetie, eerst shuttle en daarna boor, steeds minstens 40 min kwijt |

Le personnel vraiment attentionné.La localisation est parfaite egalement. L'hotel est un peu vieillot. La pscine ne fonctionait pas correctement et le bar de la piscine etait fermé en juin!!! |

Das Hotel mit dem Charme eines alten Grand Hotels mit phantastischem Interieur und - das Beste - der Park mit dem Pool - einzigartig in Venedig, sehr guter Shuttle-Service nach Venedig, ein Hotel für Menschen, die Jugendstil und das etwas Verstaubte des Anfangs des vergangenen Jahrhunderts estimieren. Immer wieder ein Vergnügen. Das Personal im Restaurant beim Frühstück ist unaufmerksam. Es fehlt, wie schon voriges Jahr, eine vernünftige Leitung. Das Restaurant ist überteuert, daher meist leer, die Karte bietet wenig Ansprechendes an. |
