This is an excellent hotel as a base for all your tours. It is on a busy street, but the noise was not any worse than we expected. We were right off the lobby and it was fine. Marco was very helpful and we would definately stay here again.

Room was clean, staff was friendly, fast internet connection. Good location - near the train station, still at least our room was quite quiet. Breakfast room is small, but at 8:30am, we always got a free table. The safe was too small to host a laptop,

This was our first trip to Rome, and the staff at the hotel could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The atmosphere contributed greatly to our enjoyment and we would thoroughly recommend the Dorica. Excellent location for visiting the main sights, and very much service with a smile! Breakfast was very good, but what amazed us was the speed of service and the efficiency!

Nice location and clean, good room As we experienced in nearly all restaturants, cafe's and shops in Rome, staff is not very flexible and has a somewhat arrogant attitude. Service level is well below almost any other big european city. And do not rely on your credit card. Rome is a "cash only" city. Even when paying our bill at the hotel. The room charge was payable by visa however the newly imposed Roman tax had to be paid in cash.

This hotel was centrally located in the city and was located close to several metro and bus stops. The rooms are small and typically european but the location makes up for the sacrifices made with the cozy rooms and hard beds. Overall, because of the price, rooms and most lacking of breakfast meals, I don't anticipate recommending this hotel to any of my friends. Having stayed at several hotels across europe, I found the breakfast to be severely lacking even for Italian standards. Unless you are one whom enjoys a diet pure in carbs stemming from an overdose of bread and pastries, this breakfast will not meet your expectations.

The stay at Hotel Dorica was great, except for it being on a main road with all the traffic. A good suggestion, sound proof windows!!! All in all our stay at the Hotel was very nice, the staff was great and Marco was delightful and helpful. Another great aspect of the hotel was transportation pick up for the airport they offer an added plus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome. The traffic on the main road, was noisy made it hard to sleep at night.

The stuff are very friendly and helpful. The room is nice, big enough and adequate bathroom facilities (but you are not allowed to wash clothes in the bathroom, which could be inconvinient to some extent.) The location is convenient enough, actually we walked to the train station and shopping area. There is a nice plaza with an impressive fountain in front of the hotel.

Ideal location for visting all the sites by walking with Buses and Metro close by. Termini station only 10 minutes away - best to take the shuttle bus from Fiumicino (15 euro return) to Termini Stn.Very friendly staff most of which can speak English - Marco the Manager is charming and can not do enough for you- do ask him to help you plan your way round the city and also for the best restaurants in the locality according to price and quality. We took up his recommendation for both of our 2 nights stay which were excellent both had amazingly drinkable house wine for 6 euros a litre ! Ask him to direct you to Antica Boheme and the Original Pizza House - He was actually eating in the first one himself himself.Hotel is spotlessly clean -our room was large with a pleasant view over the square and fountain .Huge bed which was reasonably comfortable.Breakast by Italian standards was good -simple but satisfying, do ask for moe of anything and they will oblige. We would certainly stay again. Little really to complain about - you might find the traffic a bit noisy if you are in the front of the Hotel but after a lot of walking and good wine and food at the the end of the day ,it shouldn't cause you too much problem.Like many hotels a plastic cover is used over the mattress which can make you sweat in the night -whilst understanding the reason for it,Its a pity alternatives can not be found.

Location is very good. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is not bad. It's not worth the money it costs. Pictures don't match the reality. Rooms are small, not that confortable, no view what so ever, nothing like we had imagined.

Hotel is in walking distance from Termini but more than 10 minutes. Bus and metro stations(republica) are nearby. Breakfast is not bad, but under average of my trip in Italy. A man in reception in the evening was very kind and helpful and professional.

Location is perfect: close to Termini (which means buses and metro) and Via Nazionale - also buses and shops. Colosseum, Roman Forum, Santa Maria Maggiore - all within walking distance. At the same time it is located on a rather quite square, our windows faced the inner courtyard, so no noise came from the streets. Rooms are nice and clean, towels changed daily. Breakfast is modest (bread, bakery. cheese), but tastes very good, coffee is excellent. Reception works 24 hours, most staff speaks English and everybody is extremely friendly: brought us extra blankets, let us print museum vauchers (better be done in advance anyway though), recommended buses routes and restaurants etc. Definitely would recommend the hotel in general. Rather cold in the rooms and the heating could not be regulated, but we came back only to sleep, so with the blankets it was ok. You have to be quick with your morning shower: hot water comes to an end with everybody in the hotel taking it (you can still manage though).

The location of this hotel is very good, easily accessed through termini station. Our room was clean and quite large. Most sights can be reached on foot. Breakfast is poor and not worth waiting for.there is really no place to sit around.I'm sure there must be better value hotels available. I wouldn't stay there again.

It's good location to get railway station or some famous attraction. Clean but not new rooms. The limited breakfast is the routine case for Italian hotel. Parking for loading/unloading is difficult at hotel taking into account many carbineers close to Department of Justice across the road.

Good clean hotel.Staff were friendly and helpful. We walked to most major attractions.Reasonably priced, good location. The only thing I didn't like was that it did not have a ground floor main entrance. The hotel's reception area was on the second floor but the friendly and attentive staff and nice rooms made up for this inconvenience .

“The hotel is in an excellent location. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the main (Termini) train station and the Metro station. The staff was very helpful offering advice on local restaurants(try Cotto's) and directions to all the sights . We walked to the Coloseum in 15 minutes. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were large and tiled. Breakfast was very nice with assorted pastries, cereals, juices, meats, boiled eggs, etc. They even went the extra mile and called a cab to the airport for us. Location, location, location. ” James, Indian Land |
