Hotel Dorica  

This hotel was centrally located in the city and was located close to several metro and bus stops. The rooms are small and typically european but the location makes up for the sacrifices made with the cozy rooms and hard beds. Overall, because of the price, rooms and most lacking of breakfast meals, I don't anticipate recommending this hotel to any of my friends.

Having stayed at several hotels across europe, I found the breakfast to be severely lacking even for Italian standards. Unless you are one whom enjoys a diet pure in carbs stemming from an overdose of bread and pastries, this breakfast will not meet your expectations.

Was disappointed on arrival that the Hotel had no red wine or ice in the bar --- however there is a little cafe/bar downstairs from the hotel were we did have a glass (or 2 of wine ) before heading out to explore. Marco also sent us here for some ice on Saturday evening -- so no problems. Hair dryer is on a timer -- so would suggest you take your own if your hair takes a bit to dry.

Very clean hotel, good location, friendly staff.

Great location - close to Termini station (10 min walk) and all the main sights are within walking distance. Great price considering where it is. Staff lovely - very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Room very clean. Shower powerful, wifi available, everything worked.

Bed not a double - 2 single beds pushed together which was uncomfortable. Bed rather hard. Quite noisy as walls thin - did find it hard to sleep.

Marco and his staff were all very good. They were very friendly and helpful, and patient when it came to teaching me a few Italian words. The hotel is less than 10 mins walk from Termini Station, and 15 mins walk from the Piazza Venezia, which we classed as the centre of the city. We always felt safe whilst walking the streets both in the day and at night. If you are looking for a 3* hotel, then I would have no problem in recommending The Dorica.

friendly helpful staff- very good suggestions for meals out and helped book taxi transfer to airport on final day. great location. extremely clean and tidy. unpretentious hotel offering a good place as a base for a Rome visit.

Breakfast was a little dull-a little more thought would deliver a nicer breakfast for the same cost to the hotel.

We stayed 3 nights in the Hotel. Hotel was clean and the staff were all brilliant and friendly, specially Marco. Checkout is as early as 12.00. Room are cleanned every day. 10 minutes walk from Termini Train/Underground Station. About 15/20 minutes walk to the historical part o the town. Bars and restaurants around were very good and resonably priced. Do not hesitate to ask the staff for recommendation. Would definitely stay there again.

Marco gave us a warm welcome and the staff were always available to help and assist. This is a friendly central hotel which was ideal for us to explore Rome for our 4 day stay.

Location, wlking distance to most of the major sites.The staff were extremely friendly and professional .There was plenty of tourist information available.The area around the Hotel seems quite safe.Street door is locked at night but night bell was answered promptly The breakfast was continental ,mostly Coffee,bread & pastries

Traffic noise at front of Hotel, may be a problem for a light sleeper

the hotel is in a good location near to the terminus,about 10 mins walk.there are many restaurants & bars nearby..the staff are friendly and helpful. our room was a good size as was the bathroom,it was very clean and lovely and warm.(it was snowing outside!).the breakfast was good with juice,yogurts,cereal,rolls cheese, jam ,pastries,fruit &tea coffee etc. we could leave our cases there on the day of our depature between checking out and travelling. i would recommend and will be going back .
