Arrived about 11am before check in and the staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. Very impressive. The gentleman even lugged a piece of heavy luggage was showing us the room!
The breakfast was very poor.
The hotel looks quite old but is clean and staff very helpful.
The Hotel is very clean the location of the Hotel is very close to all
Could walk to most places, including the major train station and the staff and venue suited us perfectly. Lovely staff!!!
The wifi in room 30 just did not work. it was a big problem in planning the days ahead
Location was great. We had a great view to from the small balcony which was a plus. The staff was great as well. though one of the staff members was a bit rude. I would avoid her next time. the three gents at the desk and in the breakfast room were fab.
Rooms facing main road can be quite noisy... Double room window faced an air well and has no power sockets in the room
Location, value for money, friendly and helpful staff
Very poor breakfast.
Very good loaction of the hotel. Very friendly staff.
Wifi did not work in the room. The breakfast was very basic.Traffic noise in the room (first floor).
The location was very good, close to termini railway station and metro. The staff was very friendly.
I was staying at Dorica with my mother for 3 nights. Florian at the front desk made us feel exceptionally welcome as soon as we walked in to check in. He has been very helpful as well, he gave us a map and some very useful tips as well as recommended a very nice local restaurant where we had the most delicious pasta (and it wasn't expensive at all!). Generally, the hotel is very clean, all staff are super friendly! Amazing location! We loved every second of our stay, thank you so much Florian and all staff at Dorica. Definitely staying there when we are back in Rome. Grazie :)
Brekfast quality can be improved.
The location is superb. Perfect access to public transport system. Many restaurants nearby. Calm, hidden and peacefull.
Staff all extremely friendly and helpful . Made us feel very welcome like a member of the family. Delicious cappuccino and croissants for breakfast . No charge for room safe . Excellent free wifi . Our 2nd visit and we will return !
Our room (1.floor) was a bit noisy, because of the street in front of the hotel. Earplugs recommended for sensible persons!
Location and the hotel was spotless clean. Very friendly staff ,especially Florian!
Wifi was poor, but who cares! :)
It's a brilliant, clean and inviting hotel but what really sets it apart from others is the staff. They are so helpful and clearly proud to work for the hotel. Florian was excellent and really made our trip extra special. We would recommend this hotel to anyone as it's positioned in a lovely part of Rome, but only 5 mins away from Termini so it's an ideal location.
The mattresses were very poor.
Overall very clean, and friendly staff.
No curtains on the shower. Good deal for a week day, but for the weekend it was almost 3 times more expensive and had to look for another hotel.
Good location, walking distance from train station and main touristic attractions. Very helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable and good sized room.
Florien was very helpful and gave us a map and explained the best walking/bus routes to take to go site seeing.
Only the staff, they are very nice people, very helpfull, you just ask for any thing related to the city, but not the hotel, and they will do every thing to help you out!! Yet, if you ask for anything related to hotel, which is not very nice by the way, they will not be able to help. I hated the hotel facility, but fear based on price, wifi is not working at all, except next to the reception oiffice, which is in 2nd floor. I hated the hotel facility, but fear based on price, wifi is not working at all, except next reception oiffice, which is in 2nd floor, the doors are still on the ancient type with big metal thing, and need to return it to the office every time you need to go out. We were two and they gave us only one key, since it a normal door key, and electricity works on the key in rooms, so it was not possible for one to leave the room alone!!! Really painful. The bed cautions are extremely bad, they caused us a neck pain in two days only, we just stopped using them. Location is ok.
The staff are very helpful and courteous. The location of the Hotel to all the main attractions is about 15 mins walk.
Pretty poor WiFi connection inside room. Double bed was indeed two beds united.
Very good location, in a central road across the Minstry of Interior and about 10 minutes walk from central places like Colloseum and Vittorio Emanuele. Confortable and clean room with nice bathroom. Nice and friendly staff.
we had to go back after 7 nights, but surely will return
Lovely small, clean, quite hotel in excellent location with walking distance to termini station and all attractions. Great staff make you feel at home, mostly Florian always ready to help, much smiling faces from all staff. Breakfast ok for Italy too.
Wi-fi connection was a bit choppy.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of Rome Termini, so if you've got an early flight departure (we did), it's easy to walk to the station & grab the express train to the airport. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful, and knew both the immediate area and Rome's major sights and neighborhoods very well. Neighborhood is slow at night (it's in a business area), but plenty of good cafes and grocery stores for breakfast and lunch options. We'd certainly stay again.
Sometimes there were blackouts.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location, very close to metro stations Termini and Repubblica. Nice breakfast. Great value for money.
The front desk and the breakfast staff are very friendly and go away to make you feel welcome.
My friend and I were looking for a 3 star hotel in Rome that wasn't too pricey and close to the center of Rome. We read reviews for Hotel Dorica and thought it was the best option for what we were looking for/the price. It had a working elevator, which is very nice, and a good breakfast (if you're a picky eater, or are used to amazing hotel breakfasts, you may not like Hotel Dorica's). There's not a big selection of food, but what they do have is very delicious. The staff in the breakfast room are so kind. Really, all of the staff members couldn't be more excellent. They all speak English, and were so sweet. They carried our bags for us, showed us around our room, and answered all of our questions with sincere kindness and patience. They were also very eager to help us with whatever we needed, such as calling cabs for us, printing out tickets, and suggesting places and areas to go to. The only kind of cons were that the beds weren't very comfortable and depending on what floor your room is on, there may be a lot of street noise. However, if you plane to spend all day walking around Rome, you'll be so tired at night that the bed will feel fine and you'll pass out before the street noise can bother you.
- The price we paid was during peak season - much higher than what would normally be commanded. Still, our decision to visit around that time - The breakfast isn't the greatest but passable
- Location, location, location! A close walk or busride to everything historical, and conveniently connected via the subway and many buses around - Florian and the rest of the hotel team are fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly and very, very helpful - Wifi worked well, and our room had great sunlight, overlooking the pretty external affairs building
