Stayed at the Hotel Duomo for a week and it was the best location I could have asked for to explore the entire city! The Duomo was right outside our doorstep, the Ponte Vecchio was a 15 minute walk away... The room was bigger than I had expected.

The bed and pillows weren't very comfortable, the towels always smelled like vinegar, and the wifi connection was sometimes very slow.

The location was second to none and I cannot find a single fault. I will not think twice before staying again!

Fantastic location, short walk from Firenze S.M.N. train station and to all major sites, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi... Exceedingly clean and so quiet. Staff very friendly and speak English. Nice Italian breakfast in the morning. Toilet and bidet, would highly recommend.

This hotel location is wonderful. The view from our room was excellent. Breakfast was nice. The staff was helpful.

Better directions for parking. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area. Not being able to read Italian we aren't sure if we were driving on the right streets.

Central position, walking distance to train station, clean, efficient, friendly

I liked the proximity of this hotel to the duomo(one could gaze at the marvel from your window).Stones throw from entrance to the Cupola(not that I'd dare)Located centrally to the best shopping in Florence,restaurants etc. Walking distance to all the other monuments and sightseeing. Most charming couple as owners cum managers of this place and their ever so helpful,courteous,warm hearted father who helped us plan our time there very efficiently! I would go back there every time!

The fact that no hotel in Italy switches on their Air -conditioners till the month of May!

Poor noise isolation of the rooms. However, not a real problem because not so noisy...

Best choice in this price category. A 3 stars hotel by size, with 4 stars service in a 5 stars location! Top clean and very pleasant breakfast, where you even get the type of coffee you wish. A hotel with most engaged manager. Excellent choice !

Very kindly personal. Nice view on Udomo. Nice location in the old part of Florence. Rooms are very clean. Rooms are cleaned every day. Towels are clean and changed every day. Comfortable bed, textile for bed 100% clean. Nice breakfast and very nice service – can prepare fresh coffee, cappuccino, latte for free. 24 reception service. We love all in this hotel and next time we want to stay here again.

Staff were excellent and the hotel was very clean. Brilliant location as central to all attractions. Could not this hotel at all. Should be four star.

Great location and we had a great view of the Duomo. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were decent.

Very small showers. I'm used to European bathrooms but those were the smallest showers I had ever seen. The beds are a little uncomfortable.

I like the Hotel Location next to the Duomo and the fact that its in the middle of the busy area of Florence.

The warmth and friendly atmosphere. All staff very helpful. Breakfast was good with great coffee, room cleaned daily and bedding changed. You really could not have asked for a nicer place to stay.

The hotel is location just next to The Duomo and you can hear the church bells every morning - very beautiful. Location is great as it is walking distance to everywhere, even to the train station. The staff was very friendly.

The lift can only take 2 persons to the 4th floor and our room was location 1 floor down from the reception. So a lot of climbing as there are 3 of us. Not convienent for old folks. Breakfast was more continental with hard boil eggs but cafes and restuarants are location just downstairs.

The location is good, within 10 mins walk to the rail station and many restaurants nearby.

1) The lift is terrible, not because it is very small (2 persons) but actually a cage... 2) The feel and design is just like a hostel 3) i cannot say the staff is not helpful but they could not answer most of my questions. And on the 2nd day i requested their staff not to enter our room for cleaning while we were out. One of their staff spoke not so friendly and rejected us. They said this is their policy and we have to follow. i found this not reasonable! Although finally another staff compromised with us, it was not a happy memory.

i would not stay att his location futurewise, rather prefer somewhere with car access. No added value of staying so close to the Duomo if youre travelling in winter as it is so cold you wouldnt want to walk so much. Hotel was too basic and dry for my style and found it a bit pricy for what they offered.

The stff was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived a tad before 2pm and a room was made avauilable to us within 10 minutes, probably a room a cut above what we had booked. The breakfast was spectacular: cappucino, boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, croissants & bricoche, cereals, juices, very freshly sliced mortadella & salami (delicious), fresh fruit - very substantial and nutritious. It was not stuff in cello packs but was fresh from the pasticeria and freshly sliced (probably in-house) salami and mortadella.. Very pleaant and very tasty. Our room had a great view of Brunelleschi's Dome and of the cathedral. I do love the colors. Even from the bathroom we had a fabulous view of the Duomo. The bed was comfortable, pillows great; room reasonably spacious. Special mention should be made of the bathroom. It was very large, much more so than usually expected. Comfy bathtub with hand-shower. Bidet, etc. in an unusualy large space. And as I said with a view of the dome from the throne --- what more could one ask for in Firenze.

No negatives. It was a positive experience.

Close to Termini Station. Wifi worked. Friendly lady at reception.

Very basic, but only stayed there for one night before going to the airport the next day. Will not be able to stay there for more than one night. Old towels. Thin walls. Had to carry my luggage two floors up on arrival.
