I do not recommend to anybody, unless there are no hotel rooms in Venice city. Reasons: 1) No elevator, if you are given a room on the 4th floor, Good Luck to the elderly or anyone with bad legs, like me with a bad hip. 2) Breakfast, very plain. Waitress never clear table after guests left the table. And most of time guests have to request to refill coffee maker or etc. Cold bread, if you are toast bread lover, you'll be very disappointed. No smile in the morning -receptionist and waitresses. 3) No mini bar 4) No writing materials 5) No toilet articles, only 2 packets of bath gel, that smelled like detergent 6) Window blinds cannot open 7) A strange odor in the room 8) Shared toilet and bathroom.I had to pay extra 10 euro to private bathroom |

The only thing we liked about this hotel was the night receptionist young Lady who actually showed a smile and some interest in her guests and was very friendy. On our arrival the woman reseptionist, who had a dog with her, was incredibly rude, she didn't didn't welcome us at all or look up from her desk - she only spoke to us whilst looking down. She asked for our reservation number and passports - thats all she said to us! We werent impressed by this woman at all and would never reccommend Stella Alpina or stay at this hotel again. Yes, it is only 2 star but we stayed here as the photos looked good for a 2 star - thats no excuse for a rude receptionist!! Our bathroom was like a public swimming pool toilet/bathroom and we had to wear shoes in the shower as it looked so yuck! |

good location re Venice, food, and for sighteeing, although it was a bit difficult for us to find. The rooms were a bit smaller that we, North Americans are used to, but they were comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with good variety. I didn't like the location of our room which was on the 4th floor, without an elevator, and the stairs are a bit narrow, and steep. However, the staff were willing to move us after I voiced concerns about my injured knee. |

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and spoke some English. It was only a short walk (10 min) to the train station and close to the vaparette berth. The breakfast was superb with breakfast taken in the dining room or garden. Bottom floor (with garden views) was a bonus as there was no lift. |

Good location A bit too expensive for what is offered. breakfast was ratehr poor. Some part of the staff were very kind and helpful which gives you a nice feeling, however the girl working in the morning (the one with a dog) had a very unprofessional attitude. She was always busy with something else and if you were asking something instead of doing her job she was giving the impression that you are bothering her. It is not nice to have to meet such person every morning. The rest of the stuff were really great, helpful and having that italian charming way of being! |

Nice location just beside the Railway Station max 3-4 minutes walk , very easy to access. Good for budget travellers and back packers. You can even drop your luggage after checkout and collect before going to another location. Easy to access all boat Taxis or Goverment transportation boat service even in very late night also. No lift so in case of heavy luggage you might have some problem in carrying. No AC just in case if it will be hot season. |

The room was clean although sparce and had one of the more comfortable beds we slept on this trip. The breakfast was also one of the better ones, more variety and the caupicinios were from a machine but great. The internet cost was also very reasonable 2 euros per 30 minutes. Raul at the front desk was very helpful. We did have a shared bath but no wait time to use the shower. Promiximity to train station was great, only a couple blocks down a quiet street, great for sleeping. |

The location was great and good breakfast, however if possible book rooms with attached showers, we had to walk down the corridor past 5 rooms to use the shower and bathroom. |

Short walking distance from Venice Santa Lucia train station. Very nice & clean atmosphere. We really enjoy our time at the hotel. It's quite costly, but again most hotels in Venice are expensive |

The location of the Hotel is perfect. It is close to the train and bus stations. It is very easy to find the hotel. The local boat station of the Grand Canale is just 30 meters from the hotel. There is no elevator and climbing up to the upper floors is quite challenging if you have big suitcases. Musquitos are really annoying. |
