Staff was great, beds were comfortable, quiet at night, 24 hour staff available. Breakfast was WAY overpriced, shower was a little small.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Reception was very helpful and everyone spoke english. The rooms are pretty big. If you are looking for a place to sleep that is close to city I would recommend this hotel. If you're a loud crowd that want to party I suggest a Hostel. Also, it is literally a 5 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast is not included.

The hotel is 2 mins away from Santa Maria Novella train station. There is a supermarket and a Chinese restaurant with take out service 5 mins from the hotel. It takes 10-15 mins to go to Florence downtown (Ponte Vecchio, Battistero, Galleria degli uffizi, Piazza della Signoria..). The room was very big, one queen bed and a single bed, two windows with two different views, satellite TV in several languages, perfect and clean linen and private small bathroom (the shower was very very small, but for the room price was more than ok). The staff was very kind and helpful. The lady at the front desk gave us a map of Florence and some suggestions. Breakfast is not included. It's 7 euros per person, one cappuccino 2 euros. I would suggest the hotel to take under consideration the idea of an included breakfast with a reasonable price.

I liked how helpful and knowledgeable the staff was and the location of the hotel to everything was great. Literally, every piece of furniture in my room was broken and the water pressure in the bathroom was terrible it also took forever for the hot water to turn on.

The location and the building itself were fine. The rooms had the potential to be lovely but were not given any care or attention. The room was grotty and not looked after. On arrival curtains were hanging down and the light over the mirror was not working. we stayed 4 nights and despite pointing these out to the manager none of the above were rectified. On the first night we went to go for a shower the grouting between the tiles was dirty and the shower panels itself were dirty. There was a build up of dirt on the bottom of the sliding panel which was unacceptable. I let the person on reception know that night and again the gentleman who was on duty the following morning. He said he would get it sorted. When we returned in the afternoon it was the same so i complained to the manager who was not very helpful ,saying she was unaware of my complaint and blaming the maid. she eventually came up to have a look at my complaints and reluctantly offered to move us to another room. We said we would stay in the room as long as it was sorted the following day. When we came back that day the bottom of the shower was cleaned and there was a strong smell of bleach in the room but nothing else was sorted. I left it at that but at no time did anyone come to check if we were ok with everything after. On the last day there was a smell of drains in the batroom.Very poor service and would not return.

We discovered our squalid room after paying for three nights, one night on booking and two nights on arrival. Airconditioning consisted of small pedestal fan. Mouldy dirty bathroom (photos available) Requirement that room key be left at reception every time I left the hotel. Discovery that my room was let to someone else in my absence! Refusal to refund my payment when someone else was in my room.

The hotel was so well situated. We walked everywhere - the Duomo, Michelangelo's museum, Uffize etc. The staff were friendly - especially Manola and Angelica and very helpful. We had a balcony and we were away from the traffic. We would have liked tea and coffee making facilities but we bought a small kettle so it was fine The wi-fi did not work in our room but it was not a problem and we were given a choice. We chose to have a balcony and no wi-fi.

It was an ancient building with spacios rooms and really tall ceilings. Wonderful design! It showed the real, old soul of the magnificent city. Good location too! Not too comfortable, messy bathroom and very small shower.

Location is good. Lots of good restaurants are around. I stayed at the room, the door was too noisy when you open or close. Second, sharing bathroom is not a good idea as there is only one. Sometimes you have to wait more than 1 hr to use shower and toilet. Third, too many mosquitos were in the room, all three of us were beaten from leg to face. Fouth, the air cond is too old, it was not cold enough and too much dust in the air cond.

The hotel is 1 minute away from the train station, and 5 minutes from the first buildings to visit in the centre! Perfect for early leaving trains. We were there for only one night, dropped the bags in the morning, left to Pisa, came back for a shower and walKed the city, the markets... The room was big (there was even an extra bed), it had a balcony, WiFi and the bathroom inside (although we were not supposed to have these last two). No a/c but a fan, anyway it was enough even for an August night. The breakfast was not included, there is a McCafe just behind the building and more options (we are next to the station!) so for this price, I consider it a very good value for money.

Short walk from station (just like the other 30 hotels in the area) Avoid!!! Dodgy lift, huge flight of stairs. Rude receptionist. Drip right onto pillow, from next door's air con! Dodgy light fittings. Bad manners from staff when we complained, had to argue to get a different room. Shared bathroom was filthy. Felt dirtier than when we arrived.

Everything is perfect especially the hotel owner and the female front desk. They are very supportive and are willing to answer any question about the city, transportation, map and events. The room is newly decorated in a modern style. It is located in a building in a very prime area. You are next to any tourist attraction. I can say that Hotel Erina is one of the "best value" you can afford in Rome. To add up the quality of the hotel, there should be a sign of the hotel or any logo at the entrance of the building.

The old elevator was unique and it did work. The second room we finally ended up with was very nice and for us with 3 kids was large. The a/c worked well. The location was fairly quiet and very close to the train station and markets. The staff was very nice. Our first room had extreme mildew and mold in the bathroom. Appears to have been a water leak and the ceiling was covered. We finally got into another room that was very nice.

Classic styled room, high ceilings, tall shuttered windows. Clean. It was hot in the city during summer and the air conditioning was not adequate in our room. The other room my friend had the first night had no air conditioning and she had to suffer the first night in over 100 F heat with only two fans. The hotel moved her the next day, but again rented the room out the next night to new unsuspecting guests. Even though we did not open our windows at all, there were mosquitoes in our room and I got over 30 bites in my three nights there. A week later I still have painful red swollen lumps on my arms and legs.

The proximity to the train station and many restaurants The big room, with a balcony The bathroom: shower was really dirty, the curtain was discusting and the toilet was leaking. The only thing that was done for that was extra towels on the floor. There was no safe The breakfast was bad, for the same price you can get a juice, a coffe, a pastry, yogourt, a fruit and an egg sandwich in a coffee nearby

Hotel Erina is very close to the Florence train station & within walking distance of sights in Florence. It was very convenient for getting around the region & city. We had a shared bathroom that was tiny & filthy. The shower was moldy, shower doors didn't close, leaked all over the floor and no water pressure/no hot water. On the website it showed rooms have air conditioning, but not all rooms do. The rooms were not very clean and the hotel didn't feel safe. The hotel is in a building with 3 other hotels that are all managed by one shared desk staff so there was no one at the front desk of our hotel and the door was open 24/7 with just a skeleton key to lock the door.

Hotel in good location under 5 minues walk from the main train station. Room was clean with private facilities. Even though the rooms looked old, it was nice feeling like you were in a late 19th century hotel. Shame breakfast was not included in the price

Most of the staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to the train station (ideal for us - travelling by train and only staying one night). Easy to find using comments from other visitors. Nice courtyard with a few seats where we could sit and read.
