Excellent position in Bergamo, central for train station, shopping, funicular. Lounge bar not always staffed in the evening.

The location was ideal for Bergamo. The restaurant was great but very pricey. The restaurant is too expensive. Parking is 14 euros per night and is on the street outside. It is not a 4 star I would rate it as a 3 star.

Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. Wifi didn't work. Sometimes I was able connect to network but after first page (with awful piano music) connection were lost. I need wifi when I travel.

Nothing - terrible service. Service horrible, receptionist cad, you can not pay the hotel with Visa Card (and in another hotel payment made emoy same card !!!), the most negative memories, per stay connected with this hotel.

The Hotel is Central to both the Cita Bassa and Cita alta and there is a busstop right outside which takes you to the Airport and Oreo Shopping Centre

The best thing about the hotel is it's location.Close to funicular to Citta Alta and close to the city and main shopping area.This was my third stay at Hotel Excelsior over 4 years and I think the hotel is looking a bit tired. The standard rooms are adequate and comfortable but are ready for an update. Breakfast was acceptable and the staff were very helpful. It was a little disappointing that we were not able to just have a drink in the roof top restaurant to appreciate the views. We were told you were only allowed up there if you were having a meal which was grossly expensive.

We stayed just 1 night because we were going to fly early next morning,but it is always a pleasure to visit the old town at the top. We had a room with terrasse,but missed some outdoor furniture and flowers.

I liked the welcome, the reception area, the location, the value for money. This is not so much a complaint as an observation: in our room, if I remember correctly, the shower basin was cracked and the bedside light did not work.
