Featuring air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi access and an LCD TV, Hotel Cappello d'Oro is in the center of Bergamo Bassa, steps from the cable car to the historic center.
Score from 756 reviews Excellent
In the center of the city, Hotel Piemontese is just 165 ft from Bergamo Train Station and right in front of the shuttle-bus stop to Orio Al Serio Airport and Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital.
Score from 859 reviews Very good
Hotel Arli is in lower Bergamo, 2.5 miles from Orio al Serio Airport, and features an excellent restaurant and a luxury spa center.
Score from 310 reviews Excellent
Just 320 yards from the Bergamo Train Station, this NH hotel is also near the shuttle departures for Orio Al Serio Airport. The rooms feature free Wi-Fi.
Score from 709 reviews Very good
Hotel very clean, close to town centre and the cable car for "Bergamo Alto". Staff helpful, breakfast quite good, bed comfortable, wifi everywhere.
Small room (we had a superior room - I cannot imagine what a standard room would be). Luggage deposit room not controlled by staff.
Everything: location, comfort, service, restaurant. This is one of the best hotels in Bergamo.
Everything (well almost)
No real bar for casual drink
Old nasty hotel, overpriced. Really bad experience. Only reason i booked was visit of michelin star restaurant/ roof garden. Restaurant lost star last year and i am not surprised.
The location, staff
The heating is starting at 6 o'clock.. It was very cold in the room and bathroom. Not worth fir the price we paid
The hotel was nice. Good view. Clean and comfortable.
The receptionist offered us to call a taxi taking us to the airport. At the airport we had to pay €25 for 5 minutes around 3km service. :-( Not too fair!
The location was prime, the service was excellent, they even provided me on request with wine glasses. The breakfast delicious and the sauna was a nice treat. The bathtub is amazing
The room lacked an iron and an ironing board, I did not need it that bad, but this should be a standard for 4* hotels
Nice hot room with big comfortable bed...toilet was also looking luxury!!!veryyy good location just some steps from the beginning of old city...breakfast good quality!!!
A large room with a beautiful view.
The furniture was a bit dated. Lots of stains on the carpet.
missing iron, tea and teapot in the room
The best breakfast we had in Italy, choice was great and was nice to have fresh fruit. Great location between the train station and access to the upper town. Highly recommend this hotel.
Not getting to see the rooftop restaurant as it closed for holidays, one very flat pillow brought the comfort quality to good rather than excellent.
Nice reception/lobby & breakfast areas. Great location between the centres of the upper and lower towns.
Our room was a little tired looking. The otherwise decent breakfast was let down by awful coffee. The bar service was very slow - not the barman's fault, as he had to be called each time from wherever he was..upper town maybe?
Breakfast; bread could be better
Very good breakfast
Parking was not part of the package and was extra charged
A great position for exploring old town and new town. Spacious lobby, attractive quiet rooms. Breakfast very good in a pleasant room with excellent views
Location. Breakfast. Everything is good to very good.
Shower was inflexible. Hard to keep water from shower spraying on floor.
The cable car that takes you to the old city is a few minutes walk. A few minutes walk in the opposite direction and your in the new town, bus station & Railway Station. Milan only 60 minutes from Bergamo by train.
Everything was great from check-in to check-out. Staff were efficent yet very friendly. We were on bed and breakfast and didn't need lunch as the breakfast was super with a marvelous selection to chose from. At check-in we were told we had been up graded and were given a lovely room with a balcony on the second floor. The room was perfect. I will recomend this hotel to everyone and hope to return in the spring. Thankyou Booking.com and a big thanks to all at the Excesior San Marco
Everything was perfect
Location and entrance are great
Rooms and hallways look horrible Urgent renovation needed!!
Great location near bus stops, funiclore, eateries etc. Great staff, clean hotel, nice breakfast!
Centrally located, very comfortable room and bed; parking easy and cost reasonable for location. Sky Italia in rooms. Great breakfast.
We were really pleased with our choice of hotel as it had an excellent location. Rooms are a bit old fashioned with regard to design but every little detail has been catered for and we were very pleased. Breakfast is also nice. Staff is very helpful.
Location, comfort, free WiFi
expensive parking, poor breakfast compared to the class of the hotel
Staff at front desk very helpful and friendly. Umbrellas available at the front door which was great as it did rain a lot. Breakfast was very good especially the coffee. It was very convenient to the new and the old town.
Our room had no views and were there for five day's and even though I did ask was told that there were no other options. Coming from the very plush entrance into the very run down area where our room was situated was a real shock. We did wonder if it was because we had booked through booking.com . In this part of the hotel the carpets were so threadbare that they had ripped and my husband actually tripped on them, luckily he didn't fall. If we went back to Bergamo I think we would definitely try and find a hotel in the old town with some views as the area is full of outstanding scenery just not visible from this hotel.
Location and breakfast
I had ordered a bottle of prosecco to be in the room on arrival but that was not the case. On questioning at the desk, I was - somewhat unfriendly - told that I had not replied to the menue sent. That was not the case and I had to ask twice to make it happen. This was disappointing for a hotel of your standard.
