Hotel Fortuna  

First of all, Perugia is fantastic!!!! Definitely worth a night or two. We were there two nights. Hotel Fortuna happily met my request for "great rooms" --- We were given Room 309 (a Deluxe Room) --- which had two bath rooms, a fabulous fresco vault ceiling (not a high ceiling), an exquisite anterior (shared) salon with frescoed ceiling, and access to a small terrace overlooking red tile roofs. VERY Pleasant! I would ask for any room "flanking" the shared salon and that small "smokers?" terrace! Up 2 short flights is the modest roof terrace with a nice view over roof tops of the valley view. We enjoyed our wine and cheese up there one night. The other "deluxe" room was more simple, and had a more complex walk to the room through hallways. Room 215 sports an incredible view, from each of the three windows. One is a small (step out) balcony. The view again, is worth gold! The room just needs some pictures on walls (but who's looking at that?) The breakfast was good, and the room special and bright. The location of the hotel, the quiet, and the fantastic staff is hard to beat! Do not hesitate to email and "chat" with these people. They were prompt and wonderful in all responses to my requests prior to our arrival and during our stay. Parking is 25 Euro per day, and necessary. (You drive in ADVENTUROUSLY, and they park it and bring it to you.) Thank you Frederica at the hotel, and all other wonderful staff!

Great location would stay again, the young woman that did up our room and served breakfast in the morning was so pleasant it made our start for the day that much better what a great employee, sorry that I lost her name she should get a promotion.

When we go again I would request a room at the back not on the street the night we were there there was a party down the street could not sleep at all

The Hotel and its services were very correct. Excellent location in the city center with many options for restaurants and pubs. You may request a room with view. Not very easy to get there if you travel in car but apart from that everything was ok.

Excellent location close to the Historic Centre of Perugia. We travelled with friends and had booked two double rooms close to each other with balconies. Our rooms were beautifully fresh and clean when we arrived and were maintained perfectly during our stay. The hotel building is full of character and if we return to Perugia will certainly stay there again. Staff at the Fortuna were friendly and helpful at all times. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Its central location, the highly professional staff and its affordability.

Convenience to locations of historic and artistic value. Hotel was engagingly unique, and staff were friendly and professional. Views from our room were picturesque.

The price of our room was, I thought, disproportionately high. Possibly the hotel was taking advantage of the Perugia chocolate festival, for which we had little use. I would recommend the hotel, but would caution prospective clients as to its rates.

The hotel stuff was full of patience and polite. All the people in the reception desk helped us with advice and gold tips. The room was intimate and romantic and very clean. The dining room is a pleasant way to start the day.

1. Sometime there was a sewerage smell at the bathroom. 2. the air- conditioned didnt do its job and the cooling power was very low. We asked to fix it, but it stayed tha same as in the begining of our stay.
