A 20-minute walk from Pompeii's ruins, this stylish Pompei Resort is half a mile from Pompeii Train Station.
Score from 672 reviews Very good
Located right in front of the Pompeii archeological site, Hotel del Sole offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, and some with a panoramic balcony.
Score from 819 reviews Very good
Set in central Pompeii, Eco is only 100 metres from the regional and national train stations. The unique ruins of Pompeii UNESCO World Heritage Site are a 5-minute walk away. Wi-Fi is free throughout....
Score from 183 reviews Wonderful
An impressive pink villa of the 18th century, Relais Villa Signorini is set between the Portici Royal Palace and the seaside. Most rooms offer views of the gardens. Parking is free.
Score from 227 reviews Very good
Right across the street from the Nuceria gate Pompeii entrance. Nice courtyard in which to relax after exploring Pompeii.
Shower a little small.
Bed was really comfy. Rooms had air conditioning. Staff were friendly. Food was great. Excellent value for money. Perfect location for visiting ruins and surrounding area. In walking distance of train station. Fantastic place across the road for pastries, gelato & drinks! Great restaurants in town, again within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone. Will be visiting again.
Mosquitos!! Beware - and protect yourself with spray when out and about.
Great view of Mt. Vesuvius but.......
Request to not have a room facing the street if you are staying Saturday and/or Sunday nights....they party till all hour of the morning, driving up & down the street, honking horns, loud music and visiting in the street cafes.
Every thing was good: Location, staff at counter very kindly, cleanless, breakfast
The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The quality was high, the extra bed we asked for was ready when we arrived, the staff were pleasant and energetic. And we entered Pompeii (thru the back entrance) in 5 minutes from the hotel.
The parking was a bit hard to figure out until we temp parked and asked at reception, then no problem.
This hotel is located right by the entrance at the far end of the excavations, perfect for access. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was good, plenty of restaurants around. We had a junior suite which was very spacious.
Location, facilities, staff
The food from the restaurant is a bit expensive and variety is limited although it taste good. Breakfast is ok but not brilliant.
It was close to the entrance (big deal)
Seems like the hotels that are close to the entrance just ride on that fact and offer nothing else. (such as a room quality and service that matches their advertising statements ... or price!) Jaded rooms, bored attitude from front desk and restaurant staff. Football field with screaming kids right outside the room (most rooms based on the shape of the building) no soundproofing. Restaurant (go elsewhere.. anywhere) Parking is stated but its off site. Overall, don't stay close to the entrance or even in Pompeii...
Good hotel Friendly staff Handy location Good parking
We loved the location, the cleanliness, the very modern bedroom and extremely comfortable bed. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The staff were mainly excellent with the exception of our first morning breakfast staff who must have been having a bad day.
We would have liked more choice of hot breakfast food and the lady who served us breakfast on our first morning was not particularly friendly
Location by entrance to Pompeii which was what we wanted
Everything, we could not fault it in any way. The location is perfect, facilities superb, food delightful and the staff so very friendly and helpful. Their advice on taxis, guides etc was invaluable, and we hope that Gennaro's ankle is better!
Steps off the busy streets of Pompeii lies the oasis of the Hotel Forum. Beautifully appointed rooms, lobby and dining area. Incredibly peaceful garden to relax in and enjoy a glass of wine. Lovely terraces overlooking Mt. Vesuvius. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoy livley Pompeii and then realx at The Hotel Forum.
Good choice for Pompeii close to the entrance which leads to the amphitheatre. We had all to ourselves first thing.
Location was great. Quiet. Had secure parking. Helpful staff
No tea / coffee in room, though these were free from reception
Everything was great. The staff did all they could for us and the location is fantastic to visit the ruins. We had a car and the car park was just across the road, so very convenient.
Nothing to dislike.
The gardens dominated by lemon trees & grape vines, enabling dinner to be taken in the open air under pergola; the menu was limited & repetative, but chef competent. Located in town centre, but up laneway so very quiet. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast in excellent surroundings.
Our room as booked for 3 nights was quite old but large & more than fit for purpose. Good value. But oh dear, the bed base creaked loudly at every restless turn, the thin non-matching mattress trampoline like. However, we were relocated without fuss for the remaining two nights to a very modern fully renovated room at no additional cost. All forgiven.
We liked every thing about this hotel. The garden area is beautiful. We stayed in one of the updated rooms No29. Wifi and mini bar included in the room rate. Great spot to visit every thing in Pompeii. Not far from the stastion for visiting other areas.
To visit the Pompei site you can't have a better location with free parking. Very nice inner garden and perfect free wifi coverage all around.
The hotel is in a really good location for the ruins, its close to both the railway lines. We had an economy room, which was lovely, very comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was good, nice choice and the evening restarant good value Wifi was a bonus too it was really good value and would recommend the hotel .
Would have liked tea/ coffee making facilities in the room..thats it !
A super hotel find and I would unhesitatingly recommend it to others.
I would suggest they show prices on their evening meal menu displayed in the court yard as I think not knowing the prices deters people from eating there because they assume it will be expensive when it is reasonably priced.
Close to Visovio volcano
The hotel itself was a lovely building with extremely comfortable and spacious rooms with a large ensuite bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location very near to the ruins was perfect.
A lovely hotel, in a wonderful location just metres from the ruins, with friendly, helpful staff and convenient parking. And all at a very reasonable price.
