Gunstige ligging aangaande Biënnale. Uitzicht over de schitterende kade, mits kamer aan de voorkant. Uitstekend ontbijt voor Italiaande begrippen. Mooi linnen servetten en tafelkleden mooi servies en mooi bestek.Heel goeïg dakterras, met weer prachtig uitzicht.Goed en vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijke Italiaanse sfeer in hotel! De situatie lift, die zich in de ontbijtzaal bevond en waar dus de vertrekkende gasten met koffers langs de zelfserviceontbijttafel liepen. Een liftje voor 150 kamers wel wat weinig.De badkamer mag zeker een upgrade. Ook de bedden zijn o.i. oud. en te hard. De kussen zijn ook oud, een heel dun en zacht kussentje en een heel hard kussen. Moet verbeterd worden. Plastic glazen die al breken als ze eenmaal uit het plastic tevoorschijn komen. |

Goed gelegen voor een bezoek aan de Biënale. Is aan renovatie toe. Is in huidige toestand slechts 3 sterren waard. |

Although I had booked a budget single bed room only, I got a large spacious room with two windows looking onto riva degli schiavoni and the lagoon, respectively. I was overwhelmed. I guess (due to availability) this can not happen to every guest, but it happened to me. In addition, I liked the classical, traditional italian style of the hotel very much - although as a non-italian one should allow for some understanding and openness for the italian conception of style. |

The location on the lagoon and the view from my window after I asked to be moved from my initial room...if I stood on a chair and leant out I could see the water. The rooms were tiny, my first room was like a coffin with a washbasin behind a separate door. In neither of my rooms did the television work properly..television set very old. Beds uncomfortable, bath did not have a plug, corridors like a rats maze, coffee in the morning was disgusting. |

The location is excellent, close to St.Mark squere. The view from our room was awesome to Grand Canal. Cheese and wine party on rooftop terras in sunset overlooking city , Pizza and wine lunch in the quiet rose garden for lunch break . Comlementary breakfast plenty and delicious. It was worth every penny. |

The hotel had a very friendly staff. The owner took time to meet and greet the guests. The hotel has been in the same family for over 150 years. |

The location was excellent and the staff was helpful in suggesting sightseeing locations that we had not planned on seeing. Additionally, the bar staff kept open past normal time to allow us to finish our bottle of wine at a leisurely pace. |

We stayed for 3 nights commencing 19th OCTOBER.We were looked after very well by extremely courteous staff.Location is very good particularly if you arrive via Marco Polo Airport.The hotel and our rooms were unusually spacoious for Venice .The Breakfast Buffet was excellent and well presented. The Hotel badly needs to update rooms especially bathrooms,they were probably last done, looking at the tiles in 1980.The charming family of elderly owners need to recognise style has moved on and they cannot forever shelter behind its antiquity |

The biggest thing we found was the lady whose family oversee's the hotel, she made us feel very important, she was the highlite of our stay Nothing, everything was great, it was by far the best place we stayed, including Portafino |

In fact, we liked everything: the location, the room with the view, the friendliness and usefulness of the staff, the understated elegance. We also liked the breakfast food (with the unusual inclusion of cappuccino and espresso), the presentation, and the service . We would stay again in this hotel and we would recommend it to anyone. We also liked very much the booking.com selection and service. |

our secondn stay...we had a wonderful room with a fabulous view and a grand bathroom...room 512 we were delayed one night due to a robbery in cortona and we were very disappopinted that you insisted on charging us for the night we were unable to arrive |

. decor was pleasant, clean, and representative of early 1900's. the location was excellent. Great shopping and eating was right there. loved it. I was facing the lagoon which I asked for and the view was breathtaking but very noisy due to all the water traffic. However, once the shutter was closed the noise could barely be heard. For me the view was worth it. |

olde worlde chic without the threadbare rugs, this hotel was so friendly yet very classy, rooftop terrace was a hidden gem, especially with the waiter service. Great location |

The location, the beauty and old charm, the garden and roof top of this hotel. The ease to and from train station and vaporeto to the airport. Yes, the staff. Very arrogant. UN-Friendly never a smile or a welcome. Used only single words when asked questions. Shame because the hotel is beautiful. |
