Internet for once free of charge, but - never mind - it was so slow that any normal person would not have the patience to use it - and that goes for both wired labtop connection in the room and the computers available in the lobby.

The breakfast buffet was very very good, great selection of food including some home made cakes and scones. The hotel was quiet even though it was close to the main road. Free bike hire is a plus. The design and layout of the rooms and corridors had the personal touch. Hotel staff were polite and obliging. Even though the hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the center of Riva, there were a grocery shop and numerous restaurants only 5 minutes walk from the hotel which meant this was not an issue. Hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the lake shore. If I ever go back to Riva again I would definitedly stay at this hotel again.

Two little things - sign posting from the main road is not great. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the main road but it is in the middle of a cluster of hotels which makes it difficult to find in particular when you are driving in a car. There is a sign post on the main road but when you come off the main road there are two streets facing you and no sign post indicating which street it is on. Also the hotel is not facing the street which makes it difficult to find. A couple of more sign posts would make a big difference here. The other issue was that the computer in reception for the free Internet was poor, Internet Explorer kept failing because of memory problems

the locality of the hotel and breakfast is ok, the rooms are clean, the swimming pool is also available, a bit problem could be for the people who do not like the noice from other hotels in the evening

Bring your own LAN-cable if you want internet on the room as there are limited cables available

Very friendly and helpfull staff, Clean rooms.Good location near everything and still very quiet in the night time. Excellent breakfast buffet with Mrs Gabry's pastrys.

We enjoyed the location it was close to ever thing ,the staff were extremely helpful with both our unexpected problems and very helpful with suggestions of attractions in the area. Breakfast was first class, we would recommend The Gabry to our Travel agent and Friends

A pleasant surprise to start with, as we were upgraded to a superior room for no extra charge. It was spacious, with a large balcony, modern, clean and had good views. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful, from recommending nice restaurants and places we ought to visit, to printing off bus and train timetables for us, and getting the football results from home. In fact anything we wanted (or wanted to know), they went out of their way to provide. The free use of bikes for guests was great. The location was perfect - half a mile from the centre of Riva, (and a lot quieter for that) and a hundred yards from the shore of the lake. There were restaurants within two minutes walk in one direction and lakeside walks in the other. Lots of sporting activities within easy reach too.

Sehr unfreundliches Personal am Empfang! Trotz rechtzeitiger und bestätigter Stornierung eines von drei Zimmern musste diesesfür eine Nacht bezahlt werden. Hoffe, dass sich dies noch klärt!!!

Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal.

Schönes preiswertes Hotel in ruhiger Lage.

Streit im Nebenzimmer erlebt man voll mit.
