Hotel Canova is just down the road from the beautiful basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, in the heart of Rome. Walk to the Coliseum in less than 10 minutes. This small hotel was once a monastery.

Location is good
Room very smelly, couldn't sleep of the bad smell in the room. Poor breakfast Although the good location, I Wouldn't recommend it at all.
The receptionist was very helpful, kind, and gave me a perfect tourist guide for the city with maps, and buses to take, and everything.
The bathroom was uncomfortably small.
Comfortable, fantastic location, nice staff, wifi was good.
Single room was really small, but that's not a very big deal.
Location and staff are the best
Location and neighborhood was ideal. Down the hill is the Spanish steps, a block from the Via Veneto, up the street the Villa Borghese gardens, 5 min, taxi drive to Termini train station. Great accommodating staff, especially, Alessandra. Small room but with everything one needs. Outdoor cafes right outside the door, nice continental bkfst., safe neighborhood among the 10 star hotels.
Can't think of a thing.
The staff were most helpful, the room was clean and even though I booked a single room to my surprise I was allocated a double bed, really comfortable. Thanks Hotel Garda.
The hotel is located on the 4th floor and is difficult to find for the first time
Excellent staff, friendly and very helpful Good location close to Barbarini metro station/
Very poor breakfast even for big city like Rome, Very poor selection of food and not fresh, even the coffee was bad and instent. very crowded. At the first day the room wasnt clean at all.
I like the reception guy Raul, he was very nice to us.
the entrance to the hotel and the elevator.
Location and wifi are good.
The service, the facility, and the room are really not good at all.
The service is bad. And the room doesn't look clean at all. I will suggest not staying this hotel.
I haven't any problem.
Friendly staff, always there to help, and one of them even offered me a croissant when leaving slightly before breakfast (very unexpected and kind of him!) Perfect location, clean.
Rather small single rooms. No view. The usual thing for singles.
Staff were very good and helpful and changed the bed as soon as I asked as it was very uncomfortable. Clean linen and towel changes regularly. All in all basic but good for the price.
The communal reception/lounge areas were very small and the breakfast room too small, had to wait for a table for breakfast, also not much choice on the continental breakfast.
Great location, friendly, professional and helpful staff, lovely croissants & cappuccino @ breakfast
great location as within walking distance of many sites and near to metro station friendly and helpful staff
No matter when we went in or out there was always a receptionist there. They had a driver to meet us at the airport and take us back. The location was unbeatable. The price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.
The bed was a little hard and I would have liked more pillows.
Location excellent Staff excellent
Wifi very poor Bed very poor
Great location , staff very helpful and friendly
Very good value for money, good location. Cheap (relatively) mini-bar. Very friendly staff. One was very fluent in Russian.
wifi works only on the first floor. No place to dry cloths and shoes (we were in a quite a rainy time). Breakfast....well, its almost everywhere the same in low budget hotels in Italy and France.
Coffee, location and service are good.
During my staying there was poor wifi connection, one day it did not work at all.
Good location, good bed. Very large safe. AC with remote (can put right next to you in bed). Friendly reception team. Good arrangement on returning to the airport service. Wifi system was very good for multiple devices (one time login).
Breakfast food was poor and limited, bad coffee, tap water as mineral, crowded on pick times (need to wait sometimes). Shower really annoying jumps a lot between burn hot to freezing cold. Located in a residence building.
Friendly staff, good location
The beds were a bit too hard
-The staff was very friendly and helpful. The man explained us all the beautiful things to see in Rome and how to get there by metro or bus. -The hotel offered to pick us up at and bring us back to the airport by taxi for 50eu per trip. This was very handy and I would recommend this service. -The rooms were clean and there was a safe in the closet to put your personal belongings in. -The location was good. Restaurants, a metro station, the spanish steps, U.S. Embassy and a Despar supermarket are within walking distance from the hotel. -The breakfast was fine. Bread, cream rolls, choclate crossaints, milk, orange juice, coffee, jelly and honey. -I would come here again.
-Our shower in the bathtub wasn't equipped with a shower curtain, so the bathroom floor was easily wet. -The Wi-Fi connection lost connection pretty often. -Some members of the group thought the beds were hard.
