Hotel garden is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful antique decorated lobby, lounge and restaurant. The room is spotless clean and comfortable. Everything has great attention to details and the big landscaped garden is a delight to come back too. The hotel staff was very helpful. The first room given to us had a smoking smell and they immediately changed the room for us. The terrace where they served the breakfast had stunning views and the breakfast itself was abundant. The location is about 1.5k from the train station but u can take bus 10 to get to the door step( but don't take bus back to train station if u are in a hurry as it will go through the whole town first). It's a nice stroll to the town center or u can take many buses to nearby than walk. U can buy the bus tickets from the hotel.

Just the location. Some of the staff was not very kind. The lady working during breakfast was a bit rude, specially if you enter the restaurant just before the limit time for breakfast...also they start to pressure you to eat faster so they can arrange the restaurant. The other bad thing that happen was that they kept our passports during the stay and forgot to give them back to us (I was in a hurry and forgot to ask for them as well) and this is something the hotel is responsible for, not the guests. In order to get the passports back I had to pay for a courier in Rome and the hotel did not take any responsability for that which can happen since the hotel is not cheap and this was their mistake.

When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome by the receptionist who then gave us a local map and explained how we could get into and out of the old town. The staff were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days there - lovely breakfast, nice room with everything we needed for our break. Extremely good value for money and lovely views, a nice hotel to come back to during the day and relax on the terrace with a nice drink. The hotel was well placed for us to get into the old town and to the railway station (and we enjoyed the 20 minute walk into and out of town). All in all we thorougly enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Garden. Slightly hard mattress but we did get used to it!

Location We did not like the wooden flooring in the bedroom and corridors. This made it very noisy and uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep. Also at the time of our say Siena fc were there and the service we received was poor on that night. We made a complaint at the time and Alessandro dealt with it to our satisfaction.

We liked almost everything about Hotel Garden. There are very few thing that we did not like, but those will go in another section. Hotel has exelent location, and is very clean. Staff is very helpfull and frinedly, and they all speak english. We were very positively suprised by how good hotel looked. There is plenty of parking space and it is free. Hotel is just 20 minutes from the gates of Siena, and it is a very plesent walk. You can also get a bus, and there is also a number of them runing from the station very close to the Hotel. Walls in the vila, where we stayed are thin enough, so that you can hear people having fun in their rooms ( if you know what I mean :) ). I do not know if it is the same situation in the rest of the hotel, since it has two more buildings. Breakfast should be a little bit more better for a 4 star Hotel. So that is it :)

We liked the entire setting. This was a beautiful place with wonderful grounds. I would go back there in a second. My wife and I both loved it. Very romantic.

Very good atmospheric restaurent. Excellent bar and barman with good background music. Wonderful position overlooking Siena and the Sienese hills. Lovely gardens and pool with lots of places to sit. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Cleanliness was outstanding.

The hotel staff were very helpful. The first rooms they offered us were not to our expectations but they were very obliging in offering us better alternate rooms in the same price category. The breakfast was excellent and rooms were clean and fresh. Evening meals were of high quality and waiters were very helpful. A little to far from Siena city centre but not a major issue. Free parking was a pleasant surprise for a city visit. A good choice.

A beautiful hotel in downtown Siena, Italy. We were there only one night but it had beautiful grounds, great food and friendly/helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great deal for the price. We took a bus from Florence and basically feared for our life and decided the trip back would be by train. The bus was actually more expensive than the train. The bus was 14 euros and the train was 12 euros and that was for two people! Also they have nice wine tours in the beautiful countryside.

A nice place to stay, large quiet grounds with a pool and within a short distance of siena's center. Excellent breakfasts. Bathroom had a shower that had no shower curtain and the shower head itself was not attached to the wall (due to the slanted roof). Asked the front desk staff who initially thought it was a fault. On explaining, they offered another room but it wasn't in the same class as what was paid for. In the end they did nothing about it. That felt somewhat lazy.

We loved our room, with a lovely view over the countryside and the pool. It was very commodious, with windows on two sides of the room giving plenty of light and space. Only that in the morning very early we could hear much activity in the hall, people talking, rolling suitcases, etc. Very noisy in the morning.

Significant difference in staff quality. Front desk excellent. Restaurant and staff needs improvement. Bar was very nice with terras. Only badly organised when someone asked for bar food. Then the barkeeper was away for 15-20 minutes. Especially leaving new guests in surprice.

The staff were very very helpful, friendly and fun. The terrace was great for both relaxing and the view with bar snacks on offer, free of charge, during the afternoon and evening as well. The beds were comfortable. The grounds were spacious with pool, tennis courts, gardens etc all well spaced out. The aircon unit was very noisy and rattling when on, especially noticeable during the night. Internet access wasn't provided free, but wasn't overly expensive and was very reliable.

This is a lovely, nicely maintained "grand feeling" hotel. The gardens are beautiful and a delight to stroll around. The main building oozes charm and sophistication. The breakfast buffet offers a nice assortment of foods to choose from. The restaurant serves a wonderful dinner; the food and service were excellent. There was very little to dislike about this hotel.

The rooms are very comfortable but still authentic. The envoriment was very peacefull and calm. The tourists are like chetter boxes, they do not give a damn to the sleeping neighbours. While passing the aisles the covering of the aisles and the walking road should be replaced with something to prevent the sound of the wheels of the suitcases

Looks wonderful when you arrive and easy to park the car. Rooms in the annex are small, plain and very disappointing. Too many tour groups use this hotel.

“Made welcome on arrival. Staff always friendly, attentive and most helpful particularly in their ability to communicate with a poor Italian speaker ! Clean and comfortable - linen, bedclothes etc. Breakfast good - plentiful and tasty. Good service. Pool clean and always available. An ideal hotel for a relaxing break with fairly easy access to a beautiful city and the station for travel to airport at Pisa, trip to Florence etc.” Philip, Truro |
