Looks wonderful when you arrive and easy to park the car. Rooms in the annex are small, plain and very disappointing. Too many tour groups use this hotel.

The location is good, close enough to the city to walk, far enough away to be peaceful. Good breakfast selection. Good pool and garden area, if a little tired. Room was cleaned daily, but never thoroughly. A large damp patch of fungus isn one corner of the room, covered by a picture. Grounds and pool area need to be better maintained.

We had a really comfortable superior room with a view out over Sienna which I had requested on booking. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality sheets. The shower was powerful and hot and the towels were white and fluffy and large enough to wrap round you. Hotel staff were very helpful and curteous. It was just too far to walk from the hotel to the Duomo in Sienna although we did walk just into the walled city one night for a meal. If you are lucky you can park for free near the stadium and then its just 5-10 minutes walk to Il Campo.

Hotel Garden, clean and confortable, very good breakfast. The room only had a bathroom with an old shower, I missed the bath, however it was basic but clean. A bit far from the city centre.

The location just far enough away from the city to be quiet and the gardens were lovely. The staff were friendly and the rooms clean. Breakfast was superb.

The hotel staff were very helpful. The first rooms they offered us were not to our expectations but they were very obliging in offering us better alternate rooms in the same price category. The breakfast was excellent and rooms were clean and fresh. Evening meals were of high quality and waiters were very helpful. A little to far from Siena city centre but not a major issue. Free parking was a pleasant surprise for a city visit. A good choice.

We stayed at four hotels on a vacation trip to Tuscany and Umbria. Hotel Garden has the best variety of breakfast items. The hotel had lovely space (indoor and outside) for lounging with a great bar that provided cocktail snacks and a terrific bartender. The patio had a beautiful view of Siena. We arrived to be told we were given a free upgrade, however, we were assigned to Casabianca, which is a newer addition, separate from the main hotel. This annex is very institutional in feel. It is white inside and out. There does not appear to be any security. You have to exit the building and go back to the main building for the concierge, restaurant and bar. Many tour groups and business people stay at Hotel Garden. When we arrived, a group was arriving and the hotel could not assist us with our luggage. We were on our own. The upgraded room, had twin beds pushed together to create a king, a new, flat-screened tv, and a decent bathroom with a stall shower. Everything was decorated in white. The annex has thin walls, it was quite noisy. In addition, the lack of carpeting in the hall meant you could hear luggage being pulled along and people's heels clicking along. We had booked four nights at this hotel. We stayed three. The hotel accommodated our change of plans without any hassles.

A beautiful hotel in downtown Siena, Italy. We were there only one night but it had beautiful grounds, great food and friendly/helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great deal for the price. We took a bus from Florence and basically feared for our life and decided the trip back would be by train. The bus was actually more expensive than the train. The bus was 14 euros and the train was 12 euros and that was for two people! Also they have nice wine tours in the beautiful countryside.

For me, the key strengths of the hotel were its location and its high standard of comfort and cleanliness. The hotel itself is within easy distance of the centre of Siena, c15 minutes walk, or on a circle bus route running every 30 minutes. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view over the city and surrounding countryside. However, the room we were originally offered, though comfortable was not, in my view, a superior room and did not have any view, so one would have been very disappointed if that was all that was available. We stayed on a half board basis. Meals, in general, were of a high standard and good value for money, considering its position so close to such an important tourist centre. Food in the restaurant was very good, with an excellent selection of wines, many reasonably priced. We found the menu unvaried, though, as we stayed only three nights, this was not a big problem. Someone staying longer would, perhaps, look for more variety, especially in a region so famous for its cuisine. For the most part, the hotel had a very relaxed and peaceful ambience. However, the noise and bustle of the tourist parties, especially in the early evening, as they prepared to go out for dinner and, again, in the mornings as they prepared to leave, did spoil this peace and tranquility and, had we been there longer, I would have found it irritating.

A nice place to stay, large quiet grounds with a pool and within a short distance of siena's center. Excellent breakfasts. Bathroom had a shower that had no shower curtain and the shower head itself was not attached to the wall (due to the slanted roof). Asked the front desk staff who initially thought it was a fault. On explaining, they offered another room but it wasn't in the same class as what was paid for. In the end they did nothing about it. That felt somewhat lazy.

We loved our room, with a lovely view over the countryside and the pool. It was very commodious, with windows on two sides of the room giving plenty of light and space. Only that in the morning very early we could hear much activity in the hall, people talking, rolling suitcases, etc. Very noisy in the morning.

We were very lucky that Italy was having unusually hot weather for October. The hotel is beautifully situated above Siena, with a pretty swimming pool area (not heated and water very cold in October). We were able to have breakfast and drinks on the terrace, which was a very pleasant place to be. Our room in one of the annexes was spacious, clean, good bed and with a little verandah. Overall it was a very nice place to spend 4 days and to be able to come back to the pool after sightseeing and relax. Normally the pool is closed on 1st October (winter begins then!) so we were lucky they kept it open while the weather was still hot (a lifeguard must be on duty to comply with the law) I would not recommend this hotel to anyone not happy to either walk quite a distance into town (about 20 mins) or take a bus or taxi. It is on the outskirts of the city, which makes it very peaceful and quiet, but not if you want to pop out into Siena for a few minutes.

Significant difference in staff quality. Front desk excellent. Restaurant and staff needs improvement. Bar was very nice with terras. Only badly organised when someone asked for bar food. Then the barkeeper was away for 15-20 minutes. Especially leaving new guests in surprice.

Wonderful location with a 25 minute walk into the heart of the city. The pool was a great place to wind down in the afternoon. The views from the hotel overlooking the city were nice. Sienna was a perfect Italian town.
