Hotel Italia is a charming 20-minute walk from Siena's Piazza del Campo. In summer, enjoy free access to a nearby swimming pool and tennis court.
Score from 978 reviews Excellent
With its hilltop location, Sangallo Park Hotel offers panoramic views out over Siena and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Score from 495 reviews Excellent
NH Excelsior is a 10-minute walk from Piazza del Campo and 1 mile from Siena Train Station. It has air-conditioned rooms with modern décor, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 713 reviews Very good
Set 9 km from Siena, this 19th-century country house features a restaurant and outdoor pool. It offers traditional Tuscan rooms with wood-beamed ceilings, surrounded by sunflower fields.
Score from 315 reviews Wonderful
The reception, the terrace
The room (poor decoration, humidity), the lighting of the dining room and its set up
The room and lobby were shabby.
grounds and view from balcony, entrance and beautiful grounds
great territory, place to walk a dog, very green.
the bathroom facilities were old and difficult to control cold and hot water which are separate
Location grand styler hotel!
The bed was firm and very uncomfortable . No sound proofing and second hand furnishings. The rooms need a update for the price you pay.Bathroom was very small and lighting poor. Staff were very good on the front desk.
The view, location, breakfast, style
Cold water in the shower. Wi fi is not free
gardens, and views of Siena, Bar man very enjoyable, and very efficient, Breakfast selection good, and enjoyed making my own coffee,
location a little far from center of Siena, as we were using public transport. Annex a little tired, and could use updating!!!
location, view over Siena, staff, nibbles with evening drinks on terrace, bed and linen. Restaurant food ok but not special.
no sound insulation between rooms in casabianco block. clatter of heels on tiled floors, dragging of furniture in room above. People in next room had a party starting at midnight. Such a shame for an otherwise enjoyable eperience
The room, parking and the idea of hotel realy nice.
Litle too far from the city.
Needs a bit of walk (30 mts) to reach Centre of Sienna
Generally a nice hotel, great view over Siena old city.
Too far to walk to Siena town centre, disposable paper and plastic cups for this class of hotel is a no no.
View over Siena from the terrace. Bus stop outside the hotel for very easy access into Siena. Evening meals very reasonably priced. Staff dedicated and truely caring to their guests.
The fact that at breakfast people were taking used cups back to the coffee machine for a refill - there really should be a sign up asking guests to use a clean cup for a refill.
The most helpful staff I have come across - Federico was just GREAT! Also, I think it was Efi, she was just great too (thank you for sorting out my rental car :)). These guys could not do enough. Hotel rooms are a little old (at least the one we had) and a little out of town. We did not mind that as we enjoyed the walk and exercise (about 25 mins into town). Breakfast was good but surprised there was not natural fruit juice. BTW, it was close to the bus and about 15mins from the train station (may want to take a taxi if hauling luggage).
WiFi! I think this is the only hotel in Siena that charged for WiFi. I cannot understand why they would not include it. It was a mess. You had to get a WiFi code (and pay Eur 3) for each device. After doing so, the connection was pretty slow! I strongly advise Hotel Management to reconsider this aspect. Even to use the lobby computer, you had to get a code. I nearly did not stay at this hotel due to their WiFi policy as we had at least four devices. That said, Federico was quite helpful in coming to a fair arrangement. Again, their WiFi policy was perplexing to say the least.
The Hotel Garden was our last stop on our honeymoon. It was a good place to end our Italian honeymoon where we could relax. The bar and restaurant staff were very kind and helpful. However, they do seem understaffed.
It was our honeymoon and we noted this in our booking. However, no special consideration or even mention of our celebration was mentioned by any of the staff. In general, the front desk staff were quite cold.
Good dinner, friendly, helpful staff
Only one hour free on wifi, pay for more. Strange experience where they over charged us in the restaurant, but we caught it so all was well
A lovely place just outside of the centre of Siena with a view of city from the terrace. A beautiful place to sit and eat or have a drink. A fairy quiet pool and absolutely lovely staff that couldn't do enough for you.
We didn't have a bad word to say about this place.
Location, views from the hotel and Tuscan setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Beds were really hard and uncomfortable and only twins not doubles. The breakfast selection not that good. We did not stay for dinner so I could not comment on this
The grounds and position of the hotel was excellent. An easy drive from Pisa airport and not far off the motorway on the north side of the city.
The bed was a lot harder than expected
Friendly staff, location, amenities. How nice to return to the hotel after a busy day, to enjoy a swim, sit in the sun, enjoy the surrounding garden, or just enjoy a drink at the bar.
Beautiful setting and gracious, welcoming staff. The bar manager is very personable. It was a delight to sit outside in the bar with an amazing view of "old" Siena. Jazz music in the background. The breakfast buffet is well-stocked and well staffed. A lovely room with wonderful treats from local bakeries. Even scrambled eggs for Americans. The room was large and very well appointed. This was an oasis on a very busy itinerary.
The setting is beautiful, but is a 20-30 minute walk to the the city Centro. The #6 bus is handy, runs on the hour and half-hour, and you can buy tickets at the hotel desk. Retunring by bus in the evening can be tricky; the bus times and route seem to change at whim. Still, it was workable and I would stay here again.
The gardens, quiet location, good restaurant and overall standard of comfort
Hotel, room, staff, pool, breakfast, all about the hotel garden, great holiday.
didnt like evening menu.not a great selection.
A fabulous hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, peaceful location. Excellent visit.
Good hotel outside of the city. Count on about 30 minutes walk to the centre (there are also buses). Good restaurant, nice terrace with a view, good bar. Staff is superb.
Breakfast (very good selection for different tastes) was very crowded. During our stay unfortunately also groups with their own agenda that needed to be explained at breakfast with interested listeners around our table, at our table and at our chairs if we wanted to get something else.....
Very helpful and friendly staff. Bar Manager and Restaurant Manager great characters. Rooms cleaned superbly - clean sheets every day. Superb sun terrace and bar. Nice lounge.
Bedrooms - cramped and slightly oppressive made them only average and overrated. Restaurant - poor ambiance with uninspiring and limited menu.
