Nous avons très accueilli et conseillé par le personnel. Quelques personnes de l'équipe parlent français.

Le mobilier est un peu vieillot.

Un hôtel à 10 minutes à pied du centre de Florence. Hôtel calme, confortable, très propre. Buffet du petit-déjeuner très copieux, avec des produits frais (salade de fruits frais tous les jours, par exemple). Mais surtout un personnel accueillant, disponible, très aimable, de bon conseil, s'exprimant très bien en français... A recommander pour un séjour en couple ou en famille !

This hotel is like a B&B. this is a family-owned hotel just blocks from the duomo - heart of Florence. The staff takes pride in all aspects of the business, especially customer satisfaction. Good English, excellent breakfast and such charm.

Entering the hotel for the first time was a little scary. The front of the hotel is an old door with a brass plate with Hotel Giglio to the side. A door bell with a sign stated Ring if door is locked. Tiny elevator or steps up and dimly lit.

Extremely helpful tips and general support from the owners. Great location.

Friendly staff, well localized, walking distance of major tourist sites. The room was clean and comfortable.

There is a step inside of the bathroom that is very dangerous. Since the floor tiles are in the same color you do not se the difference of the two levels. They should try yocorrect this problem changing the color of the tiles.

Marco and his staff were excellent.. Marco was very helpful and provided good information about destinations and things to do.. He also was very generous in providing transportation for us. His wife was also very pleasant and helpful!

There was nothing that Marco and his family wouldn't do for you: print out maps, timetables, loan you an adapter, take the time for a chat -- even drive you to the train station! Because it's in an old building, the rooms are not tiny, but spacious, with high ceilings. Very quiet, as it's not right on top of Duomo, but slightly north.

No shelf space for clothes; no small shelf, in the shower for soap and shampoo; too-weak wifi signal in room 7, the furthest from the waiting room. It is free, though.

Personalized service by the owners themselves/always went out of their way to please their guests.

Location- the ground floor is very unappealing. No visible signs to guide guests how to get to the hotel which is located at the second floor. The ground floor with the old and small elevator is somewhat eerie. Not a very welcoming sight for first timers to the hotel.

Room was clean, and bathroom was updated. Clerk was affable and helpful.

Shower head was cheap, did not work properly. Bed mattress was hard, not comfortable. Not a convenient location, a long walk to central Florence. Common area/lounge was quite dated, small, uninviting. Room decor is dated,spartan. The whole facility struck one as looking very much like an "economy" facility, and not one that showed much pride of ownership.

A good value for money hotel, well situated for exploring Florence. Marco and colleagues were extremely helpful, particularly with suggestions for eating out, making bookings etc.

Basic brakfast...no hot food served........also room fridge was out of action and staff were not in a hurry to repair it.

Twin share room - beds are right next to each other, so not great if you are 'just friends'. Lucky I was sharing with my mum!

Very helpful staff. Friendly, giving good advice on eating places, how to get to tourist attractions, getting a parking spot. The Welcome Drink was much appreciated. Easy to reach by car. The hotel is located in an area with traffic limitations on the first floor (not the ground floor), 10-15 minute walk from Duomo, the main tourist area. Room and separate bathroom of good size. Quiet. Clean ! Breakfast choice of foods basic, but very much OK. Wifi connected quickly and volume/speed good. Books to read from a cupboard in a 'living room'-like reception area. Overall very friendly atmosphere, you immediately feel at home ! We would book again without looking for another hotel in Florence!
