Hotel GinevraVia Genova 116, Stazione Centrale, 80142 Naples (Show map) Review score 7 Score from 131 reviewsThe Hotel Ginevra is an intimate, family-run hotel close to Central Train Station and the port of Naples. Refurbished in January 2009, it offers clean and comfortable guest accommodations. Each room at the Ginevra Hotel has a unique, ethnic design. The popular shopping street Corso Umberto is just 220 mile away and the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants, cafes and of course, pizzerias. There is a traditional market just a few steps away where you can find lots of typical Neapolitan produce. The friendly staff are always available to help you plan your stay in Naples and beyond. For those of you who are traveling to the islands of Capri, Ischia, Procida or Sicily, Hotel Ginevra is located close to the main port and ferry terminal. Hotel Rooms: 18

No one answered the doorbell when we'd arrived the hotel and we had to called by cellphone. The staff didn't give any help and information. The room and bathroom was very poor. The room seems without clean for long time. My nose was very unconfortable cos the room covered with dust.

The hotel is 5 mins by walk far from the train station. The boss is nice to tell us the supermarket and the bus line. There are lots of black people to gather around the station area, which make us unsafe.

Hotel is well located, area is not really safe but it's difficult to find safe area in center of Napoli :) Good localisation if you want to explore Golfo di Napoli, close to trains and buses. Good price and friendly stuff. Ok for short stay.

It was pretty cheap and the entrance looked quite nice, there was also aircon and a balcony to dry out your towels on. The location was very far from the centre, not walking distance, the breakfast was very poor and started too late as we were both up early wanting to go places and do things. The shower was very small and you could hear a lot of noise from the other room around you.

We knew what sort of confort we could expect (with this budget). Nevertheless, the fact that the hotel only have one star doesn't exempt the owners to say hello when we arrive and goodbye when we leave, all the more that we always did an effort to express ourself in italian.

The staff was kind, although the language barrier made communication difficult. The location, while it was near the train station, was in a very scary and dirty part of town. We made a point to be in our room by dark each night. We had a room with a shared bath in the hall, and there were too many people sharing the bathroom so we always had to wait.

the perfect location, only 5 minutes walk from the railway station the room is quite close to the street, which made it hard to sleep during the night because of the noise. The area is not that safe enough.

It's quite difficult to figure out some good points of the Hotel Guinevra. The only thing which comes up to the mind is an unusual design. The funny thing was that at night it was quite difficult to enter the hotel and reach your rooms, cause the reception staff wasn't at their duty place during the night (and ovidentally that night started at this hotel after 10.30 pm ;)) We had to hear twice (during oour short stay) some guys knocking at the door for 15 minutes in order to entry the hotel. By the way, this hotel is on the second floor of ordinary house and no one gives you the keys from the main entrance. You have to ring in a hope that someone will open you ;) and during your "callings" some strange and dangerous-looking chocolate guys are passing behind your back thinking what thing is better to take from you) especially in the night) so guys, be sure that you'll return back to the hotel not later than the dask falls. We also had a very small room with icy water in the shower. No hot water quitq at all.

The hotel is okayish but located next to the Napoli train station, an extremely dirty and dangerous area. We got robbed in the streets twice in one night. In general, Napoli is a horrible city - to be avoided on the trip along the coast!

“The hotel's location is perfect - it's just around the corner from Garibaldi square where is the train station and also the station for the airport shuttle. The Old town starts right there and the port is only 5 minutes by bus. Rooms were clean and the staff was always helpful. Would recommend it for young travelers.” Klara, Jilove |
